Richard Donaby.
Niagara Falls, Oct. 27.—This morning at
0 o'clock Richard Donaby, superintendent
of car repairs at this point for the New
York Central, dropped dead in his office
in the lower'Central yards. The cause of
death was heart failure. He was born hi
England, December 5, 1835, and was,
therefore, about ti8 years old. He came to
Niagara Falls from Albany twenty-eight
years ago, and had always been in the employ
of the New York Central. He was a
mechanic of acknowledged ability and a
man respected by ail. He is survived by
three daughters, Mrs. George A. Watson,
Mrs. Clark Shipston, Miss Edna
Donaby, and one SOB, John.' The family
home is at No. 2,340 Lockport street. He
was a member of Niagara River Lodge,
No. 785, F. and A. M.

Mri. Mary Watson, 87,
Dies in Lewiston
Mrs. Mary E. Watson, wife of the
late George A. Watson, a North
end hardware dealer who switched
to farming, died yesterday in Lewiston.
Mrs, Watson was born in Albany
and came to this city in 1878. She
was £7 at the time of her death. •
She and her husband, whp died
in 1941, moved-to Lewiston in 1912.
Mrs. Watson was a member of
the Presbyterian church in Lewiston,
president of the BYC society and a
member of the Study club.
Survivors include a son, George
A, Watson. Jr.. Lewiston: a daughter.
Mrs. Janet G. Bump, Albany;
two sisters, Mrs. Clark. Shipston",
this city, and Mrs. Chester Hart,
Highland Park, 111.; five grandchildren
and two great' grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
the Cornell and Daggett Funeral
chapel"at 2 p.m- tomorrow, with the
Rev. George H. Bost officiating.
Interment will be in OAwood cemetery

Mrs. Shipston
Dies at 92
Mrs. Esther Anne Shipston,
92, of Lake Road, Youngstown,
died Friday night (Dec. 5, 1969)
in Memorial Hospital after a
lengthy illness.
She was born in Albany and
came to this city in 1887 and
married her husband, the late
Clark Shipston in 1901. He died
in 1961.
He was the former owner of
the Tiger Supply Co., which is
now operated by his son.
She was a member of the
Epiphany Episcopal Church.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. Edith Whaley,
Miss Esther Ann Shipston, both
of Youngstown; and Mrs. Ruth
Hulst, of Columbus, Ohio; two
sons, Thomas D. Shipston of
Snyder, and George William
Shipston of this city; and six
grandchillren and five greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
in the Cornell and Daggett
Chapel Monday at 11 a.m., the
Rev. John E. Wickondln officiating.
Interment will be in
Riverdale Cemetery

William F. 'Bill' Whaley died at home in Astor, FL, on Oct 6, 2015. Bill was born in Niagara Falls, NY on Nov. 2, 1933.

He graduated from high school in Lewiston, NY and earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Cincinatti. He was employed by the Carborundum Corporation, Tiger Builders Supply, and then Empire Builders Supply until he retired in 1995.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Jane (Dobrasz) Whaley; his daughters, Andrea Haney and Joyce Ellinor; their husbands, Daniel Haney and David Ellinor; grandchildren, Alan and Carolyn Haney; and a sister, Alice Lederhouse of Oxford, ME. Bill was a great man with a big heart. He will be deeply missed.
