Born in St. Johnsburg, Feb. 25, 1893, she was the daughter of William and Anna Miller Werth. She was the widow of William F. Schulz, who died 13 years ago, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. She is survived by a son, Howard W. Schulz of Lockport; two, daughters, Mrs. Milton (Mabel) Weyers of Medina and Mrs. LeRoy (Doris) Marker of Lockport; three grandsons; two brothers, Phillip and Paul Werth, both of Lockport, and two step-brothers, Benjamin Werth of the Town of Cambria and Edward Werth of the Town of Wheatfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ernest E.     LOCKPORT -
    Doris H. Marker passed away after a brief illness on May 8, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Pendleton, NY on February 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther Werth Schultz.
    Doris graduated Lockport High School in June 1946, received her RN from Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in September 1949. She worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1982. She also worked at St. Clare Manor for many years in Lockport, and volunteered at Niagara Hospice. Doris enjoyed playing cards, knitting and crocheting and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Doris married LeRoy E. Marker on November 24, 1949. Sadly, he passed August 2, 1985. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Howard Schultz and Mabel Weyers.
    Doris is survived by her sons, James (Nancy) Marker of Port St. Lucie, FL and David (Helen) Marker of Lockport; grandmother of Timothy (Gina) Marker, Heather (Andrew) Rosenberg of Lockport, Jason (Esther) Marker, Shaun (Maria) Marker, Jonathan (Kristen) Marker, Joshua (Kristen) Marker. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Michael and Hannah Marker, Madisen, Matthew and Benjamin Rosenberg, Zoe Marker, Mason and Elliot Marker.
    Friends may call Tuesday 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.     Services for Claude L. Werth Sr., a retired operating engineer, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
    He died Tuesday (Dec. 26, 1995) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after being stricken at home.
    Werth, 69, was born in Niagara Falls and lived on Lockport Road all his life.
    He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 as a machinist's mate third class and received the American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
    Werth worked for the Operating Engineers Local for many years before retiring in 1988.
    A fruit farmer, he was known at the North Tonawanda farmers market and had a stall there for several years.
    Werth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport, the American Legion of Friendship, the National Rifle Association and Seabee Island X-8 of the Niagara Frontier, City of Tonawanda.
    His first wife, Carol Ann Volkstadt Werth, died in 1975.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine "Kitty" Schaar-London; a son, Claude L. "Rusty" of Lockport; his mother, the former Edna Mudd of Lockport; four stepdaughters, Christine Laufer of Sanborn, Beth Madison and Katherine Carter, both of Peoria, Ariz., and Sally Jones of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Leo of Lockport; a sister, Beatrice Daigler of Lockport; 10
    stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-granddaughters.

    Mr. Werth grew up on his family farm, which he took over and ran. He was also a truck driver for R.L. Gaude in Lockport, for many years, before retiring and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Werth's passion was his horses, raising, showing and riding them was one of his favorite pass times. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to auctions and being in the out of doors.

    Mr. Werth is survived by his wife of 65 years Betty J. [Kidder] Werth, one son Douglas (Linda) Werth of Gasport, one daughter Darlene (Gary Wilkins) Werth of the Town of Cambria, a granddaughter LaceyJo (Kyle) Craig, a great granddaughter RylynnJo Craig, sister Beatrice (Donald) Daigler, a sister in law Kitty Werth, also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of late Claude Werth.

    His family will be present on Saturday from 10-12:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Charles Jennings officiating.

    Beatrice J. Daigler of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on  Sunday, February 7, 2021, at the Lockport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.   She was born in Lockport, NY, on June 14, 1929, a daughter of the late Phillip and Edna [Mudd]  Werth.
    Mrs. Daigler was actively involved with her families fruit farm throughout her life.
    She was a 4-H Leader with the Niagara County horse department for many years and enjoyed attending and participating in area horse shows.
    Mrs. Daigler was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
    She was the wife of the late Donald J. Daigler, Sr., who passed away in February of 2018.
    Mrs. Daigler is survived by her son Donald (Penny) Daigler, a grandson Todd (Kristen) Daigler, two great grandsons Jackson and James, also many nieces and nephews.
    She was the mother of the late Edna Daigler and sister of the late Leo (late Betty) and Claude (late Kitty) Werth.
    Private funeral funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family, with interment in St. Peter's Lutheran at North Ridge Cambria, NY.
    Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
