June L. Ferchen (DeVantier), age 84, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on February 7, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 22, 1925 to the late Bernard and Louise (Klute) DeVantier. June attended St. James Lutheran School and graduated from LaSalle High School. She was employed with the Niagara County Water District for 20 years and at Jenss Department Store. June was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz and was active in the Women Of The Church. She was a charter member of the American Legion, Wheatfield Post 1451 Auxiliary, and an active member of the Town of Wheatfield Republican Club for many years.Beloved wife of the late Fremont C. Ferchen, who was called to his heavenly home on January 25, 2009. They were married 62 years. Survivors include two daughters, Colleen (Richard) Forsey and Deborah (Michael) Ciccone, both of Rochester; grandchildren, Jennifer Forsey and Christine Parry, both of Rochester and Stephanie (Jacob) Martin of Pownal, ME; brother, Ralph (Joan) DeVantier of Youngstown and a sister, Elaine DeVantier of Temecula, CA. She was predeceased by a brother, Glen DeVantier.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten on Thursday (Feb. 11th) at 11:00 AM in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street, in Bergholz.
