    at the Pike and Jones Funeral

    Sanborn - Edwin Werth, 60, of 2683 Lockport Road, died today (Nov 15, 1971) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
    A native of St. Johnsburg, he resided in Sanborn since 1930.
    He was employed by the Remington-Rand Corp. For 38 years and was a member of the 25 year club. He had worked in the maintenance department for the Niagara Wheatfield school system for the last six months.
    Mr. Werth was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    Surviving are his widow, Eleonore Werth; two sons, Robert Werth and Russell Goeseke of Sanborn, a sister Mrs. Amos (Rose) Hahn of North Tonawanda and two grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church Thursday at 2 P.M. by Rev. Harold L. Baum.
    Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

Tuepah (Wendt), age 93, of Niagara Falls, New York, formerly of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home on April 21,2018 while at the Elderwood at Lockport facility (formerly called Odd Fellows & Rebekah Nursing Home). Born July 31, 1924 in Sanborn, NY, daughter of the late William and Minnie (Werth) Wendt. Mrs. Tuepah spent most of her life in Sanborn, and attended local schools. In her younger years, she was employed at the former Carborundum Company, was a waitress at the former Schimschacks Restaurant, Bergholz Restaurant, and John’s Flaming Heart. Her final job before retiring, was at the former Harrison Radiator Plant, in Lockport. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, but above all, the quality time spent with her loving family. After retiring, Margaret moved to Niagara Falls. She was united in marriage to Patrick Tuepah, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Pekin, where she was a lifelong member. Mr. Tuepah predeceased her on November 10, 2006.
    Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (John) Eddy of Cambria, NY; three grandchildren, Ronald (Colleen) Tarnowski, Michael Tarnowski, Melanie (Jeffrey) Rick; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella Rick. Nathan and Nicholas Tarnowski. Also predeceased by her son, James (Beverly Baptiste) Tuepah.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Wednesday (April 25) from 3-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. R. P.     ROBERT W. WERTH
    Robert W. Werth, age 73, of Town of Niagara, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a lengthy illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on March 13, 1934 to the late Edwin and Hulda (Pfuhl) Werth. He was a life long member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Walmore, where he was President of the Church Council. Bob played in several local marching bands including the American Legion, Sanborn Fire Co., and the Bergholz German Band. His hobbies and interests included fishing, traveling with the Bergholz German Band and getting together with friends to play dominos and euchre. Bob is a U.S. military veteran, member of the American Legion, Town of Niagara Lions Club and the Sanborn Lions Club. He was employed at the former Marine Midland Bank in Sanborn (sic) and was later employed as an accountant at the N.F. Air Force Base retiring in 1986. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dolores (Krull) Werth; a son, Michael Werth of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a daughter, Cheryl Werth (Troy Harrison) of North Tonawanda; step-brother, Russel (sic) Goeske (sic) of Niagara Falls; stepmother, Eleanor Craft of Sanborn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Werth. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     RANSOMVILLE - A 20-year-old nurse's aide, en route to work at Ransomville General Hospital, was killed Tuesday when the car in which she was riding slammed into a telephone pole in Balmer Road near here. Miss Betty Helen Werth, 20, of 2683 Lockport Rd., Sanborn, was pronounced dead on arrival at Ransomville General Hospital. She suffered internal injuries, a fractured skull and broken neck.
    The driver, John W. Sagar. 19, of 1788 Balmer Rd., Ransomville, was charged by sheriff's deputies with driving at a speed not reasonable or prudent. He was treated for shock at the hospital. This was the 10th traffic fatality in county roads this year compared to 21, this time last year.

    Asked For Ride
    Authorities said Miss Werth had asked Sagar for a ride to work because she had car trouble. Deputies Clayton Schultz, Louis Reale and Sgt. James Faery said Sagar told them he was driving east in Balmer Road and was late for work. He is an orderly at the Ransomville hospital. The report said Sagar was driving 70 miles an hour when he stepped on the brakes to a slow down. The car went out of control, careened across the road, struck the utility pole and ended up in a plowed field. The mishap occurred about 3:05 p.m.
    Miss Werth was a graduate of St. Peter's elementary day school and Niagara Wheatfield Central High School.

    Miss Werth's survivors include her parents, Edwin and Hulda Werth, 2683 Lockport Road, Sanborn. and a brother, Robert Werth, Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pike and Jones Funeral Home and at 2:30 at 51. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Rev. Donald G. Rehkopf will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

    Kermit F. Haseley, 54, of Saunders Settlement Road, an inspector at Buffalo Pumps in North Tonawanda for 33 years, died Thursday (June 11, 1998) at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Niagara Falls and was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company. He was a former member of the Sanborn Band and a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Haseley enjoyed bowling and fishing. Survivors include his wife, the former Carol Wojton; two daughters, Cindy Malinowski of Lakeview and Laurie Jeacoma of the Town of Niagara; his parents, Kermit A. and Janice; a brother, Rodney; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery

    FT. LAUDERDALE FL — Michael R. Werth, age 51, died unexpectedly in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, at Holy Cross Hospital on March 21, 2013. He was the son of Dolores (Krul) Werth and the late Robert Werth.

    He graduated from Niagara Wheatfield, attended Community College and University of Buffalo. He worked as a registered nurse in several hospitals in Florida and worked at Mount St. Mary's before he moved to Florida. He took pride in growing orchids in his backyard, enjoyed sports, tennis and basketball.

    He leaves behind a sister, Cheryl Werth/Troy Harrison; several uncles and cousins, and his beloved pet, Bella.

    There will be a private memorial service for him at a later date.
