Ave., North Tonawanda, died
Tuesday (July 17, 1962) at Northtown
Nursing Home after a long
illness. Born in Getzville, N.Y.,
she had resided in the Tonawandas
for about 60 years. She was
a member of Salem United
Church of christ. She was the
widow of Henry W. Pfanner, and
is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Arnold (Margaret) Proe-
frock of North Tonawanda; three
grandchildren, Mrs. Paul (Doro-
thy)Chapman, Mrs. Gary (Sally)
Geartz, and Robert Proefrock;
six great-grandchildren, and four
sisters, Mrs. Cora Knight, Mrs.
Amelia Semper, both of North
Tonawanda, Mrs. Albert Liscoff.
and Mrs. Catherine Stecher, both
of Williamsvilll, N.Y. Friends
may call at Hilliard Funeral
Home Inc., 147 Delaware St., Tonawanda,
where services will be at
2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Donald
L. Gardella will officiate. Burial
in Elmlawn Cemetery. The family
will be present from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m

The funeral of Harold Pfanner, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Pfanner,
who was killed by an automobile on
Delaware street Saturday afternoon,
was held from the late home at 2
o'clock this afternoon and a half hour
later from the Salem Church on Morgan
street. The services were conducted
by the Rev. Hans Horney.
Burial was in Elmlawn.

PROEFROCK - Margaret C. Proefrock, 86, of the Town of Wheatfield, Tuesday (June 20, 1989) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Proefrock; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Chapman of the Town of Wheatfield and Mrs. John (Sally) Ferguson of Amherst; a son, Robert (Betty) Proefrock of the Town of Wheatfield; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Werner Weinrich will officiate. Interment White Chapel Memorial Park.

Robert A. Proefrock, 86, of North Tonawanda, Tuesday (February 23, 2016) in Buffalo General Hospital. Mr. Proefrock was born in North Tonawanda, NY on August 19, 1929 to Arnold and Margaret (Pfonner) Proefrock. Robert was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Airforce, 62 year member of Adams Fire Co. in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, working for his Fire Co. and spending time with his family. Robert was predeceased by his wife Mary (Machaby) Proefrock who died in 2015.
Robert is survived by his children Robert A. (April) Proefrock, Beth (Kama) Patterson, Jan Loeffert-Foss, brother of Dorothy Chapman, and Sally (John) Ferguson, grandfather of Melissa (Mike), Nicole (Jay), Amber, Gary, Katie, Nicholas (Ashley) and Robbie, great grandmother of Brandon, Dillon, Emily, and Jordan. also Surviving are many nieces and nephews
a Celebration of life will be held Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Adams Fire Hall,7113 Nash Rd. N. Tonawanda NY from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Adams Fire Co.

Mary (daughter of MACHABY, Francis J and DESJARDINS, Beatrice) was born on 31 Oct 1931 in Malone, Franklin County, NY; died on 19 May 2015 in Degraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. Sally A. Ferguson, age 83, of Amherst, on November 24, 2022. Sally was born to the late Arnold and Margaret Proefrock and is predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy (Paul) Chapman, and Robert (Betty) Proefrock. She will be greatly missed by her husband John and her children, Gary Geartz and Sherry (Daniel) Harlach. Sally leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Katie, Sara, Scott (Amanda), and Kristen; as well as her great grandchildren Leo and Dalton. She leaves behind the Okun family, whom she loved dearly. She will also be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews, and her loving friends and neighbors.
Sally had a servant’s heart and spent much of her time volunteering at Journey’s End, Saint Christopher Outreach, and The Newman Center. Sally and John played an integral part in serving refugees at Journey's End by providing them with clothing and hygiene products. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling with John to the Caribbean, and spending time at the family cottage in Canada. Sally loved to cook for her family and cherished them above all else. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road, on Tuesday, December 6th, at 5:00pm.
