Walck, 3 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Wendt of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Walter (Martha) Winnes, Chambersburg, Pa., Amanda Walck, Sioux City, Iowa, one son, the Rev. Alfred Walck Jr., Madang, Territory of New Guinea, 3 sisters, Mrs. Thekla DeVantier, and the Misses Elsie and Helen Mlllevllle, all of Niagara Falls. 3 brothers Carl Mlllevllle of Niagara Falls, Rev. Edgar Mlllevllle, of Ceaderburg, WI, and Martin Mlllevllle of Lewiston, N. Y., also survived by 11 grandchildren. Friends may call at

    BERGHOLTZ, Dec. 27 —Word
    has been received here of the death
    of Miss Gertrude Walck on Christmas
    eve in Strong Memorial hospital.
    Rochester. Miss Walck is the
    daughter of the Rev, and Mrs. Alfred
    W. Walck of Webster, and was
    a frequent visitor with relatives in
    this community, where she was well
    known.
    Miss Walck spent most of her
    life in St. Paul, Minn., where her
    father served, as pastor of Grace
    Lutheran church for over 30 years.
    She is a graduate of St. Paul Luthern
    college and attended thc Lutheran
    Bible institute in Minneapolis. She
    was a parish worker in the American
    Lutheran church in Waseca,
    Minn, for several years, after which
    she accepted the position of Dean
    of Women at the Augustana Academy.
    Sioux Falls, S. D. Ill health
    forced her to resign this position
    two years ago when she came to
    live with her parents in Webster,
    where her father is now serving as
    pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran
    church.
    Miss Walck was an accomplished
    musician. At the age of 14 years
    she was serving as organist in Grace
    Lutheran church St. Paul, and later
    as choir director. She taught piano
    and pipe organ, and recently wrote
    words and music for a selection
    which will be played at her funeral.
    In addition to her parents, Miss
    Walck is survived by one brother,
    the Rev. Alfred Walck, Jr., of the
    Lutheran Mission in New Guinea;
    three sistcn, Mrs. Walter Winness,
    Fremont, O., Miss Amanda Walck,
    Toledo, O.; and Mrs. Donald Wendt.
    Sanborn.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    from the home of William Walck,
    Lockport road at 1 p.m. tomorrow,
    and at St. Peter's Lutheran church,
    Walmore, at 2 p.m. Burial will be on
    St. Peter's cemetery.

    Pastor's notes - (not a member here) Born at Columbia (near Unionsville, Michigan). Daughter of Pastor Alfred Walck and Amanda née Milleville. In 1916, moved to St. Paul, was confirmed there in Grace Lutheran Church. Had unusual musical ability; organist for about 14 years, always ready to serve in church. Studied at Luther College in St. Paul and Bible Institute in Minneapolis. In Welfare in Toledo, religion. bookstore in Fargo, ND, Dean of Women at Augustana Acad., Canton SD. Ill health, to Walmore, NY Dec 1949. Sept '50, brain tumor, much improved then relapse. To hospital Dec 22, 1951, died Dec 24 around 11:40. Buried Dec 28 '51 in our cemetery here. Rev. Ed. A Grabau, preached in church, Rev. Pempeit, liturgist. A hymn (words and music by the deceased) was read and sung at the service. Survivors: the parents, 3 sisters (Mrs. W. Winnes, Amanda, Mrs. Don Wendt), 1 brother (Rev. A. Walck, Jr. Missionary to New Guinea)

    Amanda Margaret Walck, age 97, formerly of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home in Iowa, on December 23, 2014. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 5, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Pastor Alfred and Amanda (Milleville) Walck.

    In addition to several secretarial positions, Amanda served as Parish Worker in Waterloo, IA, Fremont and Columbus, OH, Sioux City, IA and Morris, IL. She served on many committees and boards. In 1979 she retired and moved to Sanborn, NY, the area where her parents and many relatives were born. Down through the years and at St. Peter's Lutheran, in Walmore, she was involved in teaching Sunday School, circles and Bible studies. Her recent activity was with the Seniors at St. Peter's, where she taught Sunday School until she was 91 years of age. She also sang in choirs and groups through the years, and enjoyed making banners for churches.

    She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Gertrude, Martha Winnes and Dorothy Wendt. She is survived by her brother, Alfred (Marion) Walck.

    Friends are invited to attend a memorial service conducted by the Rev. Bruce Gamache', at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road in Wheatfield, on Saturday - January 3 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Local arrangements are with the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234).

    SANBORN - Dorothy H. Wendt of Sanborn died Friday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. She was 75.
    Born Dorothy Walck in St. Paul, MN., she graduated from Minnehaha Christian Academy in Minneapolis in 1948. She moved to Niagara Falls the next year and worked for Republic Light and Power Co.
    She married her husband, Donald, in late 1951 and, together, they founded and operated Wendt's Propane Gas Co. from 1952 to 1966.
    Dorothy also worked at the Beacon Christian Book Store from 1972 to 1978 and 1984 to 1993.
    Mrs. Wendt was a counselor and prayer partner for the Christian Broadcasting Network's 700 Club for several years in the 1980s, and she and her husband had a satellite branch of the 700 Club in a warehouse on Lockport Road property where they lived for 35 years.
    Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, the Rev. Gary of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Douglas of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a daughter, Susan of Sanborn; two sisters, Martha Winnes of Minneapolis and Amanda Walck of Sanborn; a brother, the Rev. Alfred Walck of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday in First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd.
