    Old Resident of Walmore Passes
    NORTH TONAWANDA, July 9.-Mrs. Elizabeth Jagow, 79 years old, died today at her home, Lockport road, Walmore. Her death followed several paralytic strokes, the last of which she suffered three weeks ago.
    Mrs. Jagow was born in Germany and came to this country when a child, with her parents. She had resided in the house where she died for the past 65 years. In former years she was active in church work at Walmore. She is survived by her husband, Frederick Jagow; three daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Ratzlaff (sic) and Miss Emma and Miss Elizabeth Jagow; four sons, Edward, Albert, Frederick, Jr., and John Jagow, and 13 grandchildren, all of Walmore, and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Siegmann, of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Frank Crego. of Lockport. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from St. John's church at St. Johnsburg. The Rev. Walter Thiemecke will officiate.

    A. F. Jagow Dies at 82, ill 7 Months
    SANBORN-Albert F. Jagow, 82, well-known Niagara County farmer, died Friday, (Oct. 11, 1963) at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital, He had been in ill health for about seven months.
    Born in the Town of Cambria, Nov. 20, 1880, he was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Domrow (sic) Jagow. He had owned and operated a farm. in the Ward Road, this community, for 55 years.
    He was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
    Surviving are his wife, Elsie Retzlaff Jagow; a son, Herbert A. Jagow; two daughters~ Mrs. Albert Pfohl (sic) and Miss Mildred Jagow, all of' this community; a brother Fred Jagow; and a sister, Miss Emma Jagow, both of East Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home, Hoover Road, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday followed by services, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald. G. Rehkopf officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

    Dies at Wheatfield
    NORTH TONAWANDA, Feb. 12.-Walter F. Jagow, 44, lifelong resident of Wheatfield, died yesterday at his home in the Lockport road. He suffered a paralytic stroke a week ago. He is survived by his wife Lydia Jagow; two sons, Leroy and Laverne; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Jagow, of Wheatfield; four brothers, Edward, of Niagara Falls, Albert, of Sanborn, Fred, Jr.. and John, both of Cleveland, OH, and three sisters, Emma and Elizabeth Jagow, of Cleveland, and Mrs, Rudolph Retzloff (sic), of Wheatfield. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p. m. from the home and 2:30 from St. John's church. St. Johnsburg. Interment will be in St. John's cemetery.

    Clarence H. “"Dutch"” Jagow, age 85, entered into rest on Friday January 23, 2004 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness. Born September 14, 1918 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, son of the late Edward N. and Elizabeth (Wienke) Jagow.
    Mr. Jagow served as a Sargent in the Army Air Force enlisting in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. Clarence served as a City of Niagara Falls Firefighter for 28 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Jagow was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family and friends, he especially enjoyed camping and fishing in the Finger Lakes.
    Mr. Jagow was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Edward and Harold Jagow.
    He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow, his children Beverly Parise of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo of Lewiston, and Richard (Rosalind) Jagow of Youngstown; a sister, Elinor Murtaugh. Clarence is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny and Kendra LaBernardo, Richard and Justin Jagow and many nieces and nephews.
    Clarence chose to donate his body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. Private Funeral Services held at the convenience of the family. Born on October 18, 1919 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Wienke) Jagow.

    Mrs. Murtaugh was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Elinor attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For 42 years, she was employed by the Carborundum Company. Mrs. Murtaugh was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Elinor enjoyed traveling and going to lunch with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.


    Mrs. Murtaugh was predeceased by her husband, William Murtaugh on April 8, 1975 and four brothers, Howard, Edward, Clarence (Dorothy of Niagara Falls, NY) and Harold Jagow. Elinor is survived by nieces and nephews, Ronald (Linda) Jagow, James Jagow, Beverly (Joseph) Scalzo, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo, Robert Jagow, Richard (Rosalind) Jagow and Nancy (Donald) Olivero and many other nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.



    Private visitation and funeral services will be held in Our Savior Lutheran Church. Private interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.     Jagow, 71, of Dana Drive died Thursday (Aug. 12, 1993) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
    A native of Niagara Falls, Jagow worked at the former Bell Aircraft Co. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He later worked at Carborundum in Wheatfield for 40 years and was associated with the former Varsity Sports Shop in Pine Plaza for 30 years.
    Jagow was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Escarpment, where he was a former deacon, trustee and financial secretary. He was a member of the Protestant Church Men's Bowling League, the Retired Men's Golf League and the Carborundum Alumni Association.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Milotta; a brother, Clarence Jagow; and a sister, Elinor Murtaugh, both of Niagara Falls.

    WHEATFIELD - Gertrude E. Pfuhl, 86, of Wendt Drive, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 1997) at home. She was born July 31, 1910, in Wheatfield, the daughter of Albert and Elsie (Retzlaff) Jagow.
    Mrs. Pfuhl retired from housekeeping with the Niagara-Wheatfield School District. She was a lifelong and active member of SI. Peter's Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens. Mrs. Pfuhl enjoyed gardening, flowers and family life.
    She was the widow of Albert N. Pfuhl, who died in 1975. They were married April 22, 1934. She is survived by a son, Herbert C. Pfuhl of Webster; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was the mother of the late Clifford Pfuhl, and sister of the late Mildred Jagow and Herbert Jagow. She also was predeceased by a grandson.
    Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. Allen Griep will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Entrance Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

    Miss Jagow Dies at 53
    SANBORN-Mildred E. Jagow, 53, of 6245 Ward Road, Sanborn, died Sunday (Aug. 29, 1965) in Niagara Falls following a lengthy illness.
    Miss Jagow was born in Sanborn in 1912, the daughter of Mrs. Elsie Jagow and the late Albert Jagow. She made her home at the family residence in Ward Road all of her life.
    She was a life-long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, N.Y.
    Besides her mother, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Albert (Gertrude) Pfohl (sic), Niagara Falls; a brother, Herbert Jagow, Sanborn, and five nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Sanborn, and a life member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore. He was a former member of the church council, serving as elder and trustee. He operated a farm at Ward and Lockport roads until 1960, and was employed by Beecher Brothers prior to becoming a custodian at Niagara-Wheatfield Central School in 1972. He was an exempt member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. and a former member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Band; He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Haseley) Jagow; three sons, James Jagow of Atlanta, Ga., Herbert A. Jagow Jr. of Yuma, Ariz., and Roger Jagow of Wauwatosa, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Pfuhl of this city; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Wayne F. Jagow officiating. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. The Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. will hold memorial services at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Church, the family said.

    Ruth Amalie Emma Walck, 81, of Saunders Settlement Road, who had operated a family farm and sold produce at the Niagara Falls city market for many years, died at her residence Tuesday (May 7, 1996).
    The former Ruth Retzlaff was born in Wheatfield.
    She was an active, longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, where she was baptized, confirmed and married, all by the same minister, the Rev. Edward Grabau. She belonged to the Women of the Church group.
    Mrs. Walck also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens.
    She and her husband, Irwin E., who died in 1966, operated the family farm together.
    Survivors include a son, Glenn; two daughters, Fay Poli of Pendleton and Nancy Dzialak; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road.

    SANBORN - Ruth Amalie Emma (Retzlaff) Walck, 81, of Sanders Settlement Road, died May 7, 1996, at her residence.
    She was born in Wheatfield on June 8, 1914, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Jagow) Retzlaff. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, she was baptized June 21, 1914, confirmed April 1, 1928, and was married to Irwin E. Walck on Oct 3, 1937, all be the Rev. Edward Grabau at the church. Mr. Walck died Sept. 27, 1966.
    An active church member, she belonged to the Women of the Church group. She was also a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and did volunteer work at local nursing homes. Mrs. Walck enjoyed family life and gardening.
    She and her husband operated the family farm and sold produce to the Niagara Falls City Market for several years.
    She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Dzialak of Sanborn and Fay Poli of Pendleton; a son Glenn Walck of Sanborn; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
    She was the sister off the late Lillian Walck.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    The Rev. Allen Griep conducted services Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Entrance Fund or to St. Peter's Lutheran School. Arrangements were made by DuBois Funeral Home, Bergholz.

    SANBORN - Lillian M. Walck, 61, of 2251 Lockport Road died Wednesday (April 26, 1978) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
    She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn and had been an active member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    She and her husband, Howard E. Walck, were the former operators of Walck's Farm Diary in Niagara Falls.
    In addition to her husband survivors include three sons, Howard C. Walck and Douglas Walck, both of Niagara Falls, and Dennis Walck of Sanborn, one sister, Mrs. Irwin (Ruth) Walck of Sanborn and four grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at SI. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Horne, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the family said.

    Richard B. Jagow, 60, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow of Lewiston, and the late Clarence Jagow.

    Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He later attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Richard has been a resident of Youngstown for the past 34 years. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls for seven years, and for the past twenty nine years he worked as a Process Supervisor at DuPont Chemical Co. in Tonawanda. Richard was a member of the Greater Niagara Falls Church of God. He was a passionate motorcyclist and member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Richard was an avid reader particularly of history. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, baking and cooking. Richard was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved vacationing in Florida and spending time with his boxer dog, Beau. Most of all Richard will be remembered as kind, caring, warm hearted individual who was loved by all who knew him.

    In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years Rosalind (Marangine) Jagow; four children, Richard Jagow, II, Justin (Jarrod Atkinson) Jagow, Diana Butinski and Salina Talla; two sisters, Barbara (Dan) Labernardo and Beverly (Joe) Scalzo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
