Michael L. Stenzel, age 50, of Niagara Falls, NY was called to his heavenly home peacefully into the arms of Jesus, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 20, 1965 in Niagara Falls, NY to Myron (Mike) and June (Williams) Stenzel. He attended Holy Ghost Lutheran School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1983. He was formerly employed at Greene & Kellogg, Superior Lubricants, and Norampac. Michael was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan as well as a NASCAR fan. His sense of humor was unique and enjoyed by many. Michael was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.

Besides his parents, Michael is survived by his son, Michael Stenzel II, whom he cherished; brother, Jeff (Belinda) Stenzel of Bergholz; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Miller of Houston Texas; and Dawn Stenzel. Michael also leaves behind four nieces, Nicole, Allison, and Sarah Miller of Houston Texas, Riley Stenzel; and one nephew, Kyle Stenzel; two aunts, Ol Chaddock and Elaine (Al) Eichin both of Titusville, FL, several cousins and special family friend, Lois Handley.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday, October 2nd from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.

Services will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 10:30 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz, with the Rev. R.P. Vogeler, officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, or a charity of one's choice.
