George C. Haseley
NIAGARA FALLS - George C. Haseley, 89, of 1833 Saunders Settlement Road, died Thursday (June 12, 1975) in DeVeaux Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. A life-long resident of the Town of Lewiston, he had operated a farm on Saunders Settlement Road prior to retiring 15 years ago. He was a lifetime member of Peter's Lutheran Church and at one time served in the church council. Survivors include a son, Milton Haseley of Lewiston; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Sylvia) Jagow of Sanborn; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold L. Baum officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Young Man of 20 Called by Death
SANBORN, Jan. 11.-Howard C. Haseley, 21 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Haseley, of the Saunders Settlement road, two miles west of this village, died today at the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls. Mr. Haseley underwent an operation about three weeks ago and was on the road to recovery and removed to his home. Later a relapse developed and he was returned to the institution. Besides the parents, Mr. Haseley is survived by one brother, Milton, and one sister, Sylvia, both at home. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at St. Peter's church, Walmore, at 2:30. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.

Sylvia E. Jagow (Haseley), age 94, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2009, while at the Niagara Hospice House in the Town of Lockport, after a short illness. Born in the Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY on July 16, 1914 to the late George and Eleanora (Walck) Haseley. Sylvia was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Walmore, where she was active in the church women's organizations and church choir. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and gardening. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Herbert A. Jagow, Sr. on July 2, 1979; they were united in marriage October 28, 1938; a son, Lloyd Jagow; two brothers, Howard and Milton; and a sister, Arline.Survivors include three sons, James Jagow of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, Herbert (Deborah) Jagow of Sparks, NV and Roger (Carolyn) Jagow of Eau Claire, WI; five grandchildren, Rethema, Marcella, Matthew, Kirsten and Philip; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one nephew.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Sunday from 12-3 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Gamache' on Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church on Walmore Road in Wheatfield. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Milton N. Haseley
Milton N. Haseley, 84, of Crestwood Health Facility, formerly of the Town of Lewiston, died July 11, 2001, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in the Town of Lewiston on August 4, 1916, to George and Eleanora (Walck) Haseley. He was a lifelong resident of the town and a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore. He was self-employed as a fruit and produce farmer for most of his life. He was a past member of Lewiston No. 2 Fire Company, Colonial Village. Survivors include one sister, Sylvia Jagow of Sanborn; three nephews, James, Herbert Jr., and Roger Jagow; three great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Howard Haseley. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz, in Wheatfield. The Rev. Bruce Gamaché will conduct services on Monday, July 16, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to SI.
