Letters testamentary on the estate
of Ernest F. Behm, of North Tonawanda,
who died Dec. 25 In Buffalo,
leaving $6,000 and upwards personal
property, were issued to Charles J.
Knoell, of Tonawanda. The estate
is left share alike to several children,
Mathilda Goodman, of Tona»anda,
Lilly Behnke, of Wheatfield, and William
P. Behm, address unknown. Another
daughter, Alvertne Strassburg,
mentioned In the will, preceded her
father In death, leaving as her heirs
two children, Harvey A. Strassburg,
of Kenmore, and Alice P. Bailey, of
Lockport.

Mrs. Strassburg Funeral
Funeral services for Mrs. Alvina Strassburg, age 44 years, were held at her late home. Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. and from the German Lutheran church, Ridgeway, at 2:30, the Rev. P. Stiebit, pastor of the church officiating. Interment was in Corwin cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Otto; one son, Harvey; one daughter, Alice: her father, Ernest Behn (sic) of North Tonawanda; two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Goodman of Tonawanda and Mrs. Alvin Behnke of North Tonawanda; and one brother, William Behn (sic) of Tonawanda.

Alvina married STRASSBURG, Otto August Carol Heinrich on 30 Apr 1903 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. TONAWANDA, Feb: 17
Mathilda A. Goodman, 65, of 79
Minerva street, died yesterday at
DeGraff Memorial hospital. Born
In Germany, she had resided 'in
Tonawanda for 60 years. Mrs.
Goodman was a member of the
Salem Evangelical and Reformed
church and its Ladies' Aid'society,
Dorcas society and Bible class.
Surviving are a son, Wallace
Goodman, three grandchildren and
a sister, Mrs. Alvln Behnke, all of
the Tonawandas.
Funeral services will he held tomorrow
at 1:30 pjn. In the Hillard
funeral home, 147 Delaware street,
and hour later at Salem church.
The Rev. Walter F. Hettel will officiate
and interment will be in
White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.

William Behm, 45, died this
morning at his home, 665 Oliver
street. He was born in St. Johnsburg
and had resided in this
vicinity all his life. He leaves a
wife, Mary; a daughter, Wilma;
a son, William J., and two sisters,
Mrs. Matilda Goodman and Mrs.
Alvin Behnke, all of the Tonawandas.
Rites will be held Sunday
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at
the residence. The Rev, Ernst
Schneppe will officiate. Burial
will be in Elmlawn.

Alice F. Bailey (Nee Strassburg) age 95 of Newfane, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born June 1, 1912 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Alvina (Behm) Strassburg. She married Clarence D. Bailey in 1930. He predeceased her on November 21, 1966. Alice worked for R.J. Reynolds/Nabisco for several years and retired in 1973. She loved gardening and bird watching. Mother of the late: William Bailey and The late Clarence O. Bailey. Mother-in-law of: Verna (Robert) Wesolowski of Gowanda and Mary Bailey of E. Amherst. She is survived by nine grandchildren: Arlene Smith of Appleton, David Bailey of Lockport, Barbara (Chris) Aikin of Sanborn, Gary Bailey of Appleton, Robert (Kathy) Bailey of Newfane, Pamela (Brian) Rakfeldt of Appleton, Carol Bailey of Buffalo, Thomas Bailey of East Amherst, and Michael (Tina) Bailey of East Amherst. Great grandmother of: Rebekah (Jon) Kepple, Aaron (Carrie) Smith, Kyle and Adam Bailey, Daniel and Megan Aikin, Zachary, Jarrett, Brittany and Jeremy Bailey and Alex and Katelyn Rakfeldt. She is also survived by 2 great-great grandchildren: Tyler Smith and Ian Kepple. Sister of the late: Harvey A., Norman A., and Clarence E. Strassburg. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from the funeral home with Deacon Kenneth L. Craig officiating. Interment will be in Corwin Cemetery. a brief illness.
Born in the Town of Wheat-
field,he had been a resident of
this area all his life. A veteran
of World War II, he was
employed at Continental Can
Company Inc., Corrugated Con-
tained Division, Shawnee Road,
for more than 20 years.
He was a member of St. Paul
Lutheran Church and the
Church Council. He also was a
member of the Rescue Fire
Company and the Firemen's
Benevolent Association.
Survivors include his wife.
Pearl (nee Mueller); two
daughters. Mrs. Thomas
(Sandra) Thompson of Carlisle.
Pa., and Miss Beth Behnke, at
home; a son. Jim Behnke. also
at home, and his mother. Mrs.
Lillian Behnke of North
Tonawanda.
