Haseley-The death of August J. Haseley occurred on Monday, Sept. 17th, at his home at Sanborn, N. Y. He was well known in this vicinity, coming to Sanborn from Germany at the age of seven years. He was also a veteran of the Grand Army of the Republic. He is survived by four sons, Henry, Philip and Emil of Niagara Falls, N. Y., and Hubert of Sanborn, and three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Loge of Sanborn, and Mrs. Chas. Gandt of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. Wm. Broecker of North Tonawanda; also 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at his late home on Thursday at 2 p. m. and at the St. Peter's Lutheran church of Walmore, N. Y., at 2:30 p. m. Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate. Burial in Walmore cemetery.

Prolonged Illness with Pneumonia Proves Fatal to Mrs. Lucy Loge.
Mrs. Lucy Loge, 62 years old, widow of John B. Loge, late of Middleport, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter (sic), Mrs. William Gandt, 2245 North avenue, fallowing a seven weeks illness with pneumonia and a complication of other diseases.
The deceased, who has lived in this city for the past two years, came here from Walmore, where she was born. Besides her daughter she is survived by one son, Fred R. Loge, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Gandt, of this city, and Mrs. William Brocker (sic), North Tonawanda. Four brothers, Henry, Philippineslip and Emil Haseley, of this city, and Herbert Haseley, Sanborn, also survive. Funeral sercives (sic) will be held Thursday at 1:30 from the home of the daughter and at 2:30 p. m. from St. Peter's church, Walmore. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.

LONG ILLNESS FATAL
Mrs. Charles Gandt, Resident Here 23 Years, Dies at Family Home. Mrs. Emma Haseley Gandt died yesterday at the family home at 473 Twenty-sixth street. Funeral services will be held from the home on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment will be in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Gandt was born in Sanborn on July 28, 1869, and had lived here for the past 23 years. She had been ill a year.
Besides the husband, Charles. she is survived by four daughters, Evelyn and Louise Gandt, Mrs. Mabel Burton. and Mrs. William Foltz, all of North Tonawanda; two sons Milford and Frederick, both of North Tonawanda; one sister, Mrs. William Broecker, of North Tonawanda, and four brothers, Philip, Henry and Emil Haseley, all of Niagara Falls, and Hubert Haseley, of Sanborn.

LEWISTON NATIVE DIES HERE AT 83
Henry J. Haseley a native of Lewiston. and a retired Carborundum Co, employee, died yesterday (May 5, 1955) at his home, 623 Pasadena Ave., at the age of 83. He had been ill for' approximately one year. Mr. Haseley had lived in this city for 30 years. He was retired from Carborundum in 1942 after 25 years as a fireman. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Haseley; threes daughters Mrs. Bessie Ziehm, North Tonawanda;
Miss Lena Haseley and Miss Gertrude Haseley both of this city, and a son, Henry Haseley Jr. also this city. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. William Broeker, North Tonawanda, and two brothers, Emil Haseley, this city, and Hubert Haseley, Sanborn. MAN HIT BY TRUCK DIED IN HOSPITAL
Otto Haseley of Saunders Settlement Road, Victim of Accident Near Home
Otto Haseley. 46 years old, of the Saunders' Settlement road, died yesterday afternoon In Memorial hospital from injuries received on Thursday night when he was run over by a motor truck near his home. Mr. Haseley suffered internal injuries. Coroner W. L. Draper, who investigated the accident learned that Mr. Haseley was standing: talking to another man who was in an automobile on the road in front of his home. He walked out around the machine in the path of a motor truck. The driver. J. M. Taylor of Lockport, saw him and tried to avoid striking him but was unsuccessful and the heavy truck passed over Mr. Haseley's body. He was taken to his home and was removed to the hospital here at 9 o'clock yesterday morning.

BROECKER-Rose E. (nee Haseley) Broecker, 87, of 367 Fredericka St., North Tonawanda, died Wednesday (Sept. 30, 1964) after a lingering illness. She was the wife of William Broecker, who died in 1955. Surviving are two sons, Hubert A. and Wilbert, and a daughter, Miss Stella Broecker, all of the Tonawandas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a brother, Hubert Haseley of Sanborn. Mr. Haseley is a former resident of Sanborn and is an employee of the Walter Johnson Building company.

Woman Shoots Self to Death in Home Here
Shot through the head in the bedroom of her home shortly after 7 pm. yesterday, Mrs. Ruth Gandt, 44 years old, 3245 North avenue, died almost instantly, acordlngto Coroner James.W. Heary, who said that the fatal wound was self inflicted. Mrs. Gandt has recently suffered a nervous breakdown and was being treated by a physician and, according to her husband, William Gandt, had frequently threatened to end her life. He told Coroner Heary and police who investigated that while he was drinking coffee in the kitchen of his home last evening his wife went into her bedroom and a few minutes later he heard a shot. He investigated and found her lying unconscious on the floor with his 22 calibre rifle under her body. He called police and Patrolmen John J. Collins, Charles Chappie, Detective Lieutenant Thomas Wasley and Detective William Wilson responded and found the woman dead when they arrived. The bullet had entered her right temple and lodged in her brain. Coroner Heary said that although his Investigation is not completed he expects to issue a. certificate of death by suicide. Born in Middleport, June 27, 1901, Mrs. Gandt came to this city 29 years ago. She leaves her husband. William H. Gandt; a son, William A. Gandt, and a brother, Fred R. Loge. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm., Friday at the Gridley Funeral home. 750 Main street, and a half hour later, in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church. The Rev. Leonhard M. Ludwig, DD., pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

BUFFALO - A former Niagara Falls resident, Henry E. Haseley, 56, of 35 Commonwealth Ave., died today (May 12, 1976) in Veterans Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Bergholtz, he lived in the LaSalle section of Niagara Falls for 35 years before moving to Buffalo. Mr. Haseley served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was awarded a purple heart during the invasion of Italy. He was active in local baseball circles. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Bessie) Ziehm of the Town of Wheatfield, and Lena and Gertrude Haseley, both of Buffalo. Funeral services will be held Friday at a time to be announced from the Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Otto officiating. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held here Saturday for Maude E. Hasley, of Bell, Calif., who
died unexpectedly Friday (Feb. 3, 1961) at Los Angeles, Calif. A former resident of this city, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip F. Hasley. A registered nurse, she was a graduate of the California Hospital where she was employed as a floor supervisor at the time of her death. Surviving are two sisters, Edna M. Hasley, this city, and Estelle K. Hasley, Bell, Calif. Services will be held Wednesday at Los Angeles, after which the body will be sent to Cobler's Funeral Home here where Rev. Alvin H. She is survived by a sister, Estelle K. Hasley (sic) of Pomona, Calif. She was predeceased by a sister Maude E. Hasley (sic) who died in 1961. Funeral services will be held at the R.L. She also lived on Saunders Settlement Road in Sanborn and worked as a secretary for General Electric for five years in Niagara Falls and five years in Los Angeles

BROECKER – Stella Broecker, 72, Tuesday (September 25, 1979) in Hollywood, Fla. Miss Broecker was a resident of Hollywood the past eight years and former resident of North Tonawanda. She was a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a brother, Wilbert Broecker of Tonawanda, two nieces and three nephews. Sister of the late Hubert Broecker.

BROECKER – Wilbert W. (Bill) Broecker, 76, of Tonawanda, Saturday, (November 23, 1985) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A native of North Tonawanda, he had been a resident of Tonawanda for the past 44 years and was the brother of the late Hubert and Stella Broecker. Mr. Broecker had been employed at Spaulding Fiber Company for 13 years until 1971 and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and a 50 year member of Gratwick Hose Company.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (nee Struebing) Broecker; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Sandra) Marraffino of West Chester, NY and a son Bruce (Kathleen) Broecker of Lockport; seven grandchildren, Franklin and Joseph Marraffino, Stephen, Christine, Matthew, Sharon and Rachel Broecker.
There was no prior visitation. Funeral services were held Monday at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Richard H. Trump officiated. Burial in Elmlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Church of Christ. Arrangements by John O. Roth Funeral Home Inc.

Kermit A. Haseley, 76, a retired dairy farmer on Saunders Settlement Road, died Saturday (Aug. 29, 1998) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
He was born in the Town of Niagara and attended local schools.
In addition to operating the family farm, Haseley was a volunteer firefighter. He was an exempt member of Sanborn Fire Company and played in its band for about 40 years.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road.
Haseley enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Janice Werth; a son Rodney; a brother, Franklin of Florida; a sister, Alice Wolf; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

SANBORN — Alice M. Wolf, age 87, of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home on May 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in the Town of Niagara, NY, on October 15, 1923 to the late Hubert and Elsie (Walck) Haseley. She was united in marriage to Edwin W. Wolf on September 27, 1947. He entered into rest on March 23, 1986.

Alice was employed at the former Bell Aircraft and Wurlitzer Company during war time, and later at the Fairchild Nursing Home in Lewiston, as a kitchen aid for 17 years. She was a life long member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Walmore, and active with the Ladies Aid, and was a member of the Sanbornite Seniors. Alice enjoyed traveling and working in the yard. She enjoyed her three dogs, especially Mollie.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan F. Wolf of Sanborn; four grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Stines, Melinda (Ron) LePine, Jessica Wolf and Jason Wolf; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Stines, Alexander Stines, Alexis Aughlman, Nicholas LePine and Marrissa Stoddard; daughter-in-law, Laurie Wolf of Niagara Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Bruce Wolf; and two brothers, Kermit and Franklin Haseley.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Gamache', on Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Walmore Road in Wheatfield. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Iron Mountain – Ruth L. Seely of New Port Richey, Fla., passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

She was born on August 27, 1928, to the late Fred and Florence (Hasley) Loge’ and grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, and lived in Lewiston, NY, before moving to Florida. She truly enjoyed traveling and was able to spend a lot of time in Mexico and Niagara, Wisc. where she liked reconnecting with nature, the smell of wood smoke in the air, Canadian geese, the slower pace of life and the color of leaves in Autumn. Ruth liked playing Mexican Train, practicing Tia Chi, doing water aerobics, and was a super competitive ping-pong player.

She is survived by two sons Chuck (Vicki) Seely, Phoenix, Ariz., Jim Seely, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.; one daughter Carol (Bob) Harrigan, Lutz, Fla.; one brother Howard Loge’, Grand Junction, Colo.; four grandchildren Caroline (Chris), Kristine, Jennifer, Bobby and special friend Gary Johnson, Niagara, Wisc.

NIAGARA FALLS — Patricia Ann Janis, formerly of 72nd Street, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Schoellkopf Health Care Center. She was 71. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, on July 24, 1940, the daughter of Frederick and Mary E. (Scotland) Gandt.

She attended local schools. In November of 1966, she married Leonard F. Janis, later blessing their marriage with a son, Leonard; and a daughter, Lori. As a young woman, she worked for Goodbody and Company Brokerage Firm as a secretary for several years. Later in life, when her children were older she worked for Dr. Henry Merletti for several years also as a secretary. As time permitted, she enjoyed crocheting, learning to country line dance, but most especially enjoyed her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include her two children, Leonard F. Janis and Lori A. Fountain, both of Niagara Falls; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Langer, Cody and Faith Fountain; her brothers and sister, Fred Gandt (Grace) of North Carolina, James E. Gandt (late Georgia) and Mary L. Gandt Brockway (Dave), both of Ransomville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; her husband and love of her life, Leonard F. Janis, she was predeceased by her sister, Diane Gandt Deschamps and her husband, Ed.

Friends may call on Friday after 11 AM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where the Rev. Slawomir Siok SAC will conduct funeral services at 12 Noon. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.

SANBORN - Bruce V. Wolf, 41, of Griffin Street, died Wednesday (Nov. 25, 1992) in Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 3, 1951, in Niagara Falls, the son of Edwin and Alice (Haseley) Wolf. He had resided in Sanborn throughout his life.
He was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
He worked at the Saginaw Plant of the Chevrolet Division in Buffalo for 10 years.
Wolf is survived by his wife, Laurie R. (Feger) Wolf; three daughters, Michelle Wolf, Melinda Wolf and Jessica Wolf, all of Sanborn; a son, Jason Wolf of Sanborn; his mother, Alice Wolf of Sanborn; a sister, Susan Wolf of Sanborn; several aunts and uncles.
His father died in 1986.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Dubois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Sanborn (sic). The Rev. Herbert R. .
