    Town Line Road Resident Passes
    SANBORN, March 20.-Mrs. Augusta (sic), F. Werth died at her home, Town Line road, today. She was 74 years old. Mrs. Werth as the wife of August C. Werth. Besides the husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Schultz, of Sanborn. Mrs. Julius Greiner (sic) and Mrs. Benjamin Schulz, both of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Paul Plaster and Mrs. Fred Schultz, both of Niagara Falls; three sisters. Mrs. Henry Werth, and Miss Henrietta Goerss, both of Sanborn, and Mrs. Albert Klemer, of North Tonawanda, and 11 grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held from the family home on Sunday, March 22, at 2 p. m., and at 2:30 from St. Andrew's church at Pekin. Interment will be in Pekin cemetery. The Rev. Christian A. Schmidt will officiate. Mrs. Werth was a daughter of the late Justine Praker and John Goerss and was born in Bergholtz. She had resided in the Town Line road for over 20 years.

    The bearers included: Edward Wendt, William H. Wendt, William B. Wendt, John Schrader, Adolph Schraeder (sic) and William Strassburg, Rev. Christian A. Schmidt officiated. Interment was in St. Andrew's cemetery Pekin.

    Miss Henrietta Goerss, 75, died yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Henry Werth, in Sanborn. Born in Bergholz, Miss Goerss had resided in Lockport and Sanborn the greater part of her life. Besides her sister she is survived by several nieces and nephews, residing in Niagara county. Rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Werth residence. The Rev. H. Maier will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s cemetery, Pekin.

Mrs. Werth was a former resident of Townline Rd., Sanborn. Wife of the late Henry Werth, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 P.M. in the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., and at 2:30 P.M. in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Pekin, N. Y. The Rev.     city last Saturday for a visit

    7, 1882, in Bergholtz. Her husband

    deputy c i t y controller, who
    died in February 1959.
    Mrs. Plaster was active in
    the Trinity Lutheran Church
    and its Guild and Missionary
    League.
    Surviving are a daughter,
    Mrs. J a m e s W. Strasburg,
    Lewiston; four sisters, Mrs.
    Julius Greinert and Mrs. Benjamin
    Schulz, both of North
    Tonawanda; Mrs. R u d o l p h
    Schultz, Sanborn, and Mrs.
    Frederick G. S c h u l t z , this
    city; and three grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Cobler's
    Funeral Home, after 2
    p.m. Saturday.

    BARRINGTON, IL — Dorothy Elizabeth (Plaster) Strasburg was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Paul and Ella (Werth) Plaster on March 26, 1920, and went to heaven on August 6, 2012. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls. On June 5, 1942, she married James Strasburg. They had three children: Suzy (Steve) Hartman (Sioux Falls, SD), Steve (Debbie) Strasburg (Ann Arbor, MI), and Cindy (John) Koeneman (Inverness, IL). Also blessing her life are eight grandchildren: Steph (Mark) Boyens, Sara (Nathan) Unruh, Andrew, James and Rebecca Strasburg; David (Stephanie), Jeffrey and Michael Koeneman; and six great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Lincoln and Alexa Unruh; and Connor, Kate and Davis Boyens.

    Dot enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid golfer. She loved her Savior and was always involved in her churches' Bible studies, choir and serving opportunities. She was a founding member of Escarpment Lutheran Church (Lewiston, NY), and a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran (Barrington, IL), Redeemer Lutheran (Peoria, IL), and Immanuel Lutheran (Palatine, IL).

A beloved husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret ‘Jean’. His sons, Thomas (Candace) Schultz, Stephen (Jill) Schultz, and David (Stephanie) Schultz. 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born at Deaconess Hospital,Buffalo NY due to neonatal respiratory complications he wasn’t expected to live. While attending LaSalle High School, Wally served in the “Aircraft Warning Service” from late 1943 to early 1944. His observation post was a small hut located on top of the Sanborn Fire Hall. In August 1944, Wally enlisted in the Navy at the old post office building in downtown Buffalo, followed by Boot Camp at Sampson Naval Training Station atSeneca Lake, NY and a 12 week Radio School at Bainbridge MD. He served in thePacific Theater aboard the USS Arkansas BB33 and the USS Baldwin DD 624. In June1946, Wally returned to Niagara Falls, graduated from LaSalle High School andwent to work as a Mail Boy for American Salesbook Co. (later became MooreBusiness Forms). Spring 1947, he transferred to the NY National Guard and drilledat the Armory on Main Street. After his discharge from the National Guard, Wallygraduated from the Detroit College of Traffic Management and worked at Autolitewhere he met, then married the love of his life, Margaret Jean MacAllister.Following Autolite, he worked in the traffic departments at Hooker Chemical andThe Upson Company in Lockport. While at Upson, Wally was hired part-timeby Franklin Traffic Service (FTS) in Sanborn. After Upson closed he worked at FTS full time. Where he retired after working for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Niagara Falls. Wally enjoyed hunting with his family. In his later years if he shot a deer, over the two-way radio he’d say, “Boys I have work for you, but first, bring me a sandwich and beer”. He and Jean spent summers with family and friends at their homes in Saranac Lake and later on Lake Ontario. In his retirement Wally enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and a few weeklong fishing trips in Canada. He will be dearly missed but his legacy continues through his family.

    Betty J. Schultz, who served for many years as executive director of the local Meals on Wheels, died Sunday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was 84.
    She co-founded the Niagara Falls chapter in 1970 to serve meals to the elderly, working out of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church.
    Born in Niagara Falls, she attended Niagara Falls High School.
    She was a past board member of several volunteer agencies. In 1981, she received the Heart of Gold Award from the Gannett Foundation for her community service.
    Mrs. Schultz was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church, where she was active in the choir, Women of the Church and other activities.
    Survivors include a son, John, and a brother, Robert F.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1920 18th Street at Cleveland Avenue.

    Betty J. Schultz, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, October 29, 2006 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls, NY. Born on July 21,1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Hilda M. (Werth) Schultz. On May 29, 1946 she married Edward J. Schultz. He predeceased her in 1989. Mrs. Schultz was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. In 1970, Betty founded Meals on Wheels in Niagara Falls, NY where she served as Executive Director for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in choir, Women of the Church, and other activities. Mrs. Schultz held board positions on the boards of many volunteer agencies: Betty received several awards for her volunteer service, including the "Heart of Gold" Award for community service in 1981. Mrs. Schultz is survived by one son, John (Sandra) Schultz of Wheatfield, NY; two grandchildren, Edward Joshua (Michelle) Schultz of Spartanburg, Sc, and Amanda E. Robert was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls, where he served on various committees and choir member, a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1951-1953, and employed for many years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, as the payroll and accounts supervisor. He enjoyed playing the organ, and was an accomplished artist. Robert was predeceased by a sister, Betty (Edward) Schultz.
    Survivors include a nephew, John (Sandra) Schultz; great niece, Amanda (John) Jasper; and great nephew, E. Joshua (Michelle) Schultz.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (November 23) from 5-8 p.m. Services will be conducted on Saturday (November 24) at 2:30 p.m. in St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Cleveland Avenue and 18th. Street, with Deacon Judy Hoff, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
