STROKE CAUSES DEATH OF FREDERICK MESSING
Frederick Messing, eighty years old, died at the home of Supervisoe William H. Kinzly at No. 260 Payne avenue this morning. He sustained a stroke of paralysis last Thursday morning which caused his death. Mr. Messing was born in Germany. He came to America when he was eighteen years old and located in the Town of Wheatfield. That part of the town in which he lived later became a part of the city of North Tonawanda. Mr. Messing retired as a farmer many years ago and was making his home with his daughter, Mrs. William H. Kinzly, at the time of his death. He was a charter member of the St. Peter's church on Oliver St.
Besides Mrs. Kinzley, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Proefrock of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Henry Andrees of Ransomville, one sister, Mrs. William Schnell of Sawyer Creek, and one brother, Bernard Messing of Milwaukee, eleven grandchildren and five great grand children. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the late residence and at 2:30 from the St. Peter's church, Rev. Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Messing cemetery at Sawyer's Creek.

Mrs. Anna Proefrock, 78, died last evening in her residence, 100 Felton St., after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, and a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church and its Ladies’ Aid Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles; two granddaughters, Mrs. Roland Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod, and three great grandchildren. Lewiston, June 19 - Mrs. Wilhelmina Voelker Sattelberg, 74 years old, died last night at the family home, Bridge street, after an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Sattelberg was born in 1862 and had resided in this village for the past 50 years. In 1857 she married Frederick Sattelberg of Lewiston who died 13 years ago. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Niagara Falls. Mrs. Sattelberg is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Georgiana Sattelberg, of this village, Mrs. Augusta Schweitzer of Buffalo, and Miss Emma Voelker, of the Saunders Settlement Road, Town of Lewiston; three brothers, Fred Voelker of Niagara Falls, William Voelker, of Lewiston, and George Voelker of Wolcottsville. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the home. Interment will be in Riverdale cemetery. The Rev. Arthur Smoyer will officiate. death, of. Mrs. Ida Burmaster. 68.
formerly of North Lake street, which
occurred yesterday at the home of
her son, Kenneth Burmaster, at Oak
Ridge, Tenn. Mrs. Burmaster spent
a part of each year visiting her son
and part with relatives in Ransom-
ville. She was the widow of George
Burmaster.
Mrs. Burmaster was born in Ton-
awanda and lived in Ransomville for
the last 58 years. She was an active
member of St. Peters Lutheran
Evangelical church, North Ridge,
and the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Ransomville Fire company.

Edward F. Andrees, 83, of 558 Third St., died Monday (July 6, 1970) at Memorial Medical Center after a two week illness. Mr. Andrees was a retired Aluminum Corporation of America employe and more recently had been a self employed painter. He was born December 8, 1886 in the Town of Wheatfield, the son of Henry and Bertha Andrees. He had lived in this city for about 50 years. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Victor Sattelburg of Oxnard, Calif. and Mrs. Marvin Voelker and Mrs. Wyland Hallock, both of this city, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held a 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hardison Funeral Home, Ransomville, with the Rev. David Musall, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge, officiating. Local Man Dies At Wheel of Auto
Stricken with a heart attack while driving his automobile home from work at the Electro-Metallurgical company in Niagara Falls at 2 a. m. today, Carl F. Proefrock, 53, of 98 Felton street, was found slumped over the wheel of his car on the River road in the LaSalle section of the Falls, lifeless.
Coroner James Heary of Niagara Falls investigated and issued a certificate of death from a heart ailment. Proefrock had been under the care of a local physician for some time.
Proefrock was a lifelong resident and member of St. Peter's church on Oliver street and Sutherland Lodge, No. 826, F.&A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda A., nee Kowsky; two daughters, Mrs. Rowland E. Stubbs and Mrs. Elmer H. Holrod; three grandchildren and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Proefrock, all of North Tonawanda.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the residence with the Rev. J. J. Braun officiating. Burial will be in Friedens cemetery.

Injuries Fatal to
Walter C. Voelker

Walter C. Voelker, aged 20, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Voelker of the Saun-
ders Settlement road, died last evening
shortly after 8 o'clock at Memorial hos-
pital, from injuries received in a col-
lision between the motorcycle he was
riding and a wagon driven by Chief Wil-
liams of the Tuscarora reservation. The
accident occurred Wednesday evening,
October 10, and Voelker ran head-on into
the read of Williams' rig, on which there
were no lights. He sustained a broken
right leg and a fractured skull, and was
taken to Memorial hospital. He never
recovered consciousness except partially.
The body has been removed to the fam-
ily home and the funeral will be held
Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev.
Herman Brezing officiating. Interment
will be made in Riverdale cemetery.

Fred Voelker,. 52, of 3118 Saunders Settlement Rd.,
Sanborn, was pronounced dead on arrival today at Memorial
Hospital where he was taken after a car he was
driving left Ward Road, near Saunders Settlement Road,
Town of Lewiston, and crashed into a ditch and
telephone pole.
State police at the Military
Road substation said the ac-
cident happened as Voelker
was en route to work about
7:30 a.m.
Coroner F. Eugene Ingram
said he was withholding a
death certificate pending an
investigation.
State police said there was
a possibility the man may
have been stricken ill before
the accident. ,
A native of Niagara Falls,
Mr. Voelker was employed as
an electrician for the Electrometallurgical
Division of the
Union Carbide Chemicals
Corp.
He lived most of his life in
Niagara Falls before moving
to Sanborn. He was the
youngest of five sons of the
late Fred and Sarah Voelker.
Two brothers. Lawrence and
Roy, predeceased him.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Viola Voelker; two
daughters, Mrs. Fred (Charlotte)
Bruening, Niagara Falls,
and Mrs. Edward (Shirley)
Graham, St. Paul, Minn.; two
brothers, Chester Voelker,
Fort Latidcrdale ,FlaM and
Marvin Voelker, this city;
seven grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.,
Funeral arrangements are
being completed at the Pike
and Jones Funeral Home,
Sanborn.
