    Foreman at Lumber Plant Dies
    William C. Schoenfedt, 91, formerly of 132 Hagan Ave., died Saturday evening (July 29, 1961) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a foreman in various lumber mills in this city for the greater part of his life. Later, he was employed as a custodian in the city schools system prior to retiring in 1946. Mr. Schoenfeldt was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Electric City Lodge No. 663, IOOF, and of the Golden-Age Club. He was a native of Germany, but had lived in this city 90 years. His wife, the former Mary Westphal, died in June 1951. Surviving are a son, Alfred F. Schoenfeldt, this city; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Heinback, Tonawanda; eight grand-children and 15 great-grand-children. The funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Hamp Funeral Home by Rev. Burton L. Baseler. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park. Odd Fellows will conduct a service at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Schoenfeldt was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and was former assistant superintendent of the Buffalo Bolt Company. He was a World War I Army veteran and life member of Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Hulda M. (nee Kumm) Schoenfeldt, one sister, Mrs. Thomas (Viola) Heimback of Tonawanda and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev.     H. E. Schoenfeldt, Elder of Church, Dies in Hospital
    Funeral services for Herbert E. Schoenfeldt, 57, of 102 Rumbold Ave., Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. dealer representative, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Brunner Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities, Mr. Schoenfeldt died yesterday of a heart ailment at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. The Rev. M. L. Baseler will officiate at the services and burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Schoenfeldt was an elder and treasurer of St. Peter's American Lutheran Church. Just last Wednesday, the Niagara Mohawk organization promoted Mr. Schoenfeldt to the post of dealer representative serving the Twin Cities and Niagara Falls area. He had been employed by the corporation since Aug. 26, 1930 serving first as a district representative. In December 1940, he entered the Twin Cities office of Niagara Mohawk as a salesman, becoming customer service representative in March 1945. Active in the Lions Club of the Tonawandas, Mr. Schoenfeldt formerly served the club as a director and as secretary-treasurer. He was also member of the Electrical Workers Local 1352-AFL. Mr. Schoenfeldt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Knoell Schoenfeldt; his son, James, his father William; a brother, Alfred Schoenfeldt, and a sister, Mrs. Viola Heimbeck. all of the Twin Cities. Two grandchildren also survive.

    James H. Schoenfeldt, age 91, of North Tonawanda at the New York State Veterans Home at Batavia, on January 22, 2015 after a long illness. Jim was a member of North Presbyterian Church where he was a former Elder and Trustee. He worked at Van Raalte as a Chemist and later retired from the Hooker Chemical/Occidental Petroleum Corp. where he was a Project Engineer for many years. Jim was a World War II U.S. Army and Army Air Corps Veteran. He served in the European Theater and Patton’s 3rd Army. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart. After the war, he attended Canisius College graduating in 1950 with a B.S. in Chemistry. Son of the late Herbert E. and Ruth Schoenfeldt. Husband of the late Dorothy (nee Nicholson) Schoenfeldt and father of the late David J. Schoenfeldt.

    Beloved father of Beth (William) Exton of Perry, NY, Paul (Althea) Schoenfeldt of Richardson, TX and father-in-law of Laurie Schoenfeldt. Proud grandfather of six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Friends received by the family on Monday February 2, 2015 4-7 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at 11:00 at the North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Avenue, No. Tonawanda. Private interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery.

    Jim treasured his family and was an attentive son, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He deeply valued his faithful friends. He was a gentle, tender man and readily offered a smile to all. He appreciated nature and had a lifelong love for fishing and his special Canadian Lakes. The family requests that memorials be made to either the North Presbyterian Church, Wounded Warrior Project or the American Lung Association.

    Brent Timothy Heimback, Sr., age 81, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 22, 2015 at his residence. Brent was born in North Tonawanda, New York. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 29 years after moving from Hamburg, New York with his family.

    He was the loving son of the late Thomas and Viola Heimback of Tonawanda and the brother of the late Ronald (Shirley) Heimback, the late Bruce Heimback and the late Janice (Warren) Heldwein. He was also predeceased in death by his loving wife, Eleanor Heimback, and his son, Mark Heimback.

    He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lynn Heimback Bridges of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Brent Heimback, Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Douglas (Leslie) Heimback of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Jeffery (Janet) Heimback of Fayetteville, Georgia; and two brothers, Dr. Dennis (Rosemary) Heimback and John (Donna) Heimback, both of Amherst, New York. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port St. Lucie, Florida. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, Florida.

    Contributions in Brent's name may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SW Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.

    LOCKPORT — David J. Schoenfeldt, age 54, of the Town of Lockport, suddenly at the Erie County Medical Center on Sunday, June 5, 2011. David worked for the Lockport Union Sun and Journal in the Advertising Department. An avid Buffalo sports enthusiast, his favorite times were spent with friends and family enjoying the games. Loving caretaker of his father, James Schoenfeldt (the late Dorothy).

    Loving husband of Laurie (nee Powell) Schoenfeldt of Lockport. Proud and loving father of Philip and Haley Schoenfeldt. Dear brother of Beth (William) Exton of Perry and Paul (Althea) Schoenfeldt of Richardson, TX. Also surviving are four nieces, a great-nephew and a great-niece.

    Friends received by the family on Wednesday from 5-9 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Park will be private. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
