    George A. Witkop of 2939
    Carmen Road, Middleport,
    died Saturday at Niagara Falls
    Memorial Medical Center
    after a long illness.
    He was born in Bergholtz,
    the son of August and Bertha
    (Werth) Witkop. He was
    employed at Harrison
    Radiator for several years. He
    had lived in Middleport for the
    past 30 years and was a
    member of S t John's Lutheran
    Church, Lyndonville.
    Surviving are his wife, Ethel
    (Latta) Witkop; two stepson,
    Carl Latta of Michigan, Jack
    Latta of Texas; one stepdaughter,
    Mrs. Bradford
    (Mary Lou) Pease of Lockport;
    10 grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter;
    one brother,
    Robert Witkop of Lockport;
    one sister, Mrs. Caroline Cook
    of Newfane, and several
    nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Funeral services were held
    today at 11 a.m. at the St.
    John's Lutheran Church,
    Lyndonville, with the Rev.
    Clarence Elliott officiating.
    Burial was in Harttand Central
    Cemetery.
    Memorial gifts to the
    American Cancer Society
    would be appreciated by the
    family.
    Arrangements were made
    by Bates, Wallace and Heath
    Funeral Home Inc., 38 State
    St., Middleport.
