ROCHESTER — Patricia Ann Cantara, 60 years old, died June 23, 2011, in Rochester, while under the care of Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls on April 6, 1951, the daughter of Genevieve and the late Leonard Cantara.

Pattie attended St. Theresa’s Parochial School, Madonna High School, D’Youville College and Niagara University. She was a well-known, respected and loved educator in both the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and the Niagara Falls Public School System, until her disability retirement.

In addition to her mother, Genevieve, Pattie is also survived by her sister, Marcia Cantara and her children, Loc Tran (Tracy), Vi Au (Bac), David Nguyen (Donna Kenny), Paul Gadawski and Tim Gadawski, and their father, Robert Gadawski. Pattie is survived by her life partner, Ronald Damrath and his sons, Donald and David Damrath; her loving grandchildren, Tianna, Lianna, Katie and Philip; many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her loyal companion, Tasha.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 10:30 AM, at the Historic Holy Trinity Church, 1419 Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Preservation Fund. Local arrangements by the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
