KLINE - Louise M. (nee
Ziehm) Kline of North
Tonawanda, Friday, (Sept.
3, 1982) at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital, after a brief
illness.
Mrs. Kline was a
member of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church in North
Tonawanda, the Priscella
Guild of the church and
was a Gold Star Mother of
World War II. She was the
wife of the late Elroy W.
Kline and mother of the
late Lester E. Kline,
U.S.M.C.
She is survived by a
daughter Mrs. Wilbur
(Susie) Burkholder of Tonawanda,
two sons, Elroy
(Margaret) Kline Jr. of
Amherst and Howard
( L o r r a i n e ) Kline of
Cheektowaga. Also surviving
are a sister, Mrs.
Esther Shamrock of North
Tonawanda, a brother
Walter Ziehm of North
Tonawanda, 13 grandchildren,
six great grandchildren
and several nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on SUNDAY
only at the Hamp
Funeral Home Inc., Adam
and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda.
Funeral services
will be held at a time and
place to be announced.

The body of Cpl. Lester E. Kline,
son of Elroy W. and Louise Ziehm
Kline of 819 East Robinson St.,
who died fighting with the U. S.
Marines on Iwo Jima March 6,
1945, arrived this morning for reburial.
The body was taken to the
Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam
St.
The body will be taken to the
Kline home, where funeral services
will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday.
The Rev. Robert Hein of the
St. Peter's American Lutheran
Church will officiate and burial
will be in White Chapel Memorial
Park. Military honors will be conveyed
by Conrad F. Kania Detachment,
Marine Corps League,
with Commandant Harry Dorn in
charge.
The body w^s escorted to the
Tonawandas from Columbus, O.,
by Marine Sgt. Ware.
Besides his parents Cpl. Kline is
survived by two brothers, Elroy
Kline Jr. and Howard Kline, and
a sister, Mrs. William Burkholder,
all of the Tonawandas.

Obituary

Olive "Sue" L. Burkholder (Kline), age 99, of Tonawanda. Sue enjoyed bowling and loved being a member of her bowling league. She also enjoyed golfing from time to time. Sue had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time in and caring for her flower garden. She also hand made china dolls, gifting them to her family members.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Wilbur L. Burkholder, her daughter Patricia (Burkholder) Kerwin, and her grandson Lawrence Jones.  Survived by her sons William "Mike" (Colleen)  Burkholder, Mark (Katherin) Burkholder, Jeff (Mary) Burkholder. Loving Nana to Pam, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Steve, Michelle, Jayden. Also survived by many great-grandchildren. 
Friends and family are invited to gather for a committal service at White Chapel Cemetery, 3210 Niagara Falls Boulevard. Time and Date to be announced.
