Wilson, Oct. 28.-William Demmin,
70 years old, died from a stroke of
apoplexy Friday, Oct 23. He was
found dead in the barn at his home
In the town ot Wilson.
He was born in Germany and came
to this country at the age of 17
years, where ho has been a resident
of Wilson since that time. He Is survived
by two daughters, Mrs. Charles
Hellman of Ransomville, Mrs. Amlel
Schults ot Cambria; five sons, William
of Lewiston, Lewis of WHson,
John of Ransomville, Hermon of Wilson,
and Alfred of Newfane, and fifteen
grandchildren.
The funeral was held from tbe
home of Amiel Schultz of Cambria,
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev.
John P. Barkow, pastor of the North
Ridge Lutheran church, of which Mr.
Demmin was a member, officiating.
The burial was at North Ridge cemetery.

August C. Demmin, 74, of 147 Lincoln avenue, died yesterday afternoon at his home. Born in Germany, Mr. Demmin had lived in North Tonawanda for sixty years and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Helen L.; two daughters, Miss Viola Demmin and Mrs. Edward F. Dielmier and a grandson, all of the Tonawandas. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver street, the Rev. Robert F. Hein officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

251 Payne Ave., a former city
alderman, died Tuesday (Sept.
24, 1963) at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a lifelong resident
of this city and a charter member
of Grace Lutheran Church
and a member of the official
board of St. John's Home for
Children in Buffalo.
Mr. Lindhurst, a letter carrier
here for 40 years, retired
in 1951.
He was a longtime member
of the National Association of
Letter Carriers and also a
member of the National Association
of Retired Civil Service
Employes. He was a member
of Columbia Hook and
Ladder Co. No 1, North Tonawanda
Firemen's Benevolent
Association and the Junior
Order of United American
Mechanics.
Survivors include his widow,
Florence Strassel Lindhurst;
a son, Kenneth Lindhurst;
two daughters, Mrs. Louis
Ri c h e r t and Mrs. Albert
Krueger; two sisters, Mrs. Edward
Doody and Mrs. Nelson
Forsyth, and nine grandchildren
all of this city.

Jeanette F. (Lindhurst) Krueger, age 85, of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, died peacefully on February 13, 2009. Jeanette was born February 7, 1924 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. She graduated from North Tonawanda High School, Class of 1941. She is survived by her beloved husband, Albert H. Krueger, Jr.; mother of the late Kathy Ann Krueger, Sandra (Joseph) Wawrzynek of Raleigh, NC, Debra Krueger of Lima, NY and Albert (Monica) Krueger of West Seneca, NY. She is also survived by several grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews.Jeanette was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and served in many roles including Past President of the Church Council, member of the Altar Guild and attended Bible Study for many years. Jeanette was the Executive Secretary for K-D Supply for over 22 years. She was a charter member of the Meadow Elementary School PTA, serving as President for a few years. She was a Life Member of the New York State Congress of Parents and Teachers. She was also an active member of the DeGraff Auxiliary.Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, February 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM. The family gratefully declines flowers.
