Walter J. Wurl, 69, of 1307 Pierce Ave. died in his home yesterday after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rescue Fire Company and the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Association. He is survived by his wife Ella, nee Schulz, a daughter, Mrs. Russell Foster, Lockport; a son, Lewis, Warm Springs, MT; three brothers, William and Gerhardt, North Tonawanda, Fred, Bergholz; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Burow, Hamburg, Mrs. Benjamin Toellner, Nashville, Mrs. Arthur Lorenz and Mrs. Edward Lebrenz, North Tonawanda. Services will be in the residence at 2 P.M. Wednesday. The Rev. Frederick A. Hinners will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
