Robert L. Schuler  of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019, in Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice.   He was born in the Town of Cambria on June 14. 1926, the son of the late Arthur and Mary [Benthin] Schuler.
Mr. Schuler graduated from Trott Vocational High School and served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theater. 
He had worked at Wurlitzer and later with A E Gombert Lumber Company in North Tonawanda for 50 years.
Mr. Schuler was a member of Wood carvers and enjoyed camping.
He was the husband of the late Dolores [Haseley] Schuler, who passed away in May of 1996.
Mr. Schuler is survived by one son Daniel Schuler, two daughters Shirley Schuler and Linda (Daniel) Nye, two grandchildren Greg (Kim) Nye and Jennifer (Tom) Wrate, five great grandchildren Tyler, Christopher, Kelsey, Owen and Collin, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Harold,Carl, Arthur and John Schuler and Dora Johnston.
His family will be present on Monday  from 4-8 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME,  5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM
with Pastor Ernest Green III officiating.
Memorials may be made in his name to St. Paul Lutheran Church Campaign Fund and Niagara Hospice. 
Interment with Military Honors in St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, Pekin, NY.

LOCKPORT - Arthur Schuler passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011. Born May 5, 1927, in Cambria, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Benthin Schuler. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 34 years, retiring in 1980. Arthur was a member of the I.O.O.B. and the Redman Club. He enjoyed attending auctions, was an avid antique collector, playing the lottery, sulky horse races and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Hellert Schuler.

Arthur was the father of Susan (Doug) Hesch of Newfane and stepfather of Barbara Minervino of Georgia and Thomas Bauer of Florida. He is also survived by his grandson, Devin Hesch and stepgrandfather of Brandi Hesch-Condren, Renee Hasenfelt and Shere Bauer. Arthur was the brother of Dora Johnston of Ransomville, Robert Schuler of Cambria and the late John and Harold Schuler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

Dora M. Johnston, age 88 of Ransomville, died Wednesday December 6, 2017 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston after a brief illness.
Dora was born, June 16, 1929 in Sanborn, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Marie (Benthin) Schuler. On January 25, 1956 she married John R. Johnston and they lived in Youngstown for many years. Dora worked as a chambermaid at the Portage House Motel in Lewiston for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Dora was an avid bowler and was involved with all her children's and grandchildren's activities.
Her husband, John, predeceased her in 1987. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Wayne) Pollow of Ransomville, Duffy (Tammy) Johnston of Youngstown, and Cindy (Dieter) Zahn of North Tonawanda; her grandchildren, Courtney (Albert) Zimmerman, Brittany (Shaun) Kiely, Nicole and Matthew Zahn, and Riley Johnston; her great grandchildren, Harper and Hunter Zimmerman, and Olivia Kiely; a brother, Robert (late Dolores) Schuler of Sanborn, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Harold, and Arthur Schuler.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Stewart officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131 or to the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville.
