    NIAGARA FALLS -
    Norman Snyder, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 71. He was born in Niagara Falls on April 5, 1942, a son of the late Norman and Margaret (Crawley) Snyder.
    He attended local schools including Military Road School. After school he worked as a mechanic at Western Transmission on Hyde Park Boulevard and then at N.F. International Airport until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Snyder was a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast and was an avid supporter of local businesses and coffee shops, especially Justin Tyme.
    He is survived by three children, JoAnn Lanich, Elizabeth (Dave) Rice and Alexander J. (Michele) Snyder; five siblings, Florence (Lewis) D'Antuono, Katherine (Mark) Concialdi, and Deborah, Helen and Edward Snyder. Mr. Snyder was the loving Papa of seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and also had many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Snyder and Richard Snyder (2012).
    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave. on Tuesday from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM. Burial will be in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston. Donations may be made in Mr. Snyder's name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. The family of Mr. Snyder would like to thank the staff at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for their wonderful care.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Richard Gerald Snyder, "Julio", went into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday May 16, 2012. Richie "Julio" was born on May 31, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, the beloved son of Norman and Margaret (Crawley) Snyder. He was the husband of Sandra (Richardson) Snyder.

    Richie (Julio) graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield in 1969. After high school, Richie served his country in Vietnam as a medic in the Army. Richie later worked for Unicco and was most recently employed at Niagara University. He was a sports enthusiast who coached hockey and played softball. His greatest joy was his time with his family and friends. "All his family were friends and all his friends were family."

    He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Sandra; and six siblings, Norman, Edward (late Katherine), Helen and Debbie Snyder, Florence (Louie) D'Antonio and Katherine (Mark) Concialdi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls.
