SANBORN — Mrs. Mina
Crosby, 82, died Monday (Oct.
10, 1960) at her home, 117
Franklin St., Tonawanda. after
a lengthy illness. Her death
followed that of her brother,
Emrey Smith, 77 of West St.,
by only 24 hours.
Mrs. Crosby was born in the
Town of Lewiston, May 24,
1878, daughter of George and
Eunice Sornberger Smith. She
had spent most of her life in
Shawnee, moving to North
Tonawanda three years ago.
Her husband, Edwin Crosby,
who operated a general store
in Shawnee, died in 1945.
Survivors include a son,
Erwin Crosby, tonawanda; a
daughter, Mrs. Francis Durfy,
Shawnee; three sisters, Mrs.
Mary Grauer, Mrs. Elsie
Moors, both of Niagara Falls
and Mrs. Hester Evans, Wil-
son; four grandchildren and
one great-grandchild. A broth-
er, Emery Smith, died just 24
hours before.
Joint funeral services for
Mrs. Crosby and Mr. Smith
will be held at 2 p.m. Wednes-
day at Pike and Jones Funeral
Home. Rev. W. Donald Haus-
ser officiating. Burial for both
will be in North Ridge Ceme-
tery.
