    NORTH TONAWANDA - One man was killed and two others seriously
    injured shortly, after 2 o'clock this morning: when the automobile
    in which they were riding left the Ward road near the Ruie road and crashed into two trees, hurling the occupants of the car onto the pavement. Police were notified by nearby residents and when they arrived on the scene they found Walter Allard, 20, of 90 Allen street, dead and Bronislaus Gawrys, 23, of 197 Seventeenth avenue, and Stanley Golediewski, 22, of 111 Sixth avenue, unconscious on the highway. The police also reported that they found Frank Krzystek, 27, of 284 Thirteenth street, Niagara Falls, stranded with his car among the wreckage. They said that the Niagara Falls man was going north in the Ward, road near the scene and crashed into the wreckage. He was arrested and locked up on a charge of public intoxication. Coroner J. E. Helwlg was notified and had the body of Allard removed to the Wattengel funeral home, in Oliver street. Gawrys and Golediewski were removed to the De Graff Memorial hospital in the
    police ambulance. Attendants said today that Gawrys is suffering from internal injuries and numerous cuts and bruises. Golediewskl received a possible fracture of the skull and lacerations of the face and scalp. They were driving south in the Ward road, coming home from Niagara Falls, when the car skidded on the wet pavement and crashed into the trees. They were in a convertible coupe owned by Gawrys and driven by Allard.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Funeral services for Walter Allard, 20, of 90 Allen street, killed, in an automobile accident in the Ward road early Saturday morning, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence. The Rev. William H. Saye, of the Third Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's cemetery,
    Allard is survived by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allard: two brothers. Edward D. and Elmer R., and a sister, Florence M., all of North Tonawanda. Allard was a
    lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. He served with Company K, 174th Regiment, at Port Dix. N. J , until honorably discharged on September 18 last.
