    Rev. Edward Graubau will officiate.
    Interment will be In Walmore cemetery.

    A Wheatfield native, she lived in the town all her life.
    She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Walmore Road.
    She was the wife of Arthur Retzlaff, who died in 1981, and sister of the late Henry Pfohl.
    Mrs. Retzlaff is survived by a daughter, Alice Walck of the Town of Lewiston; sons, Willis S. Retzlaff and Kenneth A. Retzlaff, both of Wheatfield; a sister, Ella Mueller; a brother, Adolph Pfohl both of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Stephen P. Roehrs. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.     SANBORN, - Adolph Pfohl, 76, of Lockport Road, died Monday (July 31,1989) at his home.
    Born in Wheatfield, he operated a farm on Lockport Road. He was a lifelong member of SI. Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau and a director of the Milk Cooperative for more than 10 years.
    Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Sciuk Himmelback Pfohl; a son; Calvin Pfohl; daughters, Marjorie Miller and Audrey Johnson, ail of Sanborn; a stepson, Laurence Himmelback of Ransomville; a stepdaughter, Jean Walck of the Town of Lewiston; a sister, Ella Mueller of Wheatfield; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, He was the husband of the late Margaret Warblow Pfohl and the brother of the late Henry Pfohl and Lily Retzlaff.

    WHEATFIELD - Alice B. (Retzlaff) Walck, age 87, of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to her heavenly home, to be with her Lord and Savior on October 16, 2012 at her residence. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on July 22, 2012, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lily (Pfuhl) Retzlaff. Alice attended St. Peter's Lutheran School in Walmore and was a 1943 graduate of LaSalle High School. She was employed at the former Bell Aircraft and later at the Carborundum Company - Bonded Abrasives division in Niagara Falls, until her retirement in 1983. Alice was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, where she was with the St. Peter's Quilters. She was also a member of the Ransomville Seniors and enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling. Survivors include her brother, Kenneth (Dianne) Retzlaff of Wheatfield; sister-in-law, Lois Retzlaff; eight nieces and nephews, Debra (Ted) Sheehan, Brian (Sandra) Retzlaff, Gary Retzlaff, Randy Retzlaff, Sandra (Steven) Lang, Carol (Leonard) Binns, David (Allison) Retzlaff and Dale (Lisa) Retzlaff; twenty great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Walck, on December 1, 1994. They were united in marriage on February 5, 1972. Also predeceased by a brother, Willis Retzlaff.     WHEATFIELD - Willis S. Retzlaff, who served as town assessor for 27 years and was active in community and church affairs, died of a heart attack Saturday in his home. He was 78.
    Mr. Retzlaff was born in Wheatfield and attended local schools. He served in the Air Force and was a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion.
    He was a lifelong farmer and a skilled carpenter who built several homes in the area.
    He was town assessor from 1972 to 1999 and the following year was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals. He had been president of the Niagara County Assessors Association and an officer of the New York State Assessors Association.
    Mr. Retzlaff was an active member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as president, elder and financial secretary. At the time of his death, he was chairman of the cemetery committee.
    He was a charter member and past president of the Wheatfield Lions Club and was serving as treasurer at the time of his death.
    He was named Lion of the Year in 1991 and won two other Lions awards: the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 1994 and the Robert Uplinger Distinguished Service Award in 1998.
    He was a charter member of the Wheatfield Republican Club; member and past president of the Wheatfield Business Association; treasurer of the Wheatfield Family Picnic Committee; a former member of the Bergholz German Band; a member of the town Historical Society; and a volunteer for Kids Voting.
    He enjoyed gardening.
    Survivors include his wife of 53 years, the former Lois Hassan; a daughter, Debra Sheehan of Bergholz; a son, Randall of Wheatfield; a sister, Alice Walck of Sanborn; a brother, Kenneth of Wheatfield; and six grandchildren-.
    Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Willis Sherman Retzlaff

    Willis Sherman Retzlaff was born on June 7,1927 to Arthur and Lily (Pfuhl) Retzlaff. He was baptized on June 19, 1927 and confirmed on April 14, 1940. Willis was united in marriage to Lois Hassan on September 8, 1951. They were blessed with two children, Debra and Randall.
    Willis was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where he served as President of the Congregation, financial secretary, Elder and presently as Chairman of the Cemetery Committee.
    Willis farmed for many years then went into carpentry and built many homes in the area. He was elected Assessor for the Town of Wheatfield and served in that capacity for 27 years, retiring in 1999.
    He was a charter member, past President and currently served as Treasurer of the Wheatfield Lions Club. He was named Lion of the year in 1991, received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 1994 and the Robert Uplinger Distinguished Service Award in 1998. He was a charter member of the Wheatfield Republican Club, member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens, member and past President of the Wheatfield Business Association and treasurer of the Wheatfield Family Picnic Committee, a former member of the Bergholz Band, member of the Historical Society, was a volunteer for Kids Voting each year, was a former President of Niagara County Assessor's Association, a former officer of the New York State Assessor's Association, served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the American Legion-Wheatfield Post 1451, member of the Wheatfield Zoning Board of Appeals.
    Willis enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and helping anyone in need.
    On Saturday, August 20, 2005, at home, unexpectedly Willis was called to be with His Lord.
    He is survived by his wife, Lois, daughter, Debra (Theodore) Sheehan, son, Randall; grandchildren, Theodore (Holly) Sheehan Ill, Becky, Tim and Tom Sheehan, Amanda and Scott Retzlaff; a sister, Alice Walck, a brother, Kenneth (Dianne) Retzlaff; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Edwin) Scherrer, Betty Lou (George) Lozina and Sally Archer and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 8, 1936, son of the late Arthur and Lilly (Pfuhl) Retzlaff. He was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn. Ken graduated from Trott Vocational High School. He married Dianne Blank on May 17, 1957, and they enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. Ken was a farmer all his life, a member of the Wheatfield Zoning Board, then elected eight terms as a Wheatfield Town Councilman, serving for 32 years, and as Deputy Supervisor. He was a member of the Wheatfield Republican Club, was a trustee at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and a member of the building committee of the new addition of the church. Ken enjoyed golfing, hunting, and spending time at the cabin.Survivors include his loving wife; six children, Brian (Sandra) Retzlaff, Gary Retzlaff, Sandra (Steven) Lange, Carol (Leonard) Binns, David (Allison) Retzlaff, Dale (Lisa) Retzlaff; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice (Leonard) Walck, brother, Willis (Lois) Retzlaff, and brother-in-law, Darrell (Nancy) Blank. Friends may call on Saturday (Nov. 28) from 9-11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, officiating.     Audrey Margaret Johnson, age 71 of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called to her heavenly home, unexpectedly at her residence, on June 8, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 26,1950; daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret (Warblow) Pfohl. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, where over the years,she held various positions at the church, loved volunteering at the school, and was also the treasurer for the church and school. Audrey enjoyed crocheting, playing games on Kindle, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and loved her two cats.Survivors include her daughter, Kylene (Dave) Hershberger; three grandchildren, Kierstyn, Michael and Brian; and a brother, Calvin (Patricia) Pfohl; many nieces and nephews, including Sherry (Kevin) DeVantier, Cindy (Niel) DeVantier, Diana (Bill) Sacher, Daniel Pfohl; and great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Ann Miller.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday (June 12) from 4-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Kaminska, on Monday (June 13) at 4:00 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment will take place in the church cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School. The family request for those attending, to wear bright colored clothing, in recognition of the celebration of Audrey's life.

Lutheran Church, Sanborn, she attended St. Peter's Lutheran School, and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. Marjorie was employed as an insurance agent, with Stevens Insurance Agency, until her retirement. She enjoyed the special times spent with her family, and her dog Bailey.Preceded in death by her husband, Norman C.
