    GASTONIA, NC —
    Ruth V. Gorski, age 72, passed away on January 31, 2013, at her home. She was born on July 20, 1940 in Niagara County, NY, daughter of the late Edwin and Beulah Mante. Mrs. Gorski was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gastonia, NC.
    She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl McAbee; husband, Jonathan of Gastonia; brother, Harold Mante and his wife, Rosemary of North Tonawanda, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer McCune and Kimberly McCune; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Gabrielle, Keylan, Damien, Aydriannah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester J. Gorski; and great-granddaughter, Kailey Carroll.
    The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC. A graveside and interment service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, officiated by Rev. Dr. J. George Gilbert. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
