Clarence A. "Squeaky" Kroening, age 82, of Sanborn, NY, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 31st, 2007 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. He was born in Town of Wheatfield, on February 26, 1925, to the late Albert E. and Lizzie (Haseley) Kroening. He married his wife, the former Phyllis Walck, on September 7, 1946. Clarence owned the former Sanborn Milling Company, with his partner Erwin Pfohl for 30 years, and later worked for the Niagara County Highway Department as a parts man and truck driver. He served on the Town of Wheatfield Planning Board for 25 years. Clarence also served as treasurer of the former Bergholz Insurance Company. He was a life member of the St. Peters Lutheran Church, where he held various offices. He was very active in the Lutheran Vespers radio program. He was a past secretary of Lutheran Charities where he received the Ralph W. Loew a Award for recognition of service in social ministries of Western New York. For many years he and his wife rented a large truck and filled it with quilts, used clothing, soap and various hats, over 20,000 quilts, 49 tons of material collected from various Lutheran Church's of WNY and delivered them to the Lutheran World Relief Warehouse in Maryland. He was still involved with this project this past year. In 2004 he received a certificate of appreciation from the Thrivent for Lutherans for his dedication service to his Lord through his work with Lutheran World Relief. Clarence was a past president and life member of the Sanborn Lions Club. He was also a 58 year member of the Sanborn Fire Company and its exempts. He was a Charter Member of the TriCommunity Ambulance Service, where he volunteered as a driver, in the late 50's and early 60's. He enjoyed being with his family very much. His hobbies were fishing and traveling. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis; three daughters, Linda (John) Pluff of New Jersey, Cheryl (James) Kluss of Sanborn, Sandra (Gary) Iulg of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Tanya (Ryan) Nakai, Todd Kluss, Nicole Pluff, Timothy (Nancy) Iulg, Dawn Iulg; two great grandchildren, Lindsay Ryan Nakai and Drew Tyler Nakai; sisters-in-law, Jane Kroening, Ann Kroening; brother-in-law, Arnold (Mae) Behrens; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Arnold Kroening, Edgar D. Kroening and Albert A. Kroening. The family will be present on Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM and Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church - Walmore, Sanborn, NY at 11 AM on Friday, January 4th, with Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. Young Boy Dies
SANBORN, Aug. 1.-Arnold Kroening, 2 1/2 -year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kroening, of Lockport road, died here yesterday, following an illness of a week. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from St. Peter's church in Walmore. Burial will be in Walmore cemetery.

WHEATFIELD-Edgar Kroening, who was active in various Niagara County and Wheatfield groups and boards. died Friday July I. 1994) at his residence. He was 61.
Mr. Kroening, of Lockport Road. was a member of the Wheatfield Town Board, Wheatfield Zoning Board of Appeals and the Starpoint School Board. among other activities. Town of Wheatfield Supervisor Terry Kuehn called Mr. Kroening's death "a great loss" to both the town and its residents.
ÒI found it was a pleasure to work with him,Ó Kuehn said. ÒI always found him to be an honest and sincere person. He always put the people first in the town when making his decisions. He'll be a great loss to the people of Wheatfield and the town government. Mr. Kroening was born May 2, 1933, in Wheatfield, the son of Albert and Elizabeth (Haseley) Kroening.
He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and a dairy farmer.
Among his other activities: He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn; exempt member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co.; elder and trustee of St. Peter's Lutheran Church; former Wheatfield dog warden; former member of the board of directors of the Niagara County Milk Co-op; Wheatfield Republican Committeeman; and a former member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation County & Town Group. Mr. Kroening is survived by his wife, Jane M. (Wendt) Kroening of Wheatfield; a daughter, Brenda Kline of Sanborn; two sons, Gerald Kroening and Mark Kroening, both of Sanborn; two brothers, Clarence Kroening and Albert "Jr." Kroening, both of Sanborn; six grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Arnold Kroening,
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz, Wheatfield. The Rev. Allen Griep will conduct services at II a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wheatfield. Services for Edgar Kroening, a former Wheatfield councilman and Starpoint School Board member, will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Kroening, 61, died Friday (July 1, 1994) at his home on Lockport Road after a long illness.
The dairy farmer and lifelong Wheatfield resident currently was a member of the town's Zoning Board of Appeals.
He previously served a year as a councilman and one term on the School Board.
He also served as the town's dog warden, a member of the board of directors for the Niagara County Milk Cooperative, a Republican town committeeman, a committeeman of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation System for the county and town, and an elder and trustee at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
He was an exempt member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company.
Survivors include his wife, Jane M.; a daughter, Brenda Kline; two sons, Gerald and Mark; two brothers, Clarence and Albert Jr.; and six grandchildren.

Sanborn - Albert A. “Junior” Kroening, 62, of Lockport Road, died Wednesday (Aug 2, 2000) in Roswell Park after a brief illness.
He was born Dec 27, 1937, in Wheatfield, the son of the late Albert Sr. and Lizzy Kroening.
On Nov 22, 1962, he married Ann E. Pfohl.
Mr. Kroening was co-owner of the Sanborn Milling County, and also operated his family farm in Wheatfield.
He was a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau, Brauers Euchre Club, New York State Wildlife and Fish Advisory Board and was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire County, where he served as a past director.
He was also a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, where he held a number of various positions including elder, trustee and financial officer.
Mr. Kroening was an avid hunter.

Born in Wheatfield in 1937, Kroening married Ann E. Pfohl in 1962.
A hunter, he was a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau, the State Wildlife and Fish Advisory Board and Sanborn Fire Company. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where he held several positions over the years, including elder and trustee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lynn Hebeler of Wheatfield; a son, Lee of Cambria; a brother, Clarence of Wheatfield; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. Peter's Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mark Donald Kroening, age 44, went to his heavenly home on Thursday December 6, 2007, in Roswell Park Institute after a brief illness. He was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, on March 11, 1963, the son of Jane (Wendt) Kroening and the late Edgar Kroening. Mark grew up on the family farm in the Town of Wheatfield and had been employed by the United Parcel Service for the last 20 years. Mark was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish with his sons in the great outdoors. He also took a special interest in basketball, baseball and bowling. He had participated in athletics throughout his life as both a player and coach. He was the Niagara-Orleans leading point scorer for the 1980-81 basketball season. Mark was an active and contributing member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Sanborn, New York, where he attended school through 8th grade. Mark was a 1981 graduate of Starpoint High School. Upon graduation he worked at Voss Tool while he helped to run the family farm. Mark will be remembered for his strong commitment to his family and church, and he was best known for his happy personality and special ability to get those around him to laugh. Surviving in addition to his mother is his beloved wife of 20 years, the former Darla Walck; three sons Tyler, Matthew, and Brock, sister Brenda (Rick) Kline, and brother Gerald (Linda) Kroening; mother and father-in-law Gilbert and Carol Walck; brothers-in-law, Randy Walck (Amy), and Gary Walck; nieces and nephews, Heather (Bob) Tubbs, Jamie (Todd) Conklin, Jason, Lindsay Kroening, Sara, Katie and Luke Walck along with several aunts, uncles and numerous extended family and friends.
