CONSTABLEVILLE - Miss Elisabeth K. Zimmer, 76, West Main Street, a retired teacher, died early Tuesday morning, April 1, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville where she had lived for the past three years.

Born on February 12, 1899, at Constableville in the building that is now Hotel Parquet, she was a daughter of Joseph and Flora Schwenk Zimmer. Her younger life was spent in Constableville, where she graduated from Constableville Union School. She was graduated from Syracuse University in the Class of 1920.

Miss Zimmer studied abroad in France and Germany for a year after graduation. She taught in the schools in the Constableville area and later in the Inlet and Saranac Lake Schools. Miss Zimmer taught in the Bell Road School, a part of the Rome School System, for 15 years. She retired in 1967.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. St.. Paul's Guild, the Rome Retired Teachers Association and the Centurions of Syracuse University. She is survived by one aunt, Mrs. Clara Linck, Constableville, and several cousins.

Walter W. (Bud) Zimmer, 50,
who lived at 214 Main Street,
Boonville, died at his home on
Monday morning.
Mr. Zimmer had been in ill
health for some time.
He was born in Talcottville
Aug. 19, 1918, a son of Walter and
Vera A. Wemple Zimmer. Most
of his life was spent in the vicin-
ity of Port Leyden and Boonville.
He attended high school in Boon-
ville. For a time he had been
employed as a lumberman for
Marmon and Rocker. For the past
18 years, Mr. Zimmer had been
employed as an operator of heavy
equipment for several construc-
tion companies. He married Ma-
rie Ammon LaPiante May 18,
1952, in Halstedt, Penna.
Besides his wife, he is survived
by his mother, Mrs. Vera Terril-
line, Lowville; six daughters,
Mrs. Sue Ellen Wastonicz of Her-
kimer, Miss Kathleen Zimmer of
Utica, Sharon, Jean, Mary Louise,
and Bethany Jean, all at home;
two step-daughters, Mrs. Garry
Langley of Columbus, Ohio, and
Mrs. Lester Fallon of Rome; two
step sons James and Joseph La-
Piante, both of West Leyden;
five grandchildren; and one bro-
ther, John M. Zimmer of Boon-
ville.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Trai-
nor Funeral Home, where the
Very Rev. Msgr. Robert G. Sulli-
can,, pastor of St. Joseph's
Church, will officiate. Interment
will be made in Calvary Cemete-
ry, Port Leyden.
Friends may call at the funer-
al home Wednesday from 7 until
9 p.m.
Those who will serve as pall
bearers at the funeral are Claude
Fitch, John Strobel, Justin La-
han, Herschel, Lahan, Jack Ben-
nett, and Charles Redmond.
