Notes:

Arlene (Machowczyk) Polniak, 94 years old, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Facility.  She was born in Niagara Falls on December 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Staba) Machowczyk.

Mrs. Polniak attended Niagara Falls city schools. She worked at Kimberly Clark for a short time and then at the family-owned Kantanista's Grocery Store for many years.  She was a lifelong member of the former Echo Club and their Choral Society,  performing at concerts around the United States.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping, bingo, visiting casinos and traveling to Las Vegas and Florida with her late husband, Stephen J. Polniak.  

Mrs. Polniak is survived by her daughter, Darlene Polniak; her beloved dog, Maggie, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen J. Polniak who passed away on January 16, 1992; her sisters, Theresa Cousins and Pauline Mis, and her brother, Leo Matthews.  
Mrs. Polniak's family would like to extend a special thank you to the front-line workers at Our Lady of Peace for all they do to try to help the residents such as Arlene.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 am at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Mt. Carmel, 2486 Grand Avenue with interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.  ARRANGEMENTS ENTRUSTED TO THE LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
