died today (Feb. 11, 1959) at
De Graff Memorial Hospital
after a long illness.
A life-long resident of this
city, she was a member of Ascension
Church, Nurses' Assn.,
DeGraff Hospital Auxiliary
and Mt. St. Mary's Mothers
Circle.
She is survived by her husband,
Michael J. Susty, Wel-
fare Commissionei of this city;
a daughter, Miss Sara Susty;
her mother, Mrs. Sarah Snowman,
both of this city; four
brothers, Raymond Swansfeger,
Dayton, Ohio, and Howard
Swansfeger, Fort Meyers, Fla.;
Edward and Allen Snowman,
both of this city; and a sister,
Mrs. Henry Betz, this city.
Prayers will be said at 8:30
a.m. Saturday at the Wattengel
Funeral Home followed by
a Requiem Mass at 9 o'clock
at Ascension Church. Burial
will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

American Legion, and escorted to

Funeral services will be Held at
the Snowman resldencs Wednesday
at 2 pm, with the Rev. Walter
F. Hetzel, of the Salem Evangelical

Jane A. (nee Snowman) Betz Proefrock, age 84, of Tonawanda, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 14, 2009. Born in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Snowman and had been employed at the Federal Reserve Bank in Buffalo before retiring. A lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, Mrs. Proefrock was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. She was the wife of the late Henry F. Betz, who died in 1980.She is survived by her husband, Francis H. Proefrock; two daughters, Marie (Thomas) Bozzard and Diane (George) Kunkel; and six step-children, Sharon Razzani, Ronald Proefrock, Barbara Ritchie, Joy Bastine, Jacqueline McGinity and Nancy Pieper. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Elmlawn Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Salem Church or the Town of Tonawanda Paramedics Foundation are preferred by the family. CITY OF TONAWANDA — Edward R. Snowman, Jr., age 61, of the City of Tonawanda, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Buffalo. Born in Buffalo, NY, he had been a resident of the Tonawandas' for the greater part of his life, and was the son of the late Edward R. Snowman, Sr.; and brother of the late Carol Driscoll. Mr. Snowman was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a self-employed oil painter and also worked as a Graphic Designer.

He is survived by his wife, Allison (Ostrom) Snowman; four children, Andra Craven of San Diego, CA, Vera Snowman and John Snowman, both of the City of Tonawanda and PV 2 Christian Snowman, serving out of Fort Lewis, WA; his mother, Jeanne (Booth) Snowman of the Town of Tonawanda; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20th from 9-10 AM at the Sunrise Chapel Mausoleum in Elmlawn Cemetery, 3939 Delaware Ave., in the Town of Tonawanda, where Funeral and Committal Services will be conducted at 10 AM. Arrangements by John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc.
