OLD RESIDENT OF MAPLETON DIES
Mapleton - April 12. Mrs. Minnie Voelker Bischkopf age 76 wife of Charles Bischkopf, died Sunday at her home on the Mapleton road after a long illness. Mrs. Bischkopf was born in Germany and had lived in this vicinity for 50 years. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a short time ago. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Haseley, and Mrs. William Mittelstaedt of this place and one son William of Lockport; also four brothers Ferdinand, Carl, Norman, and Fred Voelker all of Pendleton. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock from the home and 2:30 at the Shawnee church of which she was a devout member. Intermnet will take place in Shawnee Cemetery.

years.

Bischkopf, and a granddaughter,
all of Lockport; and two sisters,
Mrs. Emma Middlestead and Mrs.

Mrs. Emma Mittelstaedt
LOCKPORT ~ Mrs. Emma Mittelstaedt, 83, formerly of the East Lake Road, Appleton, died Wednesday (Aug. 7, 1968) at the Briody Nursing Home here after a long illness.

A native of the Town of Pendleton, she was born Sept. 27 1884, the daughter of Charles and Wilhelmina Vohler Bischkopf.

Her husband, William Mittlestaedt, died in 1938

She Is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Michael Martin; five grandsons, Robert Wilson of Appleton, Roger and Elton Wilson, both of Newfane, and Lester and Douglas Wilson of Lockport, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Gladys M. Prudom , 81, who was active in several community groups, died Friday (Jan. 9, 1998) in the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina.
A native of Pendleton, the former Gladys M. Hasley was a member of Cheer Rebekah Lodge in Newfane and a past district deputy of the Rebekahs
She also was a member of Quaker Road United Methodist Church, Johnson Creek Senior Citizens, Newfane Grange 1292 and the auxiliaries of Aerie 825, Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Lockport and the Hartland Conservation Club of Newfane.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Herbert R.; two sons, Winston of Medina and Albert of Wisconsin; two daughters, Linda Wilson of Newfane and Lori Sue Hasley; two sisters, Leona Forth of Lockport and Alice Weinheimer of North Tonawanda; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.

RANSOMVILLE - Elton G. Wilson of Ransomville, NY, entered into rest Sunday, February 10, 2014, at home. He was born in Newfane, NY, May 26, 1944, the son of the late Robert and Helen Mittlesteadt Wilson.

Elton worked for Ferree Plastic in Lockport for many years. He also was the union steward. He last worked for Southland Foods in Barker, NY as a pump operator. He moved to Ransomville 37 years ago, coming from Newfane.

Elton enjoyed spending time with his grand-children, family genealogy, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Father of Starr (Paul) Flick of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Matthew (Debra) Wilson of Appleton, NY. Grandfather of Ryan and Jeremy Kaufman and Dominic and Melanie Wilson. Brother of Robert (Mary) Wilson of Bessemer, AL, Roger E. Wilson of Gulf Breeze, FL, Lester A. Wilson of Barker, NY, Ruth (Mike) Martin of Gasport, NY, and the late Douglas Wilson. Winston R. Prudom, age 77 of Middleport, died April 14, 2018 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital following a long illness. He was born December 17, 1940 in Medina to Herbert and Gladys (Haseley) Prudom and had lived in this area all of his life. Winston was a graduate of Royalton Hartland Central School, and had worked as a Union Steward at Nabisco in Lockport until they closed. Following that, he became a teacher at the Albion Correctional Facility where he taught building maintenance until his retirement. He loved farming and had a great love for ALL his animals.Mr. Prudom was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Linda (William) Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Beth (Justin Deemer) Prudom of Tonawanda; his brother, Dr. Albert (Amy) Prudom of WI; his sister, Lori (Dale) Haseley of Middleport; his granddaughter, Alesia; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, Thursday from 3-5 PM where his funeral service will be held immediately following visitation. Mary Lou Mesi passed away on Saturday May 21, 2022 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo.  Born in North Tonawanda on June 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late C. Howard and Alice Haseley Weinheimer.  Mary Lou enjoyed Bingo, traveling but especially love spending time with her famiy.  She is predeceased by her husband, David Mesi, who passed away on July 4, 1990.
Mary Lou is survived by her children Deanna Mesi and David (Patricia) Mesi Jr.  Grandmother of Grayson, Joshua, Isabella and Xzander.  She is also survived by her brother, Revitt Weinheimer and Brother inlaw, Richard (Mary) Mesi.  Mary Lou is also survived by several nephews.
