    LONG ILLNESS FATAL
    Mrs. Charles Gandt, Resident Here 23 Years, Dies at Family Home. Mrs. Emma Haseley Gandt died yesterday at the family home at 473 Twenty-sixth street. Funeral services will be held from the home on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment will be in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Gandt was born in Sanborn on July 28, 1869, and had lived here for the past 23 years. She had been ill a year.
    Besides the husband, Charles. she is survived by four daughters, Evelyn and Louise Gandt, Mrs. Mabel Burton. and Mrs. William Foltz, all of North Tonawanda; two sons Milford and Frederick, both of North Tonawanda; one sister, Mrs. William Broecker, of North Tonawanda, and four brothers, Philip, Henry and Emil Haseley, all of Niagara Falls, and Hubert Haseley, of Sanborn.

    Mrs Evelyn E. Page, 73, of 473 6th ST. died today (Mar 11, 1967) in Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Page was a native of North Tonawanda and has resided in this city since 1902. She was for 45 years an employee of Prestolite Co. Division of the Eltra Corp. retiring in 1957. She was the widow of the late Percy Page. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Corkill, Mrs. Rose L. Foliz, Mrs. Mildred A. Gandt, all of Niagara Falls, and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Coblers Funeral Home Saturday at 1:30 pm by the Roger E. Purdy. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from & to 9 pm and Friday am.

    Mrs. Mabel W. Corkill, 75. of 223 67th St., died Sunday (Jan. 17, 1971) in Memorial Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Doc. 16. Born in North Tonawanda, she had been a resident of this city for 70 years. Survivors include her widower, Walter Corkill; two sons, Albert Burton of this city and Thomas Burton of Westminster, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs Margaret Britton of Los Altos, Calif.; two sisters, Milford Gandt and Mrs. Rose Foltz, both of this city: six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Cobler Funeral Homo at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Roger E. Burdy officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.     Frederick A. Gandt. 51, of 312 Eighth St., died today (May 15, 1958) of a heart attack at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, he lived in Niagara Falls since he was six months old. He was employed at the Carborundum Co. as a lathe operator for 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Scotland F. Gandt; two sons, Frederick C. and James Gandt; three daughters, Dianne, Patricia and Mary Louise Gandt, and four sisters, Mrs. Percy Paige, Mrs. Walter Corkill. Mrs. Rose Foltz and Miss Milfred Gandt, all this city. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cobler's Funeral Home, the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer officiating.     A lifelong resident of this city, Mrs. Louise L. Clooney, 40, of 404 Fifty-fifth street, died yesterday in Memorial hospital.     NIAGARA FALLS — Patricia Ann Janis, formerly of 72nd Street, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Schoellkopf Health Care Center. She was 71. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, on July 24, 1940, the daughter of Frederick and Mary E. (Scotland) Gandt.

    She attended local schools. In November of 1966, she married Leonard F. Janis, later blessing their marriage with a son, Leonard; and a daughter, Lori. As a young woman, she worked for Goodbody and Company Brokerage Firm as a secretary for several years. Later in life, when her children were older she worked for Dr. Henry Merletti for several years also as a secretary. As time permitted, she enjoyed crocheting, learning to country line dance, but most especially enjoyed her beloved grandchildren.

    Survivors include her two children, Leonard F. Janis and Lori A. Fountain, both of Niagara Falls; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Langer, Cody and Faith Fountain; her brothers and sister, Fred Gandt (Grace) of North Carolina, James E. Gandt (late Georgia) and Mary L. Gandt Brockway (Dave), both of Ransomville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; her husband and love of her life, Leonard F. Janis, she was predeceased by her sister, Diane Gandt Deschamps and her husband, Ed.

    Friends may call on Friday after 11 AM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where the Rev. Slawomir Siok SAC will conduct funeral services at 12 Noon. Interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.

He is predeceased by his dear mother Georgia C. (nee Hicks) Gandt and a brother Freddie C. Gandt.
