Richard "Dick" R. Hardy passed away on February 2, 2013, age 90, born in North Tonawanda, NY, son of the late Henry John and Viola (Pieper) Hardy. Survived by his beloved partner and constant companion, Gloria Lichorobic of North Tonawanda; husband of the late Letha (Thom) Hardy; husband of the late Minnie (Oliver Bray) Hardy; husband of the late Betty (Martin Minnie) Hardy; brother of the late LaVearn Hardy, the late Iverna Hardy, and Dorothy Hardy. Also survived by daughter, Iverna Vanessa (Dale) Newsom of Oklahoma City, OK; step-daughters, Judith Simmons of Knoxville, TN and Nancy Bray of Amherst, NY; and step-son, Ward Bray of Amherst, NY; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hardy served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, landing at Omaha Beach on D-Day and serving in the European campaign. Mr. Hardy served his community for many years in the Delaware Hose Volunteer Fire Company, Tonawanda. Dick was a retired welder and truck driver, having become well-known across town while working many years for Century Auto Parts.

Beloved mother of Janet (Paul) Prosser of Lockport, Karen (William) Wolf of Rochester, Connie (Terry) Burgess of North Tonawanda, and Gary (Vicki) Pohlman of North Tonawanda. Grandmother of Tammy (Robert) Stencel, Mark (Bethany) Burgess, Gregory (Tracy) Burgess, and Renee (Paul) D'Angelo, Brian (Allison) Wolf and Jamie (Arnold) Evans, Matthew and Valerie Pohlman; great-grandmother of Ashley Stencel, Brendan, Alyssa and Anthony Burgess, Zachary Evans. James Jon Pieper, age 85, of North Tonawanda, passed away Tuesday evening August 6, 2019 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Jim was born on July 17, 1934 in Wheatfield. He was the youngest child of Arthur and Ruth (nee Grawe). He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda graduating from the North Tonawanda High School in 1953. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Niagara Aerospace Museum and the Vintage Aircraft Group, American Legion, Sikora Post 1322, and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Retired from Durez in 1980 after 31 years. 
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Diane (nee Wescott); two sons Timothy of Melbourne, FL and David (Cathy) of Fairview Heights, IL; one daughter Lynda (Paul) Schultz of Grand Island, NY; five grandchildren, Jonathan & Jenna Pieper, and Emma, Laura, & Rebecca Schultz; one sister-in-law Larene (Hall) Pieper, one-brother-in-law, Arthur (Chun) Wescott, and many nieces and nephews. 
Jim is predeceased by his parents and five sisters, Doris (Kenneth) Barnes, Betty (Clifford) Pohlman, Norma (Frank) Fill, Ruby (Franklin) Brosius, Marylin (Lloyd)(Kenneth) Brosius-Kerlin, and one brother, Robert Pieper.
