    Mrs. Anna Wagner, Sanborn, is Laid to Rest in Oakwood Cemetery at Falls.
    SANBORN, April 9.—The funeral of Mrs. Anna M. Wagner, aged 64, who passed away at her home on the Lockport road on Saturday. April 6, after a long illness, was held today at 2 p. m. from her late home.
    Mrs. Wagner was the widow of Henry F. Wagner and is survived by four sons, Henry J., Lester, Wilbur and Raymond, all of Sanborn, and three daughters. Mrs. Glen Dodge of Sanborn. Mrs. Herbert Koithan of the Shawnee road, and Mrs. Ruben J. Jedele of Tonawanda, N. Y., also twelve grandchildren.
    Mrs. Wagner was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bollier of La Salle and was born at La Salle. Thirty-seven years ago she moved with her family to the home on the Lockport road; she was held in high esteem by a host of friends. The bearers were all nephews of the deceased and included Messrs. Norman Kropp. Leo Parks. Harold Bollier, Sampson Hiden and Cecil Hiden, all of Tonawanda, and Edwin Hoover of Sanborn. Rev. William B. Arnold officiated.
    Burial was in Oakwood cemetery at Niagara Falls.

    John H. Bollier, 77, a prom-
    nent resident of North Tonawanda
    for 55 years, died yesterday
    morning at his home, 34 Felton
    street. Mr. Bollier had been in
    failing health for the past year
    but it was only during the last
    month that his condition became
    serious.
    Born in the LaSalle section of
    Niagara Falls, Mr. Bollier attained
    prominence by b e i ng
    named highway commissioner of
    the Falls to fill the vacancy
    caused by the death of his father
    John Jacob Bollier, a leading
    citizen of that city for many
    years. The office was an elective
    one and Mr. Bollier was elected
    to the position at the election following
    his appointment.
    At the expiration of his term
    as highway commissioner, Mr
    Bollier took up his residence, 55
    years ago, in the house where He
    died yesterday. He operated a
    shoe store in the Gratwick section
    of North Tonawanda for
    many years. From the time he
    located in that section of North
    Tonawanda, Mr. Bollier took an
    active interest in civie affairs
    and was a leader in securing un-

    provements for that part of the
    city.
    A leader in the Democratic
    ranks, he served as chairman of
    the party's city committee for a
    number of years. He also served
    ten years as supervisor from the
    old Third Ward. When Charles F.
    Foley was elected sheriff of
    Niagara county on the Democra-
    tic ticket, Mr. Bollier was ap-
    pointed undersheriff. Mr. Foley
    resigned the office of sheriff and
    Mr. Bollier was elevated to the
    position made vacant by the
    former's resignation.
    Mr. Bollier then served as
    undresheriff during the term of
    Dennis Daley, who was next
    elected to the office of sheriff.
    In co-operation with the late
    Charles Stoll and the late Ed-
    ward Mye, Mr. Bollier organized
    the Third Presbyterian church on
    Felton street. His wife also became
    a charter member of the
    church. For 37 years he was a
    trustee of the church.
    Mr. Bollier was also a charter
    member of the Gratwick Hose
    company. He was one of the
    active promoters of the firemen's
    organization.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Anna M.; two sons, Harold E.
    Bollier, North Tonawanda postmaster;
    Chester A. Bollier, supervisor
    of physical education in
    the Kenmore high school; a
    daughter, Mrs. Alvin Jedele of
    North Tonawanda; four sisters,
    Mrs. Rosa E. Parkes of North
    Tonawanda, Mrs. L o u i s a B.
    Reister and Mrs. August Kropf of
    Tonawanda and Mrs. Clara Ward
    of Buffalo, and six grandchildren,
    Funeral services will be held
    Wednesday at 2 p. m. from the'
    residence and at 2:30 p. m. from
    the Third Presbyterian church.
    The Rev. William H. Saye will
    conduct the rites and interment
    will be in the city cemetery on
    Main street, Tonawanda.

    Bollier, 79, of 386 Delaware St.,
    died Wednesday evening in the
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after
    an illness of five days. Born in
    LaSalle, Mrs. Riesterer had lived
    in this vicinity all her life. She
    was a member of the St Francis
    Church and its Altar Society.
    Mrs. Riesterer was the wife of
    the late John M. Riesterer. Surviving
    are three daughters, Mrs.
    Joseph N. Bonin, of Buffalo and
    Tessa and Irma at home; three
    grandchildren and a sister, Mrs.
    August Kropf of Tonawanda. Funeral
    services will be held Saturday
    at 8:30 a. m. from the residence

    TOWN OF WHEATFIELD - A
    76-year-old man, who may
    have entered his flaming home
    to save his pet dog, was burned
    critically Saturday night in a
    fire w h i c h caused extensive
    damage to his home at 2754
    Lockport Road here.
    .The victim was pulled from
    the house by two passers-by who
    smothered the flames on his
    body.
    Admitted to Mount St. Mary's
    Hospital in poor condition was
    Wilbur Wagner, who lived alone
    in the house. He suffered third
    degree burns.over the entire
    extent of his body.
    Andrew Hastee. 24,. of 1386
    Judson Ave., Chula Vista,
    Calif., and Fred Honadle, 66,
    of 3710 McKoon Ave., were driving
    by the house when they
    noticed smoke and flames.
    Mr.. Honadle told the Sunday
    Gazette that he and his sonin-
    law, Mr. Hastee, were going
    to phone for help until they saw
    a man in the rear yard heading
    for the house.

    service for Raymond L. Wagner,
    44, who died Thursday, July 8. after
    18 months Illness with heart dls-

    gathering of relatives and friends.

    o'clock at the Memorial hospital,
    Niagara Falls, of heart disease.
    Mr. Wagner was born in the town;
    of Wheatfield. where He spent his
    youth For 15 years he resided at
    Niagara Falls, Where he was em-
    ployed by the William Young Trans-.
    portatlon company as a rigger. Two
    years ago he removed to this village
    and he had been afflicted with
    heart disease for the last 18 months.
    Mr. Wagner Is survived by his
    wife, Mrs. Georgia Trelchler Wagner;
    two sons, Roland and Paul:
    two daughters, Annette and Helen,
    all at home: three brothers. Henry,
    Wilbur and Lester Wagner, of Sanbom,
    and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert
    Koithan. of Shawnee, N. Y„ and
    Mrs. Ruben Jedele, of Tonawanda.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the home on Sunday, July 11, at
    2:30 p.m. The Rev. F. L. Harburn

    Harold E. Bollier, 68, North Tonawanda's post-
    master for 29 years, died today at his home, 150 E. Fel-
    ton St., North Tonawanda.
    Mr. Bollier suffered a heart at-
    tack in March and was con-
    vaalescing at home.
    A lifelong resident of North
    Tonawanda, Mr. Bollier was ap-
    pointed postmaster on March 13,,
    1935, by President Franklin D.
    Roosevelt.
    He was treasurer of the Niag-
    ara-Orleans Chapter of the Na-
    tional Association of Postmasters
    in 1952. He also was a director
    of the Niagara Savings and Loan
    Association and was an appraiser
    for the firm.
    Before his appointment as post-
    master, Mr.. Bollier was a mem-
    ber of the North Tonawanda
    Board of Education when the
    origina high school on Payne
    Avenue was constructed. He also
    was a member of the North Ton-
    awanda Library Board, but re-
    signed when he became postmas-
    ter.

    A graduate of North Tonawan-
    da High School, he also attended
    the University of Buffalo. He la-
    ter joined his father's real estate
    firm,, the former J. H. Bollier
    Realtors Inc., in North Tonawan-
    da.
    An active member of the Third
    Presbyterian Church, he was cit-
    ed in 1943 for 25 years service
    as a Sunday School superintend-
    ent. He also was a Sunday
    School teacher, elder and choir
    member.
    Besides his wife, Ethel, he is
    survived by two sons, Roger
    W., president of Niagara Cutter
    Co., and the Rev. John A. Bol-
    lier of Chatsworth, Calif.; a
    brother, Chester A.,, director of
    physica education and recreation
    in Union Free School District,,
    Kenmore - Town of Tonawanda,
    and a sister, Mrs. Alvin Jedele
    of North Tonawanda.
    Services will be at 1:30 p.m.
    Friday at the Third Presbyterian
    Church. The Rev. Kenneth E.

    Mrs. Treichler graduated from LaSalle High School. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Sanborn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Treichler enjoyed card club at church, traveling, crocheting and sewing.

    She was the wife of the late Robert E. Treichler, who died in June of 2000. Mrs. Treichler is survived by three daughters, Gail (Kenneth) Terhaar of Rochester, NY, Nancy (James) Johnson of Baldwinsville, NY and Jane (Ronald) Scudder of Rochester, NY , one son in law Dale Demler, eight grandchildren Jim and Jon (Carla) Demler, Melissa (JR) Stein, Laura (Brad) Penhollow, Kara and Greg Johnson, Rachel and Alexandra Scudder, five great grandchildren Maggie, Dominic, Jacob, Veronica and Jace, one brother Lester A. (late Sally) Wagner, also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late JoAnn Demler.

    Les graduated from LaSalle High School in 1944 and grew up on the family farm in Sanborn. In 1967, he opened Wagner's Farm & Market, where they sold his apples and locally grown produce. The market is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year. He was an active member in the Sanborn Jaycee's, the Sanborn Lion's Club, the Farm Bureau and the Cornell Cooperative Extension. Les enjoyed sailing, water and snow skiing and traveling through out the world, with his wife Sally.
    He was the  husband of 57 years to the late Sally P. [Peard] Wagner, who passed away on April 2, 2015.
    Les is survived by two sons Lester A. (Valerie) Wagner, III and Peter J. (Tammy) Wagner, two daughters Amy E. (Ricky) Winkelmann and Wendy R. (Dale Walck) Hiddie, ten grandchildren Larissa, Rhianna (Ryan) Brown, Lester IV, Taylor, Sarah, Ryan (fiancee' Andrea), Troy, Jillian, Derek and Brendon (fiancee' Casey), his brother in law Francois (late Kathryn) Petot, also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late William and brother of the late Glee (Robert) Treichler.
    His family will be present on  Sunday, from 1-5 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM.

Beloved wife of William Gosch for seventy years, loving mother of Phyllis Gosch, Susan Taylor (Kevin), Christine Gosch (Jim Mattoon) and Matthew Gosch (Beth Kinsman). Cherished grand-mother of Kirsten Motley (John), Alexandra Taylor, Meryl Gosch and Kelsey Gosch. Dear great-grandmother of Oliver Motley. Her brother Harold Koithan survives her. Lois was also a kindred spirit to her many nieces, nephews and relatives and a fond friend to many. Lois was born to Herbert and Margaret (nee Wagner) Koithan of Shawnee Road. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Ruth Janowski and Jane Broecker and her brother Herbert Koithan. She is known for her love of gardening and the outdoors. Any day, spring through fall, Lois could be found picking up sticks and pinecones that always seemed plentiful. She truly enjoyed time with her family in the kitchen and on the Koithan farm. She was also an accomplished seamstress, making children's clothing, prom dresses and curtains. Lois had a kind, patient and abundantly loving personality that was complimented by her keen sense of humor. A celebration of Lois' life will be held at a later time.      Mr. Koithan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn (Hoffmeister) Koithan and was the father of David Koithan, Robert (Krisann) Koithan, Brenda (Brooks) Rimes, Kevin Koithan (Eva Liao) and Timothy (Sherrill) Koithan, 18 grandchildren - Jennifer (Kevin) Josing, Amanda (David) Benavidez, Colleen (Chris) Brown, Sarah Koithan, Kim Koithan, Melissa Koithan, Kelly (Christian) Siezega,  Kaitlyn Koithan, Allison Koithan, Jason Rimes, Nathan (Kristin) Rimes, Brett (Jocelin) Rimes, Matthew Koithan, John Koithan, Lydia Liao, Nicholas Koithan, Bailey Koithan, Jacob Koithan and 13 great grandchildren – Payton Josing, Kyle Josing, Alex Josing, Violet Benavidez, Gina Brown, Gabriella Brown, Joseph Brown, Christian Brown, Daphne Rimes, Angel Rimes, Katie Rimes, Caleb Rimes and Naomi Rimes. 
     He is also survived by his twin brother Harold (late Gloria) Koithan, a sister Lois (William) Gosch and many nieces and nephews.
    Herbert was the brother of the late Ruth (late Glenn) Janowsky and Jane (late Donald) Broecker.
    Private Funeral Services were held at the wishes of his family.
    Interment in Wheatfield Cemetery.

    Age 92 of Tonawanda. Wife of 52 years to the late Floyd W. Sanderson who died in 2007, mother of Carol (Richard) Hofmann, Matthew (Deborah) Sanderson, Thomas (late Deborah) Sanderson and Amy (Jeffrey) Miller, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, daughter of the late Reuben and Vera Jedele and sister of the late Alice Krupp and James Jedele. Also many nieces and nephews. Nancy was a lifelong member of Tonawanda United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2024 from 3-7 PM at JOHN 0.     Annette Joan (Wagner) Schultz passed on May 22, 2018 in Northgate Health Care Facility after a long illness. Born on December 24, 1932 at home in LaSalle, NY, she was a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Georgia R. (Treichler) Wagner. Annette graduated from Wilson Central School and lived in Wilson for 68 years.
    Annette worked as a Niagara County Home Health Aide until her retirement. She directed the choir at North Ridge United Methodist Church for many years. Annette was a charter member of the South Wilson Volunteer Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee for over 50 years with her Yahtzee club.
    She was preceded in death by husband, Allan H Schultz; son, Roger A. Schultz; daughter, Suzanne L. Schulz; brothers, Roland and Paul; and sister, Helen. She is survived by daughters, Deborah Clark and Kathleen Donner (Michael); sons, Wayne Schultz (Sue Balcom) and Tom Schultz (Barb Stevens); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be at the on Tuesday, May 29th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Hamilton & Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young St., Wilson, NY. A service will be held on Wednesday May 30th at 11 AM at North Ridge United Methodist Church, 3930 North Ridge Rd., Lockport.     Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Bollier
    of 150 East Felton St. have been
    notified that the body of their
    son, CpL Sherwood H. Bollier,
    killed fighting the Germans in
    Holland is being returned aboard
    the U. S. Transport Haiti Victory.
    He died in action with the U. S.
    Paratroopers on Oct. 2, 1044.
    He was with his command in
    the D-Day invasion of France and
    he fought with his detachment for
    38 days without relief. His presence
    in the front lines in Holland
    followed his reassignment to active
    duty after a rest period in
    England, earned by the valiant
    fighting he and his comrades performed
    in Normandy.
    A lifelong resident of North
    Tonawanda, Cpl. Bollier was a
    graduate of the North Tonawanda
    High School and received his
    Bachelor of Science degree from
    the University of Georgia. He was
    employed by the Union Bag and
    Paper Company of Savannah, Ga.,
    when he enlisted in the Naval Air
    Corps.
    After receiving an honorable
    discharge from the Navy he signed
    on with the paratroopers in October
    1942, and went overseas a
    year later.
    Besides his parents, Cpl. Bollier
    is survived by two brothers,
    Roger and John A. Bollier.
