    at the home here. Mrs. Bruss
    was born at Cedarburg, Wis., and
    had resided here the last 40 years.
    She was an active member and
    worker of St. Jacobs' church and
    Its Ladles* Aid society.
    Besides her husband, she is survived
    by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond
    Mlelke. of Niagara Falls, Mrs.
    Charles Grelner, of Lockport, and
    Mrs. Donald Becker, of this village;
    two sons, Roland W. and Gerald
    Bruss, of Bergholtz; ten grandchildren;
    three sisters. Mrs. Adele
    Ziemer, of Mankato, Minn., and the
    Misses Louise and Rose Grabau, of
    Athol Springs, N. Y., and a brother,
    John F. Grabau, of Buffalo.
    The funeral will be held Monday
    afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at the
    home with services at St. Jacob's
    church at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev.
    Edward Grabau, a cousin, of Walmore,
    will officiate. Interment will
    be In St. Jacob's cemetery

Grabau, 83, who resided in Athol Springs the greater part of her life and in Tonawanda for eight years, Thursday (Jan. 6, 1972) at Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, she was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and was the daughter of the late Prof, and Mrs. William Grabau. Miss Grabau is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., today only, at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Morgan and William Streets, Tonawanda. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem United Church of Christ by the Rev. Karl H. A. Rest. Burial will be in Holy Rest Cemetery, Cheektowaga.     She lived in Niagara Falls for most of her life. She was employed at the Belleview Dress Shop for 35 years prior to retiring in May 1991. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz.
    Mrs. Mielke was the wife of Raymond Mielke, who died in 1965.
    She is survived by a son, Gary N. Mielke of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Dawn C. Glenn of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was the stepdaughter of the late Olga Bruss and sister of the late Ariel Greiner, Elfrieda Decker, Roland Bruss and Gerald Bruss.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. The Rev. David Menz will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz.

    Erna O. Mielke, 86, of 92nd Street, a retired employee of the Bellevue Dress Shop, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 1992) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
    A native of Columbia, Mich., the former Erna O. Bruss was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls. She worked at the dress shop for 35 years until she retired in 1991.
    Mrs. Mielke was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz.
    Surviving are a son, Gary N.; a daughter, Dawn C. Glenn; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz.

She was also a member of the Women of the Church and the Sanborn Fire Co. Auxiliary. She was a former media relations specialist at Occidental Chemical Corp. Mrs. Kroening is survived by her husband, Clyde R. Kroening; a son, Karl R. Kroening of Sanborn; a daughter, Candace L. Kroening of Lindsay, Ont.; her mother, Emma E. Bruss; a sister, Mrs. Hector (Donna) Machaby; and a brother, Lee Bruss of California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz.     Gary N. Mielke, age 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, beloved husband of Barbara (Milleville) Mielke, passed away on March 1, 2016 after a short illness.
    He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, filled with faith and trust in his savior Jesus Christ. A member of First Assembly where he served on the board as a Deacon. Gary served in the United States Navy and was President and owner of National Traffic Service for over 30 years.
    He was the father of Deborah Leavoy (Mielke), Douglas Mielke, and Dianne Mueller (Douglas); four grandchildren, Kristene DiMarco (Jordan), Jaclyn, Deanna, Katie and two great-grandchildren, Lorelai and Nico.

    Greinert served in the Army Signal Corps from 1961 to 1963 and was stationed in East Africa.
    He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, and was devoted to his dogs, according to his family.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Kathy D. Wade, and a brother, Roger J. of Grand Island.
