Herman Rietsch, 72, died early last evening at his home 164 Stenzel St. following a brief illness. he is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Albert Beutel, and one sister, Mrs. William Schultz, also of St. Johnsburg. He was born in Germany and came to this county, 42 years ago. He had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the past 10 years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday afternoon and at 2:30 from St. Mark's Church. Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate and burial will be made in St. Johnsburg cemetery.

BEUTEL - Mrs. Elvina W. Beu-
tel, 82, (nee Rietsch) at her home,
Krueger Rd., Town of Wheatfield,
Saturday morning (May 5, 1956).
She was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church, the aldies Aid
Society and the Auxiliary of the
Adams Fire Company. She was
the wife of Albert Beutel and the
mother of Herbert Beutel and Mrs.
Daniel Whitcher, all of the Town
of Wheatfield. Also surviving are
five grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren. Friends may call
at the residence where services
will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the
Rev. Walter J. Thiemecke offici-
ating. Burial will be in St. John's
Lutheran Cemetery under the di-
rection of Fretthold Funeral Home.

Robert Whitcher, 50, of 298
Rumbold Ave., died unexpectedly
Thursday (Oct. 12,
1972) at his residence of an
apparent heart attack.
Born in Lockport, he lived in
this city for 48 years.
He was employed by the
Spaulding Fiber Co, of this city
and was a 25-Year Spaulding
Club member and also a
member of the Friedens United
Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow,
June (Zebulske) Whitcher his
mother, Mrs. Daniel (Beutel)
Whitcher of this city; two sons,
Gary of Pottsville, Pa., and
Timothy of this city, and
a brother, Orville, of Temple
City, Calif.
Funeral services will be held
at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Wattengel Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Howard F. Cramer Jr.
officiating. Burial will be in
White Chapel Memorial Park.

James H. Beutel, 45, a former
University of Georgia football
coach and a native North
Tonawandan, died yesterday at
Mount St. Mary's Hospital in
Lewiston.
A physical education graduate
of the University of Tennessee,
Mr. Beutel coached football in
Louden, Tenn., and Savannah,
Ga, in addition to the University
of Georgia.
He returned north 17 years
ago and resided in Niagara Falls
until nine years ago, when he
and his wife, Lauretta
LeBrasseur Beutel, moved to
their present home at 2550
Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn.
Mr. Beutel had been employed
as a driver for United Parcel
Service for the past nine years.
Besides his wife, he is survived
by a son, James M.; his
mother, Mrs. Josephine Beutel,
and a sister, Mrs. Maxine
Warner, both of North
Tonawanda, and several nieces
and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday from Zajac Funeral
Home, 319 24th St., Niagara
Falls. Burial will be in Gate of
Heaven Cemetery, Niagara
Falls.
