    William C. Mueller, 64 years old, a lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield, died last night at his home on the Nash road after a week's illness. He is survived by a wife, Wilhelmina, three sons, Walter, William and George; two grandchildren, a mother, Mrs. Fredericka Mueller, all of Wheatfield, and a brother, August Mueller, Bergholz. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter --- will conduct the service and burial will be in the St. John's cemetery

    August F. Mueller 72, died yesterday at his home on the Niagara road, Bergholtz. He was a life-long and well known resident of that place. He leaves a wife. Rosa, nee Sy: a son. Edwin: a daughter, Mrs, Erich Ferchen, and four grandchildren, all of Bergholtz. Rites will he held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at the Holy Ghost Lutheran church. Rev.     Retired Area Farmer Dies
    NORTH TONAWANDA - George H. Mueller, 68, of *467 Nash Road, Wheatfield, a retired farmer, died Sunday (Nov. 27, 1960) at DeGRaff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A lifelong Wheatfield resident, Mr. Mueller was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church here. Surviving are his wife, Wilhelmina Schendel Mueller; a son, Benjamin Mueller; and a brother, William A. Mueller, Sanborn. Rev. Frederick Hinners will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

    Elsie R. Ferchen, the oldest living member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, died Tuesday (June 18, 1996) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after becoming ill in CrestWood Health Care Center, Wheatfield.
    Mrs. Ferchen, 96, formerly of Bergholz, was born Elsie Mueller on Jan. 1, 1900, in the Town of Wheatfield.
    She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
    Her husband, Erich, died in 1973.
    She is survived by two sons, Nathan "Ollie" and Kenneth; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield

Mary was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and St. Andrew's Ladies Aid member. She enjoyed bird-watching, baking and spending time with her family.
    Mary is survived by her six children, Mattie (Peter) Wallace, Betty (Charles) Johnson, William (Marcia) Wyatt, James Wyatt, Sr., Mary Jane (Donald) Guyette and Donna (Matthew Pisarski) Wyatt; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her loving sister, Ruth DeVantier of Sanborn, NY. She is predeceased by her brother, Arthur Mueller; and dear friend, Phyllis Stoelting.
    Visitation will be held at DuBois Funeral Home, Niagara Falls on Sunday, November 6th from 1:00-5:00 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev R.P. Vogeler at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church on Monday, November 7th at 10:00 AM with burial immediately following at Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Mary's name to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.

    Ruth E. DeVantier of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility.   She was born in  the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on November 4, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Louise [Broecker]  Mueller.
    Mrs. DeVantier was a Tupperware dealer for over 40 years and  was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
    She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and gardening.
    Mrs. DeVantier was the wife of the late Elmer A. DeVantier, who passed away in June of 2002.
    She  was the mother of  Robert (Susan) DeVantier,  Susan (late William) Thompson and Sharon (Kenneth) Walker and the late Richard DeVantier, six grandchildren Rebecca Drabczk and Christina DeVantier, Michelle Thompson,  Jayme  (Paul) Mohr, Dan and Andrew Walker, two great grandchildren Sara and Sean, also many  nieces and nephews.
    Mrs. DeVantier was the sister of a late brother and sister.
    Her family will be present on Thursday  from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5983 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY.  Funeral Services will be held on   Friday  at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church,   3229 Upper Mountain Road, SANBORN, NY, with the Rev. Kurt D. Schultz officiating.
    Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Andrew Church.

    He was born in Wheatfield, NY on September 25, 1935, the son of William and Louise [Broecker] Mueller. Mr. Mueller attended St. Andrews Lutheran school and church , where he was a life long member. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea as tank commander, during the Korean Conflict.
    Mr. Mueller was employed with the International Paper County, the Continental Can Co. and as a loom operator with the Carborundum Co. , before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1434, in Hinsdale, NY and enjoyed woodworking and mentoring others.
    Mr. Mueller is survived by his wife of 49 years Beulah H. [Bennion] Mueller, they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November, three sons Raymond W. (Nina) Mueller of the Town of Cambria, Arthur W. (Lisa) Mueller of the Town of Lewiston and Guy A. (Linda) Mueller of Lancaster, PA, one daughter Linda A. (Thomas) Lowe of Denver, CO, two sisters Ruth DeVantier of the Town of Cambria and Mary Wyatt of Pekin, he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
    There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held MONDAY at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin, with Rev. R. Peter Vogeler officiating. Interment at Acacia Park Pendleton, NY. Memorials may be made the St. Andrews Church or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

    NATHAN OLIVER FERCHEN "Ollie", age 95 of Bergholz, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on July 6, 2018, while at the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 21, 1923, son of the late Eric and Elsie (Mueller) Ferchen. He was united in marriage to Shirley (Brooks) Ferchen on June 7, 1947. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2004. Ollie served in the United States Army during World War II, and received the Purple Heart. A lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz; he was employed as a truck driver for Staffen Trucking, Tonawanda, the Town of Wheatfield, and Prezezio Trucking. Ollie was a member of the American Legion- Wheatfield Post 1451, the Bergholz German Band, and was an avid Yankees fan.
    Survivors include four children, DeEtte (husband Francis Giles) Ferchen, Charlene (Randall) Scherrer both of Bergholz, Russell (Karen) Ferchen of Lockport, and Justine (Richard) Wright of Bergholz; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Bethany, Vanessa, Stephanie, Michele, Cindi, Joseph, and Tyler; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Muriel) Ferchen of Bergholz; and a brother in law, Joseph (Carole) Brooks.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Tuesday (July 10) from 3-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Wednesday (July 11) at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street, Bergholz. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    Nathan married BROOKS, Shirley Lorraine on 7 Jun 1947 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Shirley (daughter of BROOKS, Russell C and WILKENSEN, Elsie V) was born on 25 Sep 1927 in Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada; died on 26 Dec 2004 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY.
