Edward C. Becken, 70, of
221 First St., died on arrival
at Memorial Hospital Sunday
(April 26, 1964) after collapsing
at Falls and Third Streets
at 6:05 a.m.
He was given oxygen by a
fire department 1 n h a 1 a t o r
crew before he was rushed to
the hospital.
Born in Bergholtz, he was a
resident of this city for 50
years and retired in 1957 as a
cab driver. He had been emi
ployed by a number of cab
companies, the last one being
Brew's Taxi. Inc.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. Ross M. (Stella) Lymburner,
Lewiston; a brother,
Charles, of S a n b o r n ; and
three grandchildren. .
Funeral services will be
held at the Gridley Funeral
Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Carl A. Sammetinger officiating.
Interment will be in
Oakwood Cemetery.
