    Witkop, 86, died today (Jan.
    20, 1965) at the home of his
    daughter, Mrs. Mildred
    Lorenz, at 170 Ellicott Creek
    Road.
    He was a member of St.
    Mark's Lutheran Church and
    the Luther Laymen's League.
    His wife, Mrs. Anna Grefrath
    Witkop died 24 years ago.
    Besides Mrs. Lorenz, he is
    survived by another daughter,
    Mrs. Clarence (Pearl) Moel-
    ler, North Tonawanda; four
    sons, Walter a., and Edwin
    H., both of Wilson, N.Y., How-
    ard H. and Martin E. Witkop
    both of the Town of Tona-
    wanda; 12 grandchildren and
    four great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call until 10
    a.m. Friday at the Frethold
    Funeral Home where services
    will be conducted at St.
    Mark's Lutheran Church at
    2:30 p.m. by Rev. Loren
    Shiley. Burial will be in St.
    Mathew's Lutheran Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA-Walter A. Witkop, 57, of
    1272 Sherwood Ave., died unexpectedly Monday (Dec.
    26, 1966) at his home after, suffering an apparent
    heart attack.
    He was born in Niagara
    Falls and had lived here for
    the last 50 years. He wat; employed
    at the former Buffalo
    Bolt Co. for, 34 years and
    for the last eight years at
    Remington Rand Corp.
    He was a member of the
    St. Mark's Lutheran Laymen's
    League and Remington
    Rand Social Club.
    Survivors include his wi-
    dow, the former Bernice Martin;
    two sisters, Mrs. Mildred
    Lorenz and Mrs. Clarence
    Moeller, and two borthers,
    Howard and Martin Witkop,
    all of the' Tonawandas.
    Services will be conducted
    at 1:30 p.m.. Wednesday at
    the Roth Funeral Home, Rev.
    Clarence W. Rabe officiating.
    Burial will he in St.
    Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

    WILSON—Erwin H. Witkop, 55, of 4186 E. Lake
    Road, died Thursday (Sept. 8, 1966) in the office of
    Dr. John Argue after suffering an apparent heart
    attack.
    Wilson Fire Co. No. 1 responded
    to a call from the
    office and attempted resuscitation
    for about 20 minutes
    but without success.
    Mr. Witkop was an employe
    of Bell Aerosystems'
    Wheatfield plant.
    He was born July 17, 1911,
    in Niagara Falls, the son
    of Albert H. and Anna Grefrath
    Witkop. He married
    the former Myrtha Schmidt
    in 1937. They made their
    home at the E. Lake Road
    since 1946.
    Mr. Witkop was a member
    of St. Peter's Lutheran
    Church, North Ridge, and
    was serving as an elder at the
    time of his death. He was a
    member of the board of directors
    of Camp Pioneer at
    Angola, a member of the
    Wilson Lions Club and of the
    Eldridge Bicycle Club, Tonawanda.
    In addition to his widow,
    survivors include two daugh-
    ters, Judith Witkop, at home,
    and Mrs. Brenda Fouts, Freeville,
    N.Y.; three sons, William
    A. Witkop, Scranton,
    Pa., Michael E. Witkop,
    Craig Air Force Base, Selma,
    Ala., and Bruce M. Witkop, at
    home; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred
    Lorenz, Tonawanda, and
    Mrs. Pearl Moeller, North
    Tonawanda; three brothers,
    Walter, Howard and Martin
    Witkop, all of North Tonawanda,
    and four grandchildren.
    Friends may call, starting
    tonight, at the Hamilton and
    Clark Funeral Chapel where
    the family will be present
    from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    Services will be conducted
    at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's
    Lutheran Church, North
    Ridge, by Rev. William
    Faust. Burial will be in St.
    Matthew's Cemetery, North
    Tonawanda.

(nee) Onofrio Witkop of North Tonawanda; father of Margaret LeCarney of Lockport, N Y.; grandfather of three grandchildren, and brother of Mildred Lorenz and Pear Moeller, both of North Tonawanda. Friends received by the family Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m and Sunday, 2-4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda, where services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev.     Born in North Tonawanda, he
    was employed by the Columbus
    McKinnon Corp. for the past
    11 years. He was an Army
    veteran of World War II and a
    member of St. Matthew's Lutheran
    Church and the Lutheran
    Laymen's League of the church.
    He is survived by his wife,
    the former Gladys Gable, at
    home; a son, Mark E.Witkop
    and a daughter, Carol Ann Witkop,
    both at home; two sisters,
    Mrs. Mildred Lorenz of Tonawanda
    and Mrs. Clarence Modler
    of North Tonawanda, and
    a brother, Howard H. Witkop of
    North Tonawanda.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 1:30 p.m. Monday at
    the Roth Funeral Home with
    the Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer

    25, of 629 Lake St., who
    died on Oct. 25 at Cam Ranh
    Bay Air Field,"Vietnam.
    The Defense Department notified
    his mother, Mrs. Erwin
    Witkop, of her son's death. He
    died of a fractured skull when
    the ejection scat of his F-4
    Phantom Jet malfunctioned
    during takeoff .
    Born May 18, 1943, LL Witkop
    was the son of Myrtha
    and Ernest Witkop. His father
    died in 1966.
    In 1966, the lieutenant graduated
    from Wilson Central
    School. He attended Concordia
    Junior College in Bronxville,
    and received his bachelor of
    arts degree in liberal arts from
    Valpariso University in 1965.
    He entered the Air Force in
    January, 1966, and attended
    Officers' Training School at
    Lackland Air Force Base.
    Texas. He was commissioned
    in May of 1967 and was recently
    awarded a medal for
    flying more than 20 missions
    over North Vietnam where he
    was stationed since May.
    He is survived by two sisters,
    Miss Judith Witkop of
    West Seneca and Mrs. Brcnda
    Fouts of Frecville, N.Y., and
    two brothers, William A. Witkop
    of Mountainlop, Pa., and
    Bruce Witkop, living at home.
    Also surviving are his grandmother,
    Mrs. Hedwig Schmidt
    of Sheboygan, Wis. and a
    grandfather, William Schmidt
    of Madera, Pa. Three nephews
    and nieces also survive.
    Friends may call at the
    Hamilton and Clark Funeral
    Chapel beginning today.
    Private services will be held
    at 2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial
    will be in St. Matthew Cemetery,
    North Tonawanda.
    The family requests that
    memorials be sent to Care or
    the Lutheran World Relief
    Agency
