He is survived by two brothers, Anton and Hubert Goerss and two sisters, the Misses Sophia and Charlotte Goerss, all of North Tonawahda. WALMORE-Mrs. Frances M. Grabau, 75, died Sunday, March 10, 1957) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Duwe, East Palestine, OH. She was a native of Bergholtz, the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Broeker Goerss.
Mrs. Grabau was married on Sept. 29, 1904, to the Rev. Edward A. Graubau (sic), pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church here for 42 years, retiring in 1948, after which the couple resided in North Tonawanda. They moved to their daughter's home in Ohio in 1952.
Mrs. Grabau was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, East Palestine. In addition to her husband and daughter, surviving are two sisters, the Misses Charlotte and Sophie Goerss, and four brothers, Anton, Rufus. Hubert Goerss. all of North Tonawanda, and Rudolph Goerss, Lockport, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike Funeral Home, Sanborn, Wednesday evening. Norman C. Broecker, 33, was found dead in bed this morning at his home, 2 Old Niagara Falls boulevard, where he resided with his mother Mrs. August Broecker, A certificate of death from natural causes was issued by Health Officer H. C. Lapp. Mr. Broecker had been in poor health for some time, but continued to work at his place of employment until Tuesday. Feeling indisposed yesterday, he remained at home. Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Edwin, of Buffalo. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. The Rev. Theophil Berner will officiate, and interment will be in St. Martin's cemetery.

Mrs. Haseley Dies at 71
SANBORN-Mrs. Hulda A. Haseley, 71, of Lockport Rd., died Thursday (July 30, 1959) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, Jan. 27, 1888, she was the daughter of August and Augusta DeVantier Kroening. She married Anthony Haseley 49 years ago. They made their home for many years in Tuscarora Rd., Town of Niagara. For the last seven years, they had lived in their present home in Lockport Rd.
Mrs. Haseley was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Walck, Lockport; Mrs. Max Haseley, Lewiston, and Mrs. Norman Wendt, Sanborn; a son, Harvey Haseley, also Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Niagara Falls, and two brothers, Philip and Albert Kroening, both on Sanborn; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Edna A. Haseley, the longtime owner of a family farm on Saunders Settlement Road, died Thursday (Aug. 22, 2002) in CrestWood Health Care Center, Wheatfield. She was 95.
The former Edna Kroening was born in the Town of Lewiston in 1906. She married Erwin Haseley in 1932. Together, they worked on the family farm until his death in 1962.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she had been active in its Ladies Aid Society and worked on church dinners. She also was a member of the Sanbornites Senior Citizens Group and enjoyed quilting and crafts.
Mrs. Haseley is survived by a son, Ernest of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Ruth Grose of Daphine, Ala., and Gretchen Plough of Jefferson City, TN.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6169 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery

SANBORN-Elmer F. Kroening, 67, of 4181 Upper. Mountain Road, prominent in civic and church affairs here and, chairman of the Planning Board in the Town of Cambria, died Friday (June 17, 1966) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, he was the son of the late Carl and Anna Pfohl Kroening. His wife, the former Elsie Walck Kroening, died in September of 1965, Mr. Kroening was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, a member of the Board of Elders, the Church Council, the Lutheran Laymen's League of Western New York, and a past trustee of the church. He also was an exempt member of the Pekin Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau Extension Service, a former director of the National Grape Cooperative and a former board member of the Starpoint Central School. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Kroening Was a native of the Town of Niagara and had lived in Sanborn for the last 50 years, where he had owned and operated Kroening Garage on Route 31 for the last 49 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore; a charter member of the Sanborn Lions Club and an honorary member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Haseley Kroening; two sons, Harold and Gilbert Kroening; and a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin (Gladys) Haseley, all of Sanborn. He was the father of the late Miss Sharon L. Kroening. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.
