    Buffalo Express, Aug 18, 1922
    William F. Heschke, 54 years old, a Wheatfield farmer living on the Nash road, was found dead at his home shortly before noon today by his wife. Coroner J. E. Helwig was notified. Death was attributed to heart disease. Mr. Heschke did not feel well this morning when he arose so he did not work on the farm as usual. Mrs. Heschke went to the city market with a load of produce. When she returned shortly before noon, she found her husband dead in bed. Besides his widow, Heschke leaves a son, Edward Heschke, and four daughters, Misses Clara and Leona Heschke and Mrs. William Andres and Mrs. Arthur Harder of the town of Wheat held. The funeral will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later in the Saint John's Lutheran church at Saint Johnsburg. Burial will be in North Ridge cemetery.

    Mrs. Amanda Harder, 77, of 524 Locust St., North Tonawanda, formerly of 7248 Ward Road, Town of Wheatfield, died in DeGraff Memorial Hospital Saturday (Oct 21, 1972) after a long illness. She was a life long resident of this area and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St John's Ladies Aid Society, St. Johnsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons. Henry W. Harder of North Tonawanda, and Norman A. Harder of the Town of Wheatfield; a daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Irene) Broeker of North Tonawanda; three sisters, Mrs. William (Florence) Andres, Mrs. Edward (Clara) Zastrow, and Mrs. Leona Werth, all of the Town of Wheatfield, five grandsons, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St John's Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Albert W. Bahr officiating. Burial will be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., and all day Monday and Tuesday.

    NORTH TONAWANDA Edward L. Heschke, 64. of 221 Robinson St., died unexpectedly Sunday (Nov. 5, 1961) after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was employed as a lock fitter at the Remington-Rand Division of Sperry-Rand Corp. here. Born in the Town of Cambria, Mr. Heschke lived in this city for 44 years. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and an exempt member of the Nashville Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving, are his widow. Minnie Andrees Heschke; two sons, E d w a r d A. Heschke. Clarence, and Herbert W. Heschke, this city; four sisters, Mrs. Amanda Harder. Mrs. William Andrees, Mrs. Edward Zastrow and Mrs. William Werth, all of this city: and one grandchild. Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer of St. Matthew's Church will conduct the funeral service a 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wattengel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

He was the son of the late William and Florence (nee Heschke) Andrees. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theatre. He was the owner and operator of Gold Star Associates, Inc. and was a former employee of the Wurlitzer Co., the Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and member of the Church Council. He was a member and past president of the Rescue Fire Co., a former member of the Adams Fire Co. and was a member of American Legion, Wheatfield Post #1451. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, vacationing with his family, traveling in his motorhome and dancing. He also enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. His favorite thing was having a Manhattan for Happy Hour with family and friends. He was the husband of the late Arlene Ellen (nee Freck) Andrees for 63 years. Bill was the son of the late William C. and Florence (Heschke) Andrees, the brother of the late Edward W. (Arlene) Andrees and the late Virginia (Richard) Lemke. He was predeceased by his loving wife Dolores (Moll). He lived most of his life in the Town of Wheatfield and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church serving as Elder and Treasurer. He was a member of the Adams Fire Company and in the past served as Chairman of the Town of Wheatfield Planning Board. Bill spent most of his career in the automobile business as a salesman at Lampe Motors and J.C. Stevens and Parts Manager at Muck Motors. He also worked at Wurlitzer as a draftsman, at Curtiss-Wright during World War II on the P-40 and C-46 airplanes, and at Bell Aerospace as an Expeditor. Bill’s greatest source of joy and pride was his family. He is survived by two sons Gary W. (Gail) Andrees of East Amherst, NY, David L. (Marianna) Andrees of North Tonawanda, NY, and a daughter Susan B.
