Miss Mary W. Hermann, 22 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Hermann, died at her home at No. 346 Broad street at noon yesterday, after a lingering illness. Besides her parents, Miss Hermann is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Otto Zastrow of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Hugo Dornfeldt and the Misses Clara, Emma and Viola Hermann of Tonawanda, and four brothers, Edward Herman of Buffalo, and John, Charles and Alfred Hermann of Tonawanda. The funeral will be held from the late home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and a half hour later from the Emanuel Lutheran Church on Morgan street. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Mary was born in North Tonawanda, NY on May 15, 1931 to the late William and Louise (Broeker) Mueller. In 1953, she married J.P. Wyatt, who passed away in 1990. Mary was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and St. Andrew's Ladies Aid member. She enjoyed bird-watching, baking and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her six children, Mattie (Peter) Wallace, Betty (Charles) Johnson, William (Marcia) Wyatt, James Wyatt, Sr., Mary Jane (Donald) Guyette and Donna (Matthew Pisarski) Wyatt; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her loving sister, Ruth DeVantier of Sanborn, NY. She is predeceased by her brother, Arthur Mueller; and dear friend, Phyllis Stoelting.
Visitation will be held at DuBois Funeral Home, Niagara Falls on Sunday, November 6th from 1:00-5:00 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev R.P. Ruth E. DeVantier of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility.   She was born in  the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on November 4, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Louise [Broecker]  Mueller.
Mrs. DeVantier was a Tupperware dealer for over 40 years and  was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and gardening.
Mrs. DeVantier was the wife of the late Elmer A. DeVantier, who passed away in June of 2002.
She  was the mother of  Robert (Susan) DeVantier,  Susan (late William) Thompson and Sharon (Kenneth) Walker and the late Richard DeVantier, six grandchildren Rebecca Drabczk and Christina DeVantier, Michelle Thompson,  Jayme  (Paul) Mohr, Dan and Andrew Walker, two great grandchildren Sara and Sean, also many  nieces and nephews.
Mrs. DeVantier was the sister of a late brother and sister.
Her family will be present on Thursday  from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5983 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY.  Funeral Services will be held on   Friday  at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church,   3229 Upper Mountain Road, SANBORN, NY, with the Rev. Kurt D. Schultz officiating.

Arthur W. Mueller, of Sanborn, NY, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, Erie County, NY.
He was born in Wheatfield, NY on September 25, 1935, the son of William and Louise [Broecker] Mueller. Mr. Mueller attended St. Andrews Lutheran school and church , where he was a life long member. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea as tank commander, during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Mueller was employed with the International Paper County, the Continental Can Co. and as a loom operator with the Carborundum Co. , before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1434, in Hinsdale, NY and enjoyed woodworking and mentoring others.
Mr. Mueller is survived by his wife of 49 years Beulah H. [Bennion] Mueller, they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November, three sons Raymond W. (Nina) Mueller of the Town of Cambria, Arthur W. (Lisa) Mueller of the Town of Lewiston and Guy A. (Linda) Mueller of Lancaster, PA, one daughter Linda A. (Thomas) Lowe of Denver, CO, two sisters Ruth DeVantier of the Town of Cambria and Mary Wyatt of Pekin, he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held MONDAY at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin, with Rev. R. Peter Vogeler officiating. Arnold C. Goerss, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.

He was born in North Tonawanda, NY on December 11, 1933, the son of the late Carl and Margaret [Ingwersen] Goerss.

Mr. Goerss attended school at Wheatfield #1, St Paul's Lutheran and Trott Vocational High School. He operated the family farm in Sanborn and was a foreman for the New York State Department of Transportation for 34 years, before retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, the Pekin Fire Company and the Sanborn Historical Society. He enjoyed going to auctions and parades.

Mr. Goerss is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pearl [Kiser] Goerss, they were married on September 28, 1957, three sons, Stephen (Diane) Goerss of Lockport, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, and Arnold Goerss, Jr. of Sanborn, one daughter Susie (Charly) Kinne of Lockport, one sister, Arlene M. Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, nine grandchildren Jenni (Nick) Paterson, Holly, Sabrina, Nathan, Heather, Amy, Stacey, Timothy and Hayden, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of family at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Arlene M. Goerss, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Ingwersen) Goerss.
Miss Goerss was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. She had resided at Crestwood Health Care Center for the past several years, were she served as President of the Resident Council and volunteered for all types of events that took place there.
Miss Goerss is survived by her sister-in-law, Pearl Goerss; a niece, Susie (Charly) Kinne; three nephews, Stephen (Diane) Goerss, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss and Arnold Goerss, Jr.; also several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnold C. Goerss.

Nancy Flanders Young died on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Born on February26, 1929 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Gardei) Flanders. She lived in Lockport all of her life, graduated from Lockport High School class of 1946 and worked at the Niagara County National Bank/Marine Trust Company.Nancy was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) Mayflower Guild, She was a founding member and President of the Family Seminar Mothers Club, former President of the Better Gardens Club, two bowling leagues and several bridge clubs. She volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was also an avid reader.In 1950, she married Lauren Malcolm Young who died in 2006. A A A William L. "Bill" Flanders, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Venice, FL, on December 2, 2021. He was born on April 2, 1934 in Lockport, NY, to Howard C. and Lillian M. (Gardei) Flanders.
Bill was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1951, and Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) in 1958. He worked at Harrison Radiator division of General Motors Corporation as an Industrial Engineer from 1952-1991, after which he retired and moved to Venice in 1992. He was a Mason and member of the Red Jacket Lodge No. 646, and the American Legion. Bill was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed automobiles, vintage racing at Watkins Glen, and jazz music.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; daughter, Susan; son, David; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Nancy Young.
Services will be held in Lockport, NY, at the convenience of the family at a later date.
