    Old Resident of Sanborn Is Dead
    SANBORN, Sept. 18.-Mrs. Ernestine Haseley, 74 years old, died yesterday at her home in the Saunder (sic) Settlement road. Mrs. Hasley (sic) is survived by three sons, Edward W., Eric (sic) F. and George A. Haseley, all of this vicinity; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Pfuhl and Mrs. Rudolph Walck, both of Sanborn, and Miss Ella Haseley, at home; one sister, Mrs. William F. Haseley, of Sanborn, and one brother, Albert Dubois. of Niagara Falls.
    The funeral will be held from the family home on Thursday at 2 p.m., standard time, and at 2:30 from St. Peter's church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward A. Brabau (sic) will officiate. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.
    Mrs. Haseley was born in Germany and came to this country 67 years ago. She was the widow of Ferdinand J. Haseley. Five years ago they celebrated their 50th anniversary and Mr. Haseley died about three years ago.

    Aged Sanborn Resident Succumbs to Short Illness.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Frederika Haseley, 79, of Sanborn, N. Y. who died yesterday afternoon after an illness of two weeks, will be held from the family residence in the Town line road, tomorrow afternoon
    at 2:30 o'clock and a 3 o'clock at St. Andrew's German Lutheran church in Pekin, N. Y. Born in Germany, Mrs. Haseley came to this country when she was three years old. She had resided In Bergholtz, N. Y., and later in Pekin before removing to Sanborn. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward Allard, of North Tonawanda, N. Y., and one son, Reinhard, of Sanborn; a brother, Albert Dubois, of this city, and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, Pekin, N. Y

    SANBORN. March 8. - Funeral services for Edward W. Haseley. 84, of Saunders Settlement Road, who died March 2 at Memorial Hospital Niagara Falls, following a long Illness, were held Thursday at the home at 2 p. m and at St. Peters Church, Walmore. at 3:30 o'clock.     Mrs. Walck, 67, Dies in Hospital
    SANBORN-Mrs. Ernistine (sic) D. Walck, 67, of 5939 Walmore Road, this community, died Tuesday (Jan. 3, 1967) at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.
    Mrs. Walck had been attending a meeting of the Ladies Aid Society of St. Peter Lutheran Church at Walmore Tuesday night when she was stricken.
    Mrs. Walck was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and an officer of the Ladies Aid Society.
    She was born in this community, Sept. 11, 1899, the daughter of Ferdinand and Ernistine (sic) Haseley and lived in this area all of her life.
    Besides her husband, Rudolf C. Walck, she is survived by two sons, Rudolf Walck Jr. and Leonard W. Walck; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Edna) Craft, all of Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Ida Pfohl and a brother, Erich F. Haseley, both of this community; and four grandchildren.
    Funeral arrangements are being made by :he Pike and Jones Funeral Home here.

    M. J. (sic) Haseley Dies; Was Farm Operator
    SANBORN-Martin E. Haseley, 58, of 2744 Saunders Settlement Road, died Sunday (April 21, 1968) in Meyer Memorial Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness.
    Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was the son of Edward W. and Hulda Walck Haseley and operated the family farm at the Saunders Settlement Road address where he lived all his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, was former member of the senior choir, a member of the Farm Bureau Extension Service and director and agent of the Cooperative Fire Insurance Co. of Bergholtz. Mr. Haseley was a charter member, assistant chief and past chief of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Company and had recently received a life membership into the company. Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Blank; his mother Mrs. Hulda Haseley. Sanborn; a brother. Chester of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Kroening of Sanborn, and Mrs. Gerhard DeVantier and Mrs. Warren Camann, both of Niagara Falls. A1so surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home in Sanborn from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore by Rev. Gerald E. Scheck. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Members of the Sanborn Fire Company will meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m. The family said that contributions to the tuberculosis association or any Lutheran Church or charitable organizations will be acceptable as tributes.

    SANBORN - Chester A. Haseley, 63, of Saunders Settlement Road, owner of the Chet Haseley Dairy Farm, died Sunday (Jan. 4,1987) at his farm. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire County, and played the tuba in the Sanborn Fire Co. Band for 46 years. Haseley was for many years a baseball player on various local teams. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post No. 1451. He was also a member of Amvets Post No. 26 in North Tonawanda.     AMHERST - June M. Camann was called to her heavenly home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2014, in Williamsville Suburban Nursing Home, Amherst, NY, at the age of 86.

    She was born in Lewiston, NY, on June 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Edward William and Eleanor Hulda (Walck) Haseley.

    Mrs. Camann attended Niagara Falls High School. She was employed with Carborundum and was a cook at both the Bergholz Restaurant and John's Flaming Hearth, where she met Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio.

    She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, where she helped prepare meals and served on the Bereavement Luncheons. She was an avid supporter of the Sanborn Fire Company Band.

    Mrs. Camann was a beloved aunt and sister-in-law known for her baking of delicious cookies and pies. Family events were very important to her and she treated her nieces and nephews like her own children.

    She was the wife of the late Warren E. Camann, who died on July 26, 2003. They were married on October 8, 1949.

    Mrs. Camann is survived by her sister-in-law, Lillian Haseley; four nieces, Connie Washburn, Marcia Gardiner, Gladys Haseley and Brenda Butry; five nephews, Gary DeVantier, Kevin Haseley, Randy Haseley, Jack Cindrich and Richard Cindrich, and also many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Helen Kroening, Martha DeVantier, Martin Haseley and Chester Haseley; aunt of the late Sharon Kroening, K. Gilbert Kroening, Daniel Haseley, Harold Kroening, Daniel Cindrich and Rodney Cindrich.

    The family will be present on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. She is survived by her husband, Norman W. Haseley; two sons, Harold N. and Duane A. Haseley; a daughter, Marie E. Haseley; and an aunt, Miss Ella Haseley, all at home; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the home after noon Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 p.m. Sunday and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church by the Rev. Martin Pempeit. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

He had resided in the Town of Cambria, NY, for the last 57 years. He was employed as a welder at the General Abrasives, for 44 years, prior to retiring in 1985 Alfred was a longtime member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church Sanborn, NY, where he has served as and Elder and Trustee.
    He was a former of the Sanborn Fire Company Band, the Sanborn Business League and Wheatfield Senior Bowling Leagues, for many years. He enjoyed going to Church, being with his children, grandchildren and gardening.
    Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, the former Hazel E. [ Kroening ] Haseley, hi s children, Susan Haseley; Sandra [ Thomas ] Seefeldt; Darwin [ Debbie ] Haseley; Faye [ Peter ] Vogt; Jeffrey [ Doreen ] Haseley; a sister, Pearl DeVantier; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by a sister Lily Peter.
    The family will be present at Sunday 7 - 9 PM and Monday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Inc., SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 22nd, with Rev. R. Peter Voegler officiating.     Pearl Elfreida (Haseley) DeVantier, the daughter of the late Erich F. and Lily (Walck ) Haseley, was born on April 11, 1930, in the town of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York. She was baptized into the Christian faith on April 20, 1920 by Pastor Edward A. Grabau in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Walmore. After taking religious instructions under Pastor Grabau, Pearl made public affirmation of her faith through the rite of Confirmation on April 18, 1943. She attended St. Peter’s
    Parochial School until high school. On May 12, 1951, Pearl was united in marriage with Norman A. DeVantier in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Their 26 years of married life together were blessed by God with three children: Marlene, Lauren, and Scott. Pearl was a 1947 graduate of LaSalle High School and had worked as a secretary at Vedder Insurance Agency, Walter S. Johnson Building Company., and E.I. duPont Company; also at Hens & Kelly Department store as an office manager, and Bell Aerospace Textron as an administrative secretary from which she retired in 1992. Church was a large part of Pearl’s life. She was a leader of Junior Lutherans, participated in the Women of the Church group, sang in the church choir and faithfully attended services. She was an avid collector of angels and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, card playing and floral arranging. Her specialty was making old-fashioned German waffles and baking hundreds of Christmas cookies to give away!
    Pearl died in the Lord on March 25, 2020, having attaining the age of 90. She suffered from complications of the Coronavirus. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman, in 1977, a sister Lily Peter in 2003, and a brother, Alfred Haseley, in 2006.
    Pearl is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Mark) Sivecz and Dr. Lauren (Kenneth) DeVantier Schosek, one son, Scott (Paula) DeVantier, a sister-inlaw, Hazel Haseley, five grandchildren, Daniel (Inhee) Han-Sivecz, Melinda (Ryan) Charron, Rev. David Sivecz, Katherine (Rahul) DeVantier-Pradhu, and Christina (Andrew Fera) DeVantier, and two great-grandchildren, Natalie Charron and Matthias Han-Sivecz along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Private Christian graveside services were held at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery on May 30, 2020 with the Rev. Daniel Tabor officiating. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.

    Rudolf A. Walck, of Walmore Road, a lifelong resident of Sanborn, died Wednesday (July 2,1986) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
    Walck, 64, operated a dairy farm with his son and brother for many years. He belonged to the Hockey Alumni League and was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire County, a member of the Sanborn Firemen's Band for more than 30 years and a member of other musical organizations. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Sanborn and he had been very active in area softball leagues during the 1950s and 1960s.
    Walck was the son of the late Rudolf and Ernestine Walck, husband of the late Jeanette (Mueller) Walck and brother of the late Edna Craft.
    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Simons) Walck; a son, Wayne Walck of Sanborn; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Lynn) Wilson of Sanborn; a brother, Leonard Walck of Sanborn; a granddaughter, two nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.

    SANBORN-Leonard W. Walck, 68, of Walmore Road, died Thursday (Dec. 1, 1994) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a short illness.
    He was born in Lewiston on July 27, 1926, the son of Rudolf C. and Ernestine (Haseley) Walck. He was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School.
    He was in a partnership with his nephew, Wayne R. Walck, in the Falcon Acres Farm in Sanborn, where he was a dairy and vegetable farmer for 50 years.
    The Walck family has had a stall for more than 50 years at the Niagara Falls City Market, where he had worked since he was a boy.
    He was member of the Town of Lewiston Planning Board.
    Mr. Walck was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn, where he was a past treasurer of its Sunday school. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, the Niagara County Milk Producers Cooperative, and a past member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. Band.
    Mr. Walck is survived by his wife of 22 years, Alice (Retzlaff) Walck of Sanborn; three nephews; a niece; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
    He was the brother of the late Rudolf A. Walck and Edna Craft.
    Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road. The Ronald L. Majeroni will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Sanborn.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - One man was killed and two others seriously
    injured shortly, after 2 o'clock this morning: when the automobile
    in which they were riding left the Ward road near the Ruie road and crashed into two trees, hurling the occupants of the car onto the pavement. Police were notified by nearby residents and when they arrived on the scene they found Walter Allard, 20, of 90 Allen street, dead and Bronislaus Gawrys, 23, of 197 Seventeenth avenue, and Stanley Golediewski, 22, of 111 Sixth avenue, unconscious on the highway. The police also reported that they found Frank Krzystek, 27, of 284 Thirteenth street, Niagara Falls, stranded with his car among the wreckage. They said that the Niagara Falls man was going north in the Ward, road near the scene and crashed into the wreckage. He was arrested and locked up on a charge of public intoxication. Coroner J. E. Helwlg was notified and had the body of Allard removed to the Wattengel funeral home, in Oliver street. Gawrys and Golediewski were removed to the De Graff Memorial hospital in the
    police ambulance. Attendants said today that Gawrys is suffering from internal injuries and numerous cuts and bruises. Golediewskl received a possible fracture of the skull and lacerations of the face and scalp. They were driving south in the Ward road, coming home from Niagara Falls, when the car skidded on the wet pavement and crashed into the trees. They were in a convertible coupe owned by Gawrys and driven by Allard.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Funeral services for Walter Allard, 20, of 90 Allen street, killed, in an automobile accident in the Ward road early Saturday morning, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence. The Rev. William H. Saye, of the Third Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's cemetery,
    Allard is survived by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allard: two brothers. Edward D. and Elmer R., and a sister, Florence M., all of North Tonawanda. Allard was a
    lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. He served with Company K, 174th Regiment, at Port Dix. N. J , until honorably discharged on September 18 last.
