    LEWISTON - Lydia Carolina (Nemeschy) Schultz, 96, of Morgan Drive, died Wednesday (Feb. 8, 1995) at the home of her daughter in Lewiston.
    She was born on May 7, 1898, in Altamont, Ill., the daughter of Edward M. and Lydia (Wendt) Nemeschy. She moved to Niagara Falls at the turn of the century when her father assumed the position of pastor at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at Cleveland Avenue and 18th Street. She was a Lewiston resident for the past 25 years.
    Mrs. Schultz was a church organist at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was pleased to serve with her father. She was a lifelong member of the church and a caring homemaker who enjoyed and loved her family, relatives said.
    She was the widow of Ernest A. Schultz, who died in 1953. Her husband was in partnership with his brother at the former Schultz Brothers Groceries and Meats.
    Mrs. Schultz is survived by a son, the Rev. Edward E. Schultz of Annapolis, Md.; a daughter, Dorothy S. Ford of Lewiston; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was the sister of the late John F. Nemeschy, the Rev. Edward M. Nemeschy Jr., the Rev. Paul H. Nemeschy and Benjamin C. Nemeschy. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cornell & Daggett Chapel, 2215 Military Road

    Lydia C. Schultz, 96, died Wednesday (Feb. 8, 1995) after a brief illness in the home of her daughter, Dorothy Ford, with whom she lived.
    Born Lydia Nemeschy in Altamont, Ill., she moved to Niagara Falls at the turn of the century when her father, the Rev. Edward M. Nemeschy, became pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls.
    She lived in Lewiston for the past 25 years.
    A lifelong member of St. Paul Church, she served as organist for the congregation while her father was pastor.
    Her husband, Ernest A., died in 1953 after many years in partnership with his brother in the former Schultz Bros. Groceries & Meats at 18th Street and Pierce Avenue in Niagara Falls.
    In addition to her daughter, survivors include a son, the Rev. Edward E. of Annapolis, Md.; six grandchildren; and 10
    great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Church, Cleveland Avenue and 18th Street, Niagara Falls. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholtz.

    Dorothy (Schultz) Ford of Williamsville, NY died on October 2, 2018 shortly before her 89th birthday. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School and SUNY Buffalo State, where she studied to be a teacher.
    She lived most of her life in Lewiston, NY where she was an elementary school teacher for 25 years in the Lewiston Porter School System. She loved children and in turn was beloved by her students and their parents. In 1986, she was named Teacher of the Year for the district.
    She loved her family above all else and in turn was deeply loved and adored. She was a faithful woman and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Williamsville.
    She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Ford, her children, Lynn Ford-Somma (Joseph), Daniel Ford (Carolyn) and Timothy Ford (Rebecca), five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
    A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on October 13th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 68 Eagle St., Williamsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
    Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.
