    Funeral services for Roland J. Ferchen, a retired machinist, will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield.
    Ferchen of Errick Road died Monday (Dec. 20, 1993) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. He was 71.
    A lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, Ferchen was employed by Teledyne-Taber Instruments in North Tonawanda for 20 years. He retired in 1985.
    He was a member and past trustee of St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Heinhard; one daughter, Marcia of Newfane; two sons, Mark of the Town of Niagara and David of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Gertrude and Ruth; one brother, Wilbert; and six grandchildren

    WHEATFIELD — Marcia Lynn Ferchen, age 54, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on September 4, 2011 after a brief illness at her residence. Born in the Town of Tonawanda, NY, on October 19, 1956 to the late Roland and Joan (Reinhard) Ferchen.

    She graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and was employed at Alcliff Nursery and later at D.F. Calkins Lumber Company. Marcia was a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, in Bergholz and her hobbies included gardening.

    Survivors include her two brothers, Mark Ferchen of the Town of Niagara and David Ferchen of Assonet, Mass; step-father, Norman Jagow; and five nephews and nieces, Adam, Michael, Robert, Ashley and Nicole.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 5 - 8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten, on Friday at 10:30 AM in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street in Bergholz. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
