GOERSS – Rufus H. Goerss, 68, of 979 Nash Rd., North Tonawanda, died Monday (Nov. 10, 1958) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Mr. Goerss had resided in North Tonawanda for more than 40 years. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in France with the U. S. Army. He had been employed at Buffalo Bolt Co. for 22 years.
Mr. Goerss was a member of St. Peter’s American Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Clara (nee Weinheimer); two daughters, Miss Violet C. Goerss and Mrs. Esslie Kraft; three brothers, Anton, Rudolph and Hubert Goerss, and two sisters, Miss Sophia and Miss Charlotte Goerss, all of North Tonawanda.
Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral Home Inc., 37 Adam St., Tonawanda, where services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday. The Rev. Merton L. Baseler will officiate. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Park
