Elvira Margaret [ Fedeler ] Haseley, entered into eternal rest and her heavenly home on Monday, November 11, 2002, at home surrounded by her loving husband and family at the age of 92 years.
She was born on March 12, 1910, the daughter of Frederick and Martha [ Gienapp ] Fedeler, in Colton, SD, at the age of six her family moved to Waverly, IA, where she attended parochial school and was confirmed on April 5, 1925. She attended Wartburg College in Waverly, graduating in 1930.
Mrs. Haseley moved to the Sanborn, NY, area in 1930, where she taught at the St. Peter's Lutheran School, from 1930 to 1935. She married her husband Harvey Haseley on June 29, 1935, and has helped run the family farm known as Power-View Farm, with her husband and family.
Mrs. Haseley was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore, where she was the church organist for 30 years.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Harvey Haseley; her children, Lois Burkhardt [ late Sam ] , of Lockport, Niagara County, NY; Helen Buerger [ William ] of Sanborn; Roy Haseley [ Eileen ] of Sanborn; Margaret Ewald [ Ralph ] of Ransomville; Howard Haseley [ late Linda ] of Sanborn; Karen Hicks [ Donald ] of Bluff City, TN; Nelson Haseley [ Barbara], of Sanborn; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; five sisters, Hilda Fedeler; Florence Fedeler; Martha Graeser [Virgil ]; Lorena Arns [ late Victor ] from Waverly, IA; Edna Polenz [ Donald ], of Sierra Vista; AZ; her sister-in-law Irma Haseley, of Sanborn; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman [ Wanda ] Fedeler.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 1 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, with the Rev. Bruce Gamache, officiating.
Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Florence Martha Fedeler, 95, of Waverly, Iowa, died peacefully at her home Wednesday morning, October 28, 2009 of natural causes. Florence, the daughter of Frederick and Martha (Gienapp) Fedeler, was born in the family home on January 23, 1914, in Colton, South Dakota, and was baptized there by Pastor Ferdinand Oberheu on February 11, 1914. When she was two years old, the family moved to Waverly, Iowa, to establish a home. Florence attended St. Paul's Christian Day School and the Wartburg Academy. She was confirmed on Palm Sunday, April 1, 1928, by Pastor Emil Rausch at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She assisted her parents with the work at home until she was employed as a housekeeper at various places in Waterloo. She was an employee of the Hinson Manufacturing Company for over 30 years until her retirement in 1979. Florence was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, a member of the Bethlehem Circle, a volunteer participant at Do Day, weekly folding of bulletins and newsletters at church and the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community. When her elderly ailing parents required assistance, she and her siblings provided care so they could remain in the family home until their deaths.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Elvira Haseley of Sanborn, New York, Martha Graeser of Waverly, Iowa, and one brother, Norman Fedeler, of Colton, South Dakota. Florence is survived by three sisters; Hilda Fedeler and Lorena Arns both of Waverly, Iowa; Edna Polenz of Sierra Vista, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Wanda Seger of Madison, South Dakota, also many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly, with Pastor Curt Schneider officiating. Private family burial will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Waverly. Public visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home in Waverly, 319-352-1187. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran School or the Cedar Valley Hospice.

WAVERLY - Martha Louise Graeser, 89, ofWaverly, died Thursday, July 19, at the Waverly Health Center of cancer. She was born March 26, 1918, in Waverly, daughter of Frederick J. and Martha B. Gienapp Fedeler. She married Virgil Graeser April 21, 1946, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1936 and then worked for Broadie Drug Store and also as a nurse's aide for St. Joseph's Hospital, Waverly. Mrs. Graeser farmed with her husband. Survived by her husband; a son, Dan (Mary) of Waverly; a daughter, Lois (Jeff) Stotler of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Hilda Fedeler and Florence Fedeler, both of Waverly, Edna (Don) Polenz of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Lorena Arns of Shell Rock. Preceded in death by: a sister, Elvira Haseley; and a brother, Norman Fedeler. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, both in Waverly. IOWA CITY, IA — Lois Margaret (Haseley) (Walck) Burkhardt, 75, went to be with the Lord, October 20, 2011. She was born to the late Harvey and Elvira Haseley, June 1, 1936, in Niagara Falls, NY.

Lois was a homemaker and worked as a social worker at the Lockport Senior Centre. Lois loved spending time with her family and was passionate about making a difference in their lives and investing in their futures. She was a kind, caring, unselfish person who was always thinking of others.

Lois is survived by her children, Kent Walck (Mary Lou) of Benezette, PA, Dale Walck of Wheatfield, NY, Janet Smith (Kerry) of Rockwall, TX, Marsha Johnston (Brian) of Cary, NC, Marlene Horvath (Scott) of Garland, TX, John Burkhardt (Donette) of Tonawanda, NY, and Darcy Renna of Tonawanda, NY. She also is survived by 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; many nieces, nephews and special relatives and friends. She was predeceased by Arnold Walck and Sam Burkhardt.

A memorial service to honor the life of Lois will be held at the Lockport Alliance Church (555 Davison Road, Lockport, NY) on Friday, October 28 at 4:00 PM. A private burial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the following charities close to Lois’s heart: Northwest Community Church Care Fund, 7712 Carpenter Fire Station Rd., Cary, NC 27519, or Dayspring Ministries Prayer Garden, 505 E. Howard N. Haseley of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY.
He was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on November 25, 1944, the son of Harvey H. and Elvira M. [Fedeler] Haseley. Mr. Haseley graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and attended the Graham Institute of Animal Medicine. He was employed with the American Breeders Services for many years.
Mr. Haseley along with his brother Nelson operated the Power View Farms in Sanborn. He was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, a board member of the Niagara County Milk Producer's (Wendt Dairy) and was also an avid hunter.
Mr. Haseley was the husband of the late Linda [Schultz] Haseley, who died in August of 1977.
He is survived by two daughters, Jamie L. (Edward) Lopez of Indianapolis, IN and Jill L. Haseley of Sanborn, two brothers, Roy (Eileen) Haseley and Nelson (Barbara) Haseley both of Sanborn, four sisters Lois (late Sam) Burkhardt of Winterhaven, FL, Helen (William) Buerger of Sanborn, Margaret (Ralph) Ewald of Ransomville and Karen (Donald) Hicks of Johnson City, TN, also survived by a special niece Jennifer (David) Anastasi, a grand niece Ava Vera Anastasi and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, from 7-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6188 Walmore Road, with Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Walmore.
