    William Clifford Thorn, Jr., 65, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Andover, Ohio on February 8, 2016. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the loving son of the late William, Sr. and Clara (Pulvino) Thorn.

    William moved to the Niagara Falls area with his family as a child and attended the former St. Mary’s of the Cataract School. He was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School, where he studied Culinary Arts and began working as a Chef. He also attended Cosmetology school and worked at locally at various studios for many years. William was later employed as a social worker with Niagara Cerebral Palsy. In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling to Europe and South America.

    Mr. Thorn is survived by his brother Wayne Thorn and was predeceased by his sister, Dianne Thorn. He is also survived by his Uncles John and Russel Pulvino; one niece Lisa Harless; cousins Mary Ellen (Richard) Olka, Kelly (Bryan) Brooks, Theresa (Larry) Pinghera and John Scott.

    A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s of the Cataract Church in Niagara Falls at a later date. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
