He was a health commissioner during the late Eugene De Kleist's regime as mayor. He was a member of the Men's Club of the St. Matthew's Church, in the congregational membership of which he also was enrolled. Surviving are a son, Harvey A. WALMORE July 5-David Haseley, 80 years old, died suddenly last evening at the family home in the Lockport road.. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at thet home and at 1 o'clock at St Peters Lutheran church in this village. The Rev. Edward A. Grabau will officiate and Interment will be in Walmore cemetery. Mr. Haseley was-born on the farm where he died, a son of the late.David and Fredericka Haseley, pioneer Walmore settlers. In past years he had been a successful farmer but retired several years ago. Since that time the Haseley farm had been operated by a son, Albert L. Haseley. Mr. Haseley had been a leader to St. Peter's church for many years. He had served on various committees and was active In ail branches of church work. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Theresa Haseley, and the one son.

Mrs. William Kroening (nee Bertha Pfuhl) well known in this village, died in Memorial Hospital Saturday night, after a serious operation. Lockport Road Man Laid to His Final Rest in Walmore Cemetery.
SANBORN, May 16-Funeral services for Albert A. Pfuhl, aged 57, who died at his home on the Lockport Road on May 11, were held from the home on Sunday at 2 P. M. and from St. Peter's church at 2:30. The bearers were Erich J. Haseley. William DeVantier, Elmer Kroening, William Kroening, Jr., Sigmund Pfuhl, Herbert Pfuhl. Flower bearers were: Erwin Pfuhl Max Pfuhl, Max Haseley, Erwin Walck, Herbert Jagow, Herbert Ferchen, Alfred Haseley, Rudolph Walck, Chester Haseley. Service was conducted by Rev. Edward A. Walmore Farmer Called by Death
Anthony Pfuhl Lives Only Few Hours After Stroke
WALMORE. Jan.10.-Anthony Pfuhl, 54 years old, well known Walmore farmer died yesterday in the same house in which he was born on the Lockport road. Mr. Pfuhl was seized with a stroke yesterday while attending a meeting at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran church here. He was removed to his home and expired at 11 o'clock last night.
Mr. Pfuhl was a son of the late Ferdinand and Augusta (sic) Pfuhl, pioneer settlers of the Walmore district. He was a prominent member of St. Peter's church and active in Walmore village affairs.
Funeral services will be held from the family home on Sunday, January 13, at 2 o'clock, and at 2:30 from St. Peter's church. The Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.

Services for Lockport Road Resident Are Largely Attended.
SANBORN, Jan. 15.-The funeral of Anthony Pfuhl, age 54, which was held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from his home, Lockport road, and at 2:30 at St. Peter's Lutheran church, was one of the largest ever held in this section.
The bearers included Fred Walck, Adolph De Vantier (sic), Hubert Haseley, Tony Walck, Albert Haseley and Albert Pfuhl. Flower bearers included Edna Walck, Irma Walck, Mayrian (sic) Haseley, Dorothy Haseley, Irving Walck, Max Pfuhl, Philip Haseley and Norman De Vantier (sic).
Rev. Edward Graubau (sic) was assisted in the service by Rev. Alfred Walck, of St. Paul, MN Interment was in Walmore cemetery.

Mr. Beutel had been employed for the last four years as a farm hand at the Adolph Moll farm, where he made his home.
Born in the Town of Wheatfield July 5, 1901, he was the son of John and Hulda Pfohl Beutel and had been a resident of the area throughout his life. He had been employed in farm work. at various locations.
Survivors include two brothers, William and Hubert Beutel, both of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin Chaal (sic), Wilson, and Mrs. Emil Walck and Mrs. Adolph DeVantier, both of Niagara Falls.

Edwin D. Walck, 94, a longtime farmer, died Monday (Dec. 17, 2001) in CrestWood Health Care Center after a brief illness. Walck was born in Wheatfield and attended St. James School in Bergholz. Before becoming a farmer, he worked as a machinist in Niagara Falls for 14 years. Most of his working years were spent operating farms in the Town of Niagara, Pendleton and Cambria. Among cash crops he harvested were wheat, corn, oats and hay. Walck moved to the health care facility three years from his home in Cambria. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, where he served as an elder and trustee. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau and Niagara County Extension. He and his wife of 59 years, Frances Haseley Walck, enjoyed spending winters in Florida. She died in 1994. Walck also had enjoyed hunting on land he owned in northern Pennsylvania. Survivors include two sons, Donald of Pendleton and Darrell of Cambria; a daughter, Suzanne Milleville of Wheatfield; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wallace "Wally" Pfohl, 82, who operated the family farm on Lockport Road and worked on it even after his retirement, died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
Pfohl was a member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service, Niagara County Farm Bureau, and had served on the Agricultural Districting Advisory Committee. In addition, he was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as trustee and on various project committees.
He played trumpet with bands, including the Bergholz German Band, with whom he traveled with to Europe, Canada and through the U.S.
Pfohl enjoyed cars, and often was seen driving his 1948 General Motors Corporation truck around town, as well as in parades.
His wife, the former Edna Schimschack, died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Walck; a foster son, Harry Dickenson; a sister, Erna Stenzel of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

Life Resident Dies, Age 79
MIDDLEPORT - Mrs. Minnie A. Mietz, 79, of Wolcottsville, widow of Henry R. Mietz, died today (Oct. 14, 1959) at the home of her son, Lloyd Mietz, in Wolcottsville, after a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1879, in Walmore, the daughter of Herman and Minnie Haseley Hintz. She had lived in Niagara County throughout her life and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville. Her husband died in 1955. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Norman Fitch, Buffalo, Mrs. Arthur Wolters, Rochester, and Mrs . Edward Altman, Medina; two sons. Otto Mietz , Lockport, and Lloyd, Wolcottsville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, also some nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at the Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, State St. here. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, the Rev. LOCKPORT, Jan. 31—Stricken with a heart attack at her home, Crosby road, Town of Lockport, Mrs. Rose Heintz (sic) Mietz. 67, died last evening. She was a native of Sanborn and a member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran church. this city.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Halstead, Gasport: two sons, Alvin and Howard Mietz, at home; one sister, Mrs. Henry Mietz, and a brother, William Hintz, both of Wolcottsville. Last rites will be held at the Gaul Funeral home, 262 East avenue, Friday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge cemetery.

MIDDLEPORT - Mrs. Amelia (Haseley) Buehring, 84, formerly of Haseley Road, Wolcottsville died Saturday night (Feb. 19, 1966) at Mount View Hospital, Lockport, where she had been a patient for two days. She was born July 15, 1881 in the Town of Niagara, daughter of John and Fredericka Wolfe Haseley. She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville and a lifelong resident of this area. Her husband Charles F. Buehring died in 1937. Surviving are four daughters Mrs. Frank (Leona) Giertz, Lockport; Mrs. Erich J. (Irene) Haseley, Niagara Falls; Mrs, Robert (Lillian) Perry, Middleport; and Mrs. Albert (Carrie) Harvey, Lockport; 10 grandchildren, and 28 greatgrandchildren. MIDDLEPORT - Mrs. Hulda Haseley Blank, 64, of Haseley Rd., Town of Royalton. wife of William Blank, died Friday (Oct. 5. 1956) in General Hospital, Buffalo, where she had been a patient for a week. Born Oct. 23. 1892, in Niagara County, Mrs. Blank was the daughter of the late John (Frederick 9sic) Wolfe) Haseley. She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Wolcottsville and of its Ladies Aid Society. She had resided in this vicinity all her life. Mrs. Alma Becker, 72, of 1711 Pierce Ave., today was listed as in "critical" condition at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital where she was admitted Wednesday afternoon after apparently suffering a heart attack at a store at Linwood Ave. and 18th St. By coincidence, fire fighters who were called to the scene to render first aid were led by her brother, Capt. Wilbur Haseley. Oxygen was administered for 25 minutes before Mrs. Becker was sent to the hospital in a Frontier ambulance.

Firefighters To Honor Capt. Haseley
Capt. Wilbur Haseley of the Niagara Falls Fire Department will be honored by his fellow workers at a retirement dinner Thursday at the Crown and Anchor Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Capt. Haseley retired July 1 after more than 41 years with the department. Born in Sanborn in 1899, Capt. Haseley joined the fire department in 1923 and was appointed engineer in 1932. He became a captain in 1956 and has held that position since.
As a member of the department, he has served under eight fire chiefs. His first fire was in 1923 at 11th Street and Buffalo Avenue. Capt. Haseley plans to visit his daughter in New York City and travel throughout the western part of the country. He and his wife live at 2244 Linwood Ave. They have four children and seven grandchildren.

Sanborn Woman Passes in Hospital after Emergency Operation.
SANBORN, N. Y. - Mrs. Minnie Wendt, 51, of the Lockport road near Sanborn, died last night in DeGraff Memorial hospital, North Tonawanda. where she underwent an emergency operation on December 23. She was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Minnie Haseley, of the Town of Niagara, and resided in the Saunders Settlement road, to her Lockport road home ten years ago. She was a member of St. Peter's German Lutheran church, of Walmore. She is survived by four-sons, Ervin, of North Tonawanda; Relnert, of Niagara Falls, and Arthur and Herbert, of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Cvetan and Miss Minnie Wendt, of Sanborn; two brothers, Anthony and Hubert Haseley, of Niagara Palls, and five sisters, Mrs. Fred Fahrnwald, Mrs. Philip Fahrnwald and Mrs. Albert Kroening, of Sanborn, and Mrs. Carl Mllleville and Mrs. Edwin DeVantier, of Niagara Falls. Born in the Town of Niagara, July 13, 1901, She was a daughter of Ferdinand and Wilhelmina Haseley and had lived in this area, all her life.
She was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a member of the Women of the Church organization.
Mrs. Kroening was the widow of Albert E. Kroening Sr., well known area farmer who died in 1965.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence, Edgar and Albert Kroening Jr., all of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Philip (Emma) Fahrnwald, Sanborn, Mrs. Edwin (Lily) DeVantier, and Mrs. Carl (Viola) Milleville, both of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Anthony Haseley, Lockport, and Hubert Haseley, Niagara Falls, and eight grandchildren.

Viola L. Milleville, 92, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 1999) in Schoellkopf Health Center, Niagara Falls, after a brief illness. She had been a patient there for the past few months.
Born Viola Haseley in the Town of Niagara, she worked for a few years at the Nabisco Shredded Wheat plant in Niagara Falls as a biscuit packer before marrying Carl J. Milleville on Oct. 16, 1927.
They operated a dairy farm, which is still run today by their son and grandsons. Her husband died in 1974.
Mrs. Milleville was a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens and loved to crochet, make quilts and travel.
Survivors include her son, Wilbert; three daughters Elva Walck, Jean St. John and Lois Bush, all of Sanborn; 16 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery

Mr. Haseley was the son of Wilhelmina and the late Karl E. Haseley and was born in the homestead, in (sic) Lockport and Haseley roads, and had lived in the present home since 1919. The funeral services were held at the home today at 2 p.m. and at 3 o'clock in Trinity Lutheran church in Lockport, N. Y. The Rev. Herman Meier officiated. Interment was in Walmore cemetery in Walmore road.

Louis F. Haseley, who would have celebrated his 86th birthday July 30, died yesterday in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Mr Haseley lived at 419H Lockport Road. He was a long-time Niagara County resident. Mr and Mrs Haseley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 19B7, the same year in which he became 80 years old. His birthday then was an occasion for a family reunion, with four of their six children returning from abroad and various parts of the country for the celebration. In addition to his wife, Mr Haseley is survived by two sons, Gordon Haseley of Pendleton and the Rev. Louis C Haseley of Valley Stream, L.I.; and four daughters, Lydia Haseley of Lockport, Mrs. Ihsan Hijazi of Beirut, Lebanon; Mabel Haseley of Chicago, and Mrs Wayne Berger of Kansas City, Mo He was the brother of Erie J Haseley of the Town of Niagara and Mrs Hugo Walck of the Town of Wheatfield Sixteen grandchildren also survive. Ex-Garage Owner Dies
SANBORN-Noah A. Haseley, 69, of Lockport Rd., a retired mechanic, died today (March 14, 1960) at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, after a lengthy illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, March 19, 1960, Mr. Haseley was a son of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Pfohl Haseley. He was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and attended Cornell University. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Mr. Haseley owned and operated a garage in Detroit for 35 years, retiring about eight years ago and returning to this area to make his home with his brother, Eric (sic) Haseley.
Surviving are two other brothers, Louis Haseley, Shawnee, and Carl F. Haseley, Niagara Falls, and a sister, Mrs. Hugo A. Walck, Sanborn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Donald Rehkopf. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

TOWN OF NIAGARA Erich J. Haseley. 86, of 8515 Lockport Road died Saturday (Oct. 28. 1978) in Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, where he had operated a farm at Lockport and Packard roads, he was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a former trustee and chairman of the congregation. He had served as chairman of the building committee of St. Peter's Lutheran School and was a charter member of Niagara No. 1,Volunteer Fire Co. He was also a former Town of Niagara Justice of the Peace and had served as town supervisor.
Surviving are his wife. Irene; a son, LaVern Haseley; a daughter, Mrs. William Gladys Schildhauer, both of the Town of Niagara; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Florence Haseley. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenburg Officiating.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

Carl F. Haseley, 68, of 501 B St., Sunny Acres, died Friday (Sept. 22, 1972) in Memorial Medical Center where he had been a patient for six weeks.
He was born in the Town of Niagara and retired in 1969 from the Penn Central Railroad where he had been an engineer for 35 years.
Mr. Haseley was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

PICKS UP LIVE WIRE AND MEETS INSTANT DEATH
Tuscarora Road Man Electrocuted by 2,200 volt Charge on Lawn of Home
Albert W. Devantier, 52 years old, of the Tuscarora road, R. F. D. Route No. I, was electrocuted this morning at 10:25 o'clock when he picked up a wire carrying 2,200 volts of electricity which had fallen across the lawn of his home. Falls firemen answered a call to the Deventier (sic) home to render first aid with the fire department inhalator but First Assistant Fire Chief Peter P. McGraw and Firemen Elmer Tevins and John Eagan reported that Devantier was dead when they reached the scene. Firemen said that the Niagara Falls Power company was installing some wires along the road near the Devantier home and that when one of the wires fell across Deventier's property he picked it up, not realizing that it was charged, and was instantly killed.

Adolph DeVantier, 87, of 9811 Lockport Road, died today (June 24, 1977) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, he was a blacksmith throughout Western New York for over 60 years, prior to retiring in 1965.
He had served as the Town of Niagara Justice of the Peace and as a trustee of the Niagara District No. 2 School. He was an exempt member of the Niagara Fire Co. No.1 and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He had celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary April 22, 1977.

Edna A. Haseley, the longtime owner of a family farm on Saunders Settlement Road, died Thursday (Aug. 22, 2002) in CrestWood Health Care Center, Wheatfield. She was 95.
The former Edna Kroening was born in the Town of Lewiston in 1906. She married Erwin Haseley in 1932. Together, they worked on the family farm until his death in 1962.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she had been active in its Ladies Aid Society and worked on church dinners. She also was a member of the Sanbornites Senior Citizens Group and enjoyed quilting and crafts.
Mrs. Haseley is survived by a son, Ernest of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Ruth Grose of Daphine, Ala., and Gretchen Plough of Jefferson City, TN.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6169 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery

Born in the Town of Niagara, he was the son of the late Carl and Anna Pfohl Kroening. He was a retired farmer. A lifelong resident of Sanborn, she was a longtime member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore and a member of the American Lutheran Church Woman of St. Peter's. She was predeceased by her husband Philip W. Kroening, who died in 1972.

He had a serious attack in the spring but had seemingly recovered and had returned to his work in July. Funeral services were held in Trinity church, Loyal, on Nov. 6, and burial services were conducted from Immanuel church, Cedarburg, WI., on Nov. 7. Pastor Pfohl was born in Walmore, NY.., on March 24, 1904. He received his education at Martin Luther Seminary, Buffalo, Erie County, NY.., and was ordained on June 24, 1928. He was employed at Carborundum Co. in the abrasive department as a stock handler for more than 40 years and also had worked on the family farm on Walmore Road for many years.
Mr. Pfohl was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, where he had served as Elder and a member of the church choir for more than 50 years.
He was a past commander of Post 969, American Legion, Sanborn, and exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company; a member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club; and the Carborundum Alumni Association.
“Uncle Louie,” as he was affectionately referred to by many in the Sanborn area enjoyed collecting black walnuts, cracking them and giving them to friends.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing baseball in his early years and watching in his later years.
He is survived by three sisters, Verone Haseley, Lizzie Haseley and Eleonore Craft all of Sanborn; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late Minnie Kroening, Martha Haseley, Sigmond (sic) Pfohl, the Rev. John Pfohl and Max Pfohl.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6:30 - 9:30 today at the Rhooney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, where the Sanborn Fire Company will conduct a memorial service at 9:30 p.m. The rev. Bruce M. Lizzie Dorothea Pfohl was born in the Town of Lewiston on September 23, 1915, to Johannes and Eleonore [ Fahrenwald ] Pfohl.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, NY. Lizzie was baptized on October 3, 1915 and confirmed on Apr 21, 1929.
On January 12, 1939 Lizzie & Marcus Albert Haseley were united in marriage. They were blessed with three children: Ronald M., Frederick W., and Mark J.
She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years.
Lizzie was active in the church choir for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and other Circles within the church, visiting and sending cards to the sick and shut-ins, and making quilts for Lutheran World Relief.
On Saturday, November 8, 2008, while a resident of Fairchild Manor, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY, Lizzie was called to be with her Lord. She was 93 years old.

Mrs. Eleonore E. Craft, 84 of Sanborn, NY, died Tuesday July 3, 2007, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Sanborn on January 17, 1923, the daughter of John and Eleonore [ Fahrnwald ] Pfohl. She attended LaSalle High School and Trott Vocational School. Eleonore was a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Walmore, in Sanborn, NY.
She had worked for the Jonas and Martha Haseley Muck farm for several years and for Moore Business Forms, for many years. She married Gilbert Goeseke, on July 22, 1950, and they moved to Newstead, NY, where she was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Gilbert predeceased her on December 15, 1961.
She was married to Edwin Werth, on June 15, 1966, when they returned to the Sanborn area, he died on November 15, 1971. On September 16, 1978 Eleonore married Raymond Craft and they were married for six years, prior to his death on August 9, 1984.
Survivors include a son, Russell [ Barbara ] Goeseke of Town of Wheatfield, stepsons, Ronald [ Marlene ] Craft, Galen [ Nancy ] Craft, step daughter-in-law Dolores Werth, a granddaughter, Melissa Goeseke, step grandchildren Michael Werth, Cheryl Werth, Jeffery Craft, Mark Sydor, Robin Sydor, Scott Sydor, 4 step great grandchildren, a sister, Lizzie [ Marcus ] Haseley, of Sanborn, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the step mother of the late Robert Werth, and sister of the late Minnie Kroening, Martha Haseley, Verone Haseley, Sigmund Pfohl, Rev. John Pfohl, Louis A. Pfohl and Max Pfohl.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache, officiating. Sanborn native was former church elder
SANBORN - Martin F. Pfohl, _ 88, of Saunders Settlement Road died Wednesday (Dec. 30, 1992) at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
The native of Sanborn was born on Feb. 20, 1904, to Albert and Ida (Haseley) Pfohl. He worked at the former Dobbie Foundry in Niagara Falls for 43 years. He retired in 1966.
Pfohl was a member of St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, where he was once an elder of the church. On Feb. 9, 1992 he and his wife, Viola E. Walck Pfohl of Fairchild Manor, Lewiston celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. In Wheatfield, Mrs. Wienke was, active in the Women of the Church. She was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and did volunteer work at local nursing homes.
She enjoyed family life.
Mrs. Wienke is survived by two sons, Leonard Wienke of Sanborn and Wilfred Wienke of Morgantown, W.Va.; a daughter, Edele Wurl of Sanborn, seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
She was the sister of the late Albert Pfuhl and Martin Pfuhl.

WHEATFIELD - Albert N. Pfuhl 68, of 2134 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1975) In Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and had been employed as a production worker at the Carborundum Co. He had worked for many years on a farm.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Jagow) Pfuhl; a son, Herbert Pfuhl of Webster, N.Y.; a brother, Martin Pfohl of Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Edna) Wienke of Sanborn; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Clifford Pfuhl.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's E. V. (sic) Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harold L. Baum will officiate. Burial will be In St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

WHEATFIELD - Agnes V. Walck, of Wheatfield, died Friday in Elderwood Health Care Center at CrestWood. She was 95.
Born Agnes Pfohl in the Town of Wheatfield, she attended local schools. She was a devoted homemaker and a lifelong, active member of St. Peter's Evangelical
Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Women of the Church.
She also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and enjoyed many trips with the group.
Her husband of 52 years, Theodore J., died in 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Hildebrandt of Sanborn; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 A.M. today in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY, on April 16, 1914, the son of Anton and Elsie [ Haseley ] Pfohl, where he attended local schools. Hubert worked most of his life as a farmer, he had also been employed for 16 years, for the New York State Highway Department.
He was a life long member of St. Peter Evangelical Church, Walmore, NY, where he had served as an elder and trustee. He was married in St. Peter's Church on October 30, 1938, to the former Norma A. Walck.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father, especially to his daughter Karen, who predeceased him.
Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Norma, two daughters, Beverly [ Charles ] Pendergast; Janet [ David ] Tober, both of Sanborn, NY; a sister, Agnes Walck, of Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; five grandchildren, Kristen [ Marty ] Kenny; Mark [ Nancy ] Miller; Rachel [ Daryl ] Haseley; Beth [ Steve ] Guidetti; Michael [ fiancé Lisa Rynn ] Tober; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

WHEATFIELD - Erwin G. Pfohl, 75, of Lockport Road, died Dec. 15, 1993, in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
Pfohl was born in Wheatfield on Nov. 12, 1918, the son of Anthony and Elsie (Haseley) Pfohl, and was a lifelong Wheatfield resident. In 1948, he and Clarence Kroening formed a partnership to operate the Sanborn Milling Co. Inc. He later bought Kroening's share. and continued to operate the business for another 15 years until his retirement in 1983.
Pfohl was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, where he held various positions over the years. He. was an exempt member of. the Sanborn Fire Co. and the Sanborn Lions Club, and a former member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor H. Devantier) Pfohl; a daughter, Ann Kroening of Sanborn; a son, Eugene Pfohl of Sanborn; a brother, Hubert Pfohl of Sanborn; a sister, Agnes Walck of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the DuBois Funeral Home, Bergholz, and St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
