    WILLIAM A. WALCK
    SANBORN - William A. Walck, 81, of Saunders Settlement Road, was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday (March 20, 1974) at Memorial Medical Center after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. He was a native of the Town of Wheatfield and had operated a farm in Saunders Settlement Road for most of his life. He was a life member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, where he had held various positions. He was also on active member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau and its Extension Service. He was predeceased by his wife, Selma, who died in 1968. Survivors include a son, Edgar; two daughters, Mrs. William (Ira sic)) Haseley and Mrs. Ralph (Gladys) DeVantier, all of this community; two brothers, Rudolph and Hubert Walck, both of Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. John (Agnes) DeVantier of Niagara Falls, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Baum officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Contributions to the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church fund will be acceptable as tribute, the family said.

    Mrs. Haseley, a native of Wheatfield, was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wheatfield.
    Survivors include her husband, William A.; a daughter, Iris; a son, Gary of the Town of Niagara; a sister, Gladys DeVantier; a brother, Edgar Walck, and a grandson.
    Services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in St. Peter's Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

    Edgar William Walck, age 94, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully into the presence of the Lord, at his daughters home in Florida on December 6, 2016. Born in the Town of Wheatfield on November 28, 1922, he was the son of the late William and Selma Walck. He was a member of the First Assembly of God, in Niagara Falls, where he served on the church board and building committee. Edgar played the tuba in both the Bergholz and Sanborn Fire Company's bands, and the church orchestra for many years. He was devoted to serving the Lord, owned and operated a dairy farm in Sanborn, was an avid hunter, farmer, gardener, drove truck until he was 86, and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Elva Rose (Milleville) Walck; children, Mark (Janice) Walck of Sanborn, Carl Walck of Scio, Laurie Walck of Sanborn, Brent Walck of North Tonawanda, Kelly Walck of Amherst and Gail (Tim) Johnston of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Tara Walck-Henry, Shanna Hackett, Christa Eodice, Carl Walck, Jr. and Hannah Johnston; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Evan and Brody Eodice, Luke and Ellis Henry, Cooper and Landon Hackett; and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by two sisters, Irma Haseley and Gladys DeVantier. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (December 9th) from 4-8 PM. Services will be conducted on Saturday (December 10th) at 11:00 AM in First Assembly of God, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.     WHEATFIELD - Gladys M. (Walck) DeVantier, 62, of Lockport Road,. died Wednesday (June 24, 1998) m Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
    She was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Wheatfield, the daughter of William and Selma (Walck) Walck.
    She had lived in the Sanborn area her entire life, attending local schools and graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1954. Mrs. DeVantier worked for the former Kimberly-Clark Corp. from 1954 to 1958, and later was a courier for the MDS Lab for six years.
    She married Ralph DeVantier on Nov. 3, 1956. She worked at his construction company as a bookkeeper and secretary for 37 years.
    She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Lewiston, and the Wheatfield Jaycees. She also had been active with the Niagara County 4H Program for many years.
    Mrs. DeVantier enjoyed gardening, bowling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Retzlaff of Sanborn and Amy Bessel of Niagara Falls; three sons, Duane DeVantier of North Tonawanda, Kent DeVantier of Cleveland and Bruce DeVantier of Lewiston; one brother, Edgar Walck of Sanborn; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was the sister of the late Irma Haseley.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. The Rev. Milan J. Slahor will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Oneida Street, Lewiston. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst.
    Memorial contributions may he made to the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston, N.Y. 14092; or to the Niagara Dialysis Clinic, 3018 Military Road, Niagara Falls, N.Y. 14304.

    Gladys M. DeVantier, 62, of Lockport Road, a native of Wheatfield and lifelong resident of the Sanborn area, died Wednesday (June 24, 1998) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
    The former Gladys M. Walck was a 1954 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Mrs. DeVantier worked at the former Kimberly-Clark plant in Niagara Falls from 1954 to 1958 and she was a courier for the MDS Laboratory for six years.

    Mark E. Walck of Sanborn, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Buffalo General Hospital.   He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 29, 1952, the son of Elva [Milleville] Walck and the late Edgar Walck.
    Mark graduated from Niagara Wheatfield.   He was a dairy farmer for many years and worked at Occidental Chemical before becoming a tractor trailer driver with Yellow Freight for the past 10 years.
    He was an active member of The Chapel at Crosspoint, serving as a usher and greeter.
    Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and being out doors.
    In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 45 years Janice [Ingraham] Walck, two daughters Tara (Sekou) Walck-Henry and Shanna (Ronald) Hackett, four grandchildren Luke, Ellis, Landon and Cooper, two brothers Carl and Brent (Laurie) Walck, one sister Gail (Timothy) Johnston,  his closest friend Richard J. Miller, also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
    His family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at The Chapel, CrossPoint Campus  500 Crosspoint Pkwy, Getzville, NY.
    Memorials may be made in his name to The Chapel.  
    Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
