Obituary
Allan W Zuch age 92 was called home to the Lord on Monday May 9, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Al, as he was known, served in the US Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952 to return home to marry his love, Beverly. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, traveling and supervising bingo at Rescue Fire Co. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Beverly (nee Richert) Zuch. He is survived by daughters Patti (Daniel) Hutchinson of The Colony, TX, Anna (Wayne) Stoner of Loveland, CO and son Garry (Susan) Zuch of North Tonawanda. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences. It is greatly appreciated. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Chruch 453 Old Falls Blvd. North Tonawanda, NY 14120 which would have been Al’s wishes.

NORTH TONAWANDA-The driver of a car sought
in connection with a hit-run accident was killed early to-
day when his car hit a tree in Niagara Falls Blvd. at the
entrance of Melody Fair, Wurlitzer Park.
Roger Gordon Zuch, 19, of Klemer Rd., Wheatfield,
was promounced dead on arrival at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance. He suffered
a fraactured skull and broken
left leg.
The youth was alone in the
car, North Tonawanda police
said, and failed to negotiate a
slight bend in the road, crash-
ing into the tree at 3:17 a.m.

said they wara searching for a
car, Identified as the one
young Zuch was driving, after
a Niagara Falls motorist had
reported being sideswiped
about a half-hour earlier in the

uties he had been nearly
forced from the road about 3
a.m. by two cars. He obtained
the license number of one,
which he said was the, one
which nicked the side of his
car, causing an estimated $10
damage.
Deputy Gilbert said the license
number was registered
to Zuch. Because he knew the
family, the deputy said he
went to the Zuch home and
talked with Mr. and Mrs. Wil-

Later, as the d e p u t i es
searched for the missing auto,
they came upon the accident
in the boulevard,
City police said Dr. John C,
Kinzly was called. He ordered
the body taken to the Fretthold
Funeral Home, where funeral
services are being arranged,
In additioiv-to his parents,
surviving are two brothers,
Allen Zuch, this city, and Vernon
Zuch, at home; and a sister,
Kathleen Zuch, at home.
The Zuch youth attended
public schools here and North
Tonawanda High School. He
was employed by the C.D.C.
Contracting'Co, this city.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home by the Rev.
Frederick Hinners of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church. Burial will
be in St. Paul's Lutheran
Cemetery.
